One of the best ways to experience the USVIs is by sailboat and Blue Dream Charters did not disappoint. We booked a private charter for two days of our vacation where Tommy + Erin showed us some of the most beautiful spots in St. Thomas + St. John. The views were stunning and the snorkeling was so fun. Six of us had a wonderful private charter out of Cruz Bay last week. Captain Will was knowledgable and accommodating of our diverse snorkel group, providing close supervision to those who needed it. Jarred (sp?), his first mate, was a wealth of information about the history, landscape, marine life and local culture peppering information into informal conversation throughout. We sailed, visited a couple of beautiful reefs we could not have accessed via Jeep on St. John, and enjoyed a very relaxing day on the water together. Captain Tommy and his crew catered to our every whim as they dodged the rainstorms and found the perfect, quiet, beautiful anchorage where they produced a delicious meal of fresh mahi or chicken tacos with all the fixings. The boat was extremely comfortable and spacious and a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy a special birthday. The margaritas were excellent, and they kept them coming. It was truly a perfect evening. My husband and I had the best time on this excursion. This was by far the highlight of our trip!! We got to see different islands and learn so much history about St John and St Thomas. The crew also had snorkel gear so we could snorkel each island we stopped at, we saw a sunken ship, sea turtles, stingrays. The crew was OUTSTANDING, Kenny and Susanna went above and beyond and made the best cocktails. This was such a wonderful experience!! Highly recommend stormy pirates. (I even changed my pick up from st Thomas to St. John and they were so accommodating)

What a way to spend a day. Met the crew at the dock, jumped on the boat, and had the time of our lives for the day. A couple of snorkel stops, a little sightseeing of the beautiful island of St. John, and then lunch at Lime Out Taco Bar. Lime Out was an excellent experience floating in the clear water surrounded by a beautiful area and eating some great tacos. This was my second trip with Stormy Pirates, and I brought the entire family as my first trip with them was great. Thanks to the crew for making this a day to remember.

We had an amazing time on their Sale Pending 2 boat. Captain Rich was funny and a really good Captain, we knew we were in good hands and safe. Tara, the crew member was so authentically attentive and caring. We had drinks all day long, sodas, water, punch, cocktails. They had fruit and muffins waiting, a scheduled pizza delivery on the boat, snorkeling equipment and the knowledge the guests needed to find sea creatures. So many small detailed extras to make the day superb!

One of the farthest British Virgin Islands, Virgin Gorda is home to the world-famous Baths – a series of giant smooth, granite boulders strewn across magnificent white sandy beaches. The Baths is truly a unique destination for adventure seekers who enjoy boulder jumping or being off the beaten path.

The Caribbean is known for its clear waters and beautiful beaches. The snorkeling here is amazing, and Norman Island has two such spots.

The Virgin Islands offers some incredible restaurants and bars.  The island offers traditional American food, restaurants, and fast food locations, but it also offers an assortment of Caribbean dishes that mix culture with regional influences. Some of the local favorites are Fish and Fungi, Johnny Cakes, Callaloo, (soup or stew), Conch Fritters, Pates, and Rotis. Tap & Still is a local brewery that serves burgers, booze, breakfast and beer. The brewery was started as an attraction for cruise ship passengers but has become so much more.

Tap & Still is a local brewery where guests can watch the craft beer being made while sipping on their own cold brew and then enjoy a meal of burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, wings, or breakfast food as they try the various local brew flavors.

Hooman Pedram is the owner of three Tap & Still restaurants and Chicken & Bowling. He wanted to start a distillery as an attraction for cruise ship passengers but found his business ventures took much of his time. Meanwhile, the Brugos brothers, Joe and John, were operating Virgin Islands Craft Distillers, a small-batch distillery in the Gregorie East Marina on St. Thomas, handcrafting vodka, rum and gin. They brought in a fourth partner, Mario Austin, a local rental car franchise owner, to form Rock City Brewing Company within the Tap & Still site in Havensight Mall.

Old Stone Farmhouse features "Chef Inspired" fine dining in an intimate and elegant atmosphere. The cuisine is ingredient-driven and will change with each season. 

The Old Stone Farm House Restaurant is an award-winning, fine dining restaurant set in a 200-year old, restored plantation field house overlooking the lush countryside of St. Thomas.

The once 300-acre plantation stretched from Magen’s bay to Mandahl. More than two centuries ago the Old Stone Farmhouse was the core of a Danish sugar plantation at Estate Lovendahl. The graceful arches, two- foot-thick walls, and majestic rafters are reminiscent of St. Thomas during the days of the flourishing Clipper Ship trade, sugar plantations on lush rolling hills, and the aristocratic mansions of prosperous merchants. ​

Today this magnificently converted farm building is considered one of the best examples of classic West Indian architecture on the island.

Virgilio's Italian Restaurant

Virgilio's has been in St. Thomas since 1988 and is a legendary island iconic eatery that is frequented by many island VIP's because of its authentic and delicious Italian dishes.

If it’s not on the menu we’ll make it for you,”  says Virgilio Del Mare, founder of St. Thomas Premier Italian restaurant. “Your delight is our delight.”

At Virgilio’s, we will pamper your palettes with an array of homemade pasta (Grandma’s recipes) complimented with numerous sauces. Bluebeard's Castle

Bluebeard's Castle is an historic property dating back to the 1600's. The resort occupies an entire hilltop with spectacular views overlooking the harbor and town of Charlotte Amalie.

The resort includes a centuries-old fortress bearing the name “Bluebeard,” after the infamous pirate, and check-in takes place in the former residence of the Danish governor of the island. Island Transportation

One of the best ways to get around in the U.S. Virgin Islands is by water! In fact, St. Thomas is one of the busiest cruise ports in the Caribbean. Another popular form of transportation is in a car–either renting your own or taking a taxi. In fact, because U.S. Virgin Islands are part of the United States, you don’t need a special driving permit, just a valid U.S. driver’s license. Keep in mind the roads are often narrow, winding, and steep.

You will board a Horizon 48' charter yacht equipped with three queen size beds and three full bathrooms. The flybridge has commanding views, plenty of seating, and a sundeck. The aft deck boasts more seating around a table, along with a charcoal grill where you can enjoy a freshly grilled lunch. Follow the sea stairs down to the full-width swim platform for access to the water with a ladder. Once done swimming enjoy the freshwater shower (yes, there is hot and cold water).

We are familiar with the local happenings, places to avoid and things you just can’t miss depending on the time of year you are vacationing here.  All of our beautiful boats are available for charter year round, even during off-season.

Compass Point Marina is conveniently located on the East End of the island, making for a quick and easy sail to St John, St Croix, and the BVI. 

Within our marina you will find a couple of easy dining option.  The Dive Bar is a small, quaint island favorite serving burgers, brat, spicy chicken sandwiches, and fresh fish when available.    Open air with a local flair.

An Hour Late is a great breakfast and lunch spot and they open quite early, so feel free to grab some breakfast prior to your morning briefings.  They also make some awesome "create your own" sandwiches if you're looking for something easy to take along for day one.

Red Hook is only a 5 minute cab ride away if you're looking for a few more options or alot more night life.
