SEAGLASS 74 - ´The Ultimate Cruising Yacht.´ Best in Show 66ft and up, 2019 St. Thomas Charter Yacht Show A spacious and pacey power catamaran, 74ft (22.5m) Horizon-built SEAGLASS 74 is highly awarded and popular with charter guests for her many features and amenities. Described as “The Ultimate Cruising Yacht”, SEAGLASS boasts exceptional space equal to a much larger monohull vessel and is available for charter in the Bahamas. The modern clean lines of Sea Glass 74, a Horizon PC74, have been skillfully created from the drawing board of renowned designer, JC Espinosa, known for his flair for designing very elegant mega yachts. Sea Glass 74 is a stunningly beautiful power catamaran with free-flowing lines, a superstructure that is pleasing to the eye and draws your attention to study her complex simplicity. The yacht’s luxurious, plush interior sets her apart. Charter guests will appreciate the main deck, with all the primary living areas on a single level, including the massive aft deck with dining for 10 and lounging for 8, a bar and ample storage lockers. The large saloon offers seating for 8, separate inside formal dining for 8, gourmet galley with island and bar with 4 stools. Forward on the main deck is the glamorous full beam primary stateroom with walk around King bed, 180-degree views, spacious en-suite bathroom, sofa, vanity, and ample storage. The lower decks offer two large King VIP en-suite staterooms, port, and starboard forward. The fourth guest en-suite stateroom, port aft, can be configured to accommodate a couple or 3 children. The crew cabin is in the starboard aft section of the yacht. The yacht’s flybridge is an entertainer’s delight, with large comfortable dining and lounging for up to 10 guests, a well-equipped bar with seating for 5, a day head, a separate BBQ area and dinghy stowage plus loads of room for chaise lounges once anchored off a secluded beach in an exotic location. The aft deck Hi/Lo swim platform, suspended between the hulls, ensures that everyone can access the water with ease. The foredeck offers two large sun pads and bow seats. Paul grew up on the coast of Cornwall in the UK where he learnt to sail dinghies when he was only 12 years old. He achieved his Commercial Yacht Master and Cruise Instructor in Gibraltar, which opened the door to this amazing lifestyle. He has sailed extensively in the UK, the Atlantic & the Mediterranean. In more recent years, has been fulfilling his dream of operating luxury Catamarans in the Caribbean & Bahamas. Paul got hooked on diving in 1995 and became a Dive Instructor in 2012. He enjoys underwater photography and would love to dive beneath the ice in the Antarctic. Growing up around the Rocky Mountains in Canada, as a youth April wanted to explore the world, and soon traveled from coastline to coastline. She lived in New Zealand for 7 years where she fell in love with the adventure of sailing. It began with her employment as a stewardess on a 72ft Swath Ocean Catamaran in 2007, and quickly grew from there. Obtaining her Commercial Yacht Master and becoming a qualified diver opened up a love, respect and appreciation for life on the water. Combined with a passion for nutritional creativity, April uses innovative techniques to bring you fresh, healthy dishes and sail you into a culinary paradise. George Filip is a Romanian who speaks fluent English and is fluent at all watersports which makes him a great first mate. Equally adept at assisting above and below deck. He helps the Captain and guests on deck and acts as chief steward below - George is especially popular at Happy Hour where he shows off his expertise as a mixologist. Paul, April and George feel privileged to be your hosts and thoroughly looking forward to giving you a vacation of a lifetime. Crew are fully vaccinated for COVID 19.

