Nick Candy is selling his £54m superyacht while he builds a better one

If you’re in the market for a new superyacht , Nick Candy’s whopping number might be just what you’re looking for.

The billionaire property tycoon has announced that his lavish superyacht, named 11.11, is now on the market for 59,500,000 Euros (£53,758,547.50) but you better be quick.

The 63-metre long vessel was built in 2015 by the prestigious Italian yacht builder Benetti and scooped a World Superyacht Award in 2016. Candy expects it to be snapped up quickly after demand for high-spec yachts surged during the pandemic, with the super-rich looking for ways to travel in the most Covid-safe way.

Candy said in a statement,'I've been approached over the last few years to sell it – often by charter guests who after spending one or two weeks on board want to buy it – but I've always said no.

'I'm currently nine months down the line with designs for a new and bigger yacht, so now feels like a good time to sell, especially as there is increasing demand for superyachts which are viewed as a safer alternative to shore-based travel due to their natural isolation and self-sufficiency.'

The new owner will find stunning Art Deco-style interiors inside, designed to be brief by Candy and his wife, former actress and singer, Holly Valance. There’s plenty of space for large groups of friends and family. The VIP suite has its own separate lounge and marble bathroom, while the master suite comes with its own private deck, 180-degree views and jet pool. There’s also a nursery and four further guest cabins.

Days can be spent soaking up the rays from the split-level sundeck, with its large Jacuzzi pool and bar. There’s also an on-board spa with a treatment room and steam room, helipad for ferrying guests, a trampoline and a climbing wall, plus heaps of water toys to keep you busy.

Candy said: 'We have made some amazing memories on board over the past five years. The service level on board 11.11 is like no five-star hotel on the planet.

'The crew have taken service, food, hospitality, and maintenance of a superyacht to a whole new level but it's time to move on and build something new that works for our family and lifestyle in the future.

'I have always had a passion for yachts and get huge enjoyment from the project side of building and designing a boat – it is not dissimilar to building a house or an apartment building.'

Benetti and the owner of 11.11 have created a striking boat with stunning design features, but as with many things, beauty also comes from unexpected places. Personality can make all the difference, and 11.11 has this in spades.

A unique and key aspect of this yacht is that she changed hands before her launch, and took on a new life with just 10 months to go before she was due to leave her Italian shipyard. The new owner burst onto the scene with a vitality that comes from being part of a design dynasty, and worked tirelessly with his team to change and reshape an unloved project into his idea of a floating paradise. And this adventure shines through in every detail, every design feature, and every little object d’art lovingly placed on board. Named in honour of the owner’s very young daughter, 11.11 is a true family yacht. “It feels very different to many boats,” explains the owner, himself an experienced yacht owner. “Especially when you see my daughter’s cot. It’s actually the same cot that she has in our homes in LA and in London, so she doesn’t feel any different when she comes here.” The stylish cot is not hidden away in a cabin on the lower deck, instead it occupies pride of place in a little ante-chamber leading to the owner’s suite on the upper deck.

Superyacht 11.11: The Latest Delivery From Benetti

Benetti has announced the delivery of superyacht 11∙11 , one of the finest examples of the Italian yacht builder's design and construction expertise to date.

Measuring 63 metres, this motor yacht is characterised by her elegant lines and distinctive vertical axe bow, the second ever plumb-bow yacht designed by Benetti’s naval architects.

The high calibre design in question is also enhanced by the distinct shape and width of her hull, which presents the advantage of increased living and storage space aboard. 11.11 was significantly redeveloped from her original concept in just 10 months, this full displacement superyacht has four decks contained in her steel hull and aluminium superstructure and can accommodate up to 12 guests and 16 crew. The external aspect of this substantial vessel is elegant and streamlined, yet muscular at the same time. In addition to the axe bow, Benetti has created further elements that would ensure an environment linked as closely as possible to the sea. 11∙11 is a reflection of modern luxury superyacht design and this is particularly evident in the superior quality and high specification of her interiors, which provide all the comfort, functionality and innovation of the most luxurious residential home. From the principal living and entertaining spaces, to the spacious crew quarters and superbly-appointed galley, fine craftsmanship, exquisite finishes, and intricate attention to detail are at the heart of the interior and all furniture, joinery and soft furnishings are bespoke. The generous and spacious living spaces both inside and out offer softness, comfort and functionality. The Main Salon is an impressive entertaining space with its custom-made U-shape sofa, 12-seater formal dining table and calming grey colour palette, while the Sky Lounge on the Upper Deck offers a more informal lounge environment complete with bespoke cocktail bar and generous seating. There are numerous opportunities for dining across the main and upper decks, but perhaps the most distinguished can be found on the upper deck aft where 14 guests can be accommodated on a bespoke backlit quartzite dining table. An outside bar crafted from over a tonne of natural Italian fluted stone and two symmetrical seating areas with custom-fitted sofas complete this exceptional entertainment space. The most indulgent spot on the yacht comes in the form of a dedicated Spa area. The Steam Room is made entirely from pearlescent mosaic tiles with smoky quartz stones and soothing chroma therapy. The white marble Treatment Room features an adjustable massage bed and heated towel cabinet. On the lower deck, four spacious guest suites comprise two double cabins and two twin cabins. All suites benefit from a beautifully designed en-suite bathroom with Italian marble hand-selected from the quarry and bespoke Lalique crystal taps to complement the generous basin areas. There are also powder rooms on every deck.

As the yacht is designed for the owner’s family, child safety features highly in her design including rounded edges and fabric-wrapped walls and furniture, while a child’s cabin is adjacent to the Master Suite.

Performance & Range

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 17 knots with a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles from her 120,000 litre fuel tanks at 16 knots. Soundwave features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels.

Onboard Soundwave has a range of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay. Guests can feel the wind in their hair and jump the waves on one of the WaveRunners. Additionally, there are towable toys offering fun and adventure. Another excellent feature are SEABOBs, that allow you to skim along the surface or steer under the crystal water and see a variety of aquatic sea life. If that isn't enough Soundwave also features kayaks, WindSurfers, paddleboards and snorkelling equipment. When it comes to Tenders, Soundwave has you covered - with two tenders, including a 8m/26'3" Benetti Limo Tender.

Benetti yacht 11.11 is a winner at the 2016 World Superyacht Awards.  She is only the second plumb-bowed boat built by the fabled Italian yard.  This beautiful lady was originally commissioned to look like a Russian Czar’s palace.  Her first owner walked away when the yacht was just 40% complete.  A new owner stepped in to transform the yacht into an award-winning monochromatic masterpiece.  What a fortunate owner!  The current trend is to build yachts with hard, minimalist edges.  This yacht’s main living areas onboard yacht 11.11 offer suppleness and comfort.

CHILD-FRIENDLY HOME, NOT PALACE, ON THE  WATER

Functionality and comfort on board Benetti yacht 11.11 are found everywhere. This is a testament to the owner’s desire to create a home on the water and not a palace.  Especially unique is the “child-proof” design of the interior. Curves replace edges at toddler height.  The seating areas in the lower and upper saloons are clustered around coffee tables that you can bounce off of or fall asleep against. UNIQUE FEATURE