This past week has been the epitome of a true vacation with Paul, April and George taking care of navigation, all meals and keeping a drink in our hands at just the right time. All we had to do was forget about routine life back in Seattle and experience a true vacation. You were all so professional, gracious, knowledgeable and kind. Your ´hospitality quotient´ is a 10+!! April, your meals were both artful and delicious and we eagerly anticipated each one. WOW! You made homemade pasta on the boat! Paul, we trusted you from the beginning and you have the rare quality of knowledge, skill and kindness. George you were always there thinking of our needs with perfect anticipation which is an exceptional quality. This week flew by and I feel so appreciative of how you three took care of us. Take good care and I truly hope our paths will cross again. P.S. Brad´s birthday music, candle and profiteroles were amazing! Thank you! Our 7-day adventure around the BVI was so much fun. We were relaxed and had a chance to just enjoy our surroundings. Each day we had wonderful food and drinks. Foiling was very popular with our group! Our week aboard SeaGlass was a delight from the moment we stepped onboard. Every bite was delicious - thank you April and our service was impeccable George and Captain Paul! It was our first BVI trip and it won´t be our last! You are simply the best! Real, kind-hearted professionals, 1-10 you are a 10++++++++

What a glorious week of swimming, snorkeling, beach combing and enjoying the comfort of SeaGlass. April, we loved every single bite of your delicious meals. From the delicious smoothies to the desserts after dinner and every bite in between - it was all delicious! Our first trip to the BVI will not be our last! Many thanks for your incredible hospitality. Thank you for bringing such beautiful energy to us all. You made our trip light, bright, calm, peaceful and FUN! Thank you for the care and love you put into every meal, the food was spectacular both visually and delicious. It was such a treat to share in laugher, conversation and love around the beautiful set table. Thank you for your incredible hospitality, your genuine smiles and presence. You are a terrific team. We are forever grateful and will truly miss you! I´ll just repeat what so many others have said, ´You are the BEST!´ This trip has been magical. Fantastic food, April and though I´ll have pictures, I will remember so much of it right down to the Lobster Thermidor on our last evening. George, your yen for neatness knows no bounds! Always one step ahead of us in drinks and behind us cleaning up - thank you! Paul, you took us to fabulous beaches, fun snorkeling and amazing views. so much better than staying on an island (which we´ve done). Such a treat this week!

You three always took such good care of us. April: you are truly a chef extraordinaire! Each presentation was perfection and beyond delicious. George: you would appear out of nowhere and know exactly what everyone needed. Your tables are stunning and your attention to detail beyond comparison. Plus, your sense of humor kept us all amused. Paul: you remained steadfast throughout. We would ´sail´ anywhere with you in charge. Thank you for our trip of a lifetime. You three made it extraordinary - we shall never forget you. How amazing and fortunate that we got to meet and spend time with this crew! We feel beyond blessed. We enjoyed every single moment, and it was because of you (Emphasis!) The vessel (SeaGlass) was amazing, but your hospitality was the most special. (Give George praise here). April - you are an extraordinary chef, and we love seeing you sling ropes like a pro. We cannot thank you enough for the exceptional experience aboard SeaGlass. Thank you for your hospitality - going above and beyond to ensure our enjoyment. It was evident in every meal, all the flight board lessons, all the snack jars and all the smiles. Paul - thank you for making us comfortable from the moment we walked off the plane onto the tender. We appreciate you guiding us through the Islands ensuring we made it to all the sports on our list. April - thank you for one incredible meal after next. Your cheerful smile accompanying each meal was icing on the cake. You continued to amaze us breakfast, lunch and dinner. George - thank you for creating an atmosphere of comfort and luxury. From the room service to the immaculate table settings, your passion or what you do did not go unnoticed. Not to mention the hours spent teaching us how to ´fly´ on the foil. Your attention to detail and your attentiveness to everyone´s safety and pleasure was just out of this world. Thank you, Paul, I actually learned a lot from your safety talk and OfCourse, we all enjoyed your mild ribbing. April, your sunny disposition and amazing culinary skills were so appreciated by all of us. George rounds it out with a trio of fun and excellence. I loved trying to get the hang of the fille board. we loved the island excursions. We took the time to look up at the night sky and be grateful for old and new friends. We count you as our new friends and look forward to our next cruise.

We had such a wonderful time on Seaglass this past week. It was so beautiful waking up to the perfect turquoise water. Everywhere we went was more beauitful than the place before. Captain Paul was so great, always finding us the right spot in calm protected waters with the right currents for swimming and beautiful views. And we just adored April, I woke up this morning immediately missing her amazing breakfast spreads. Plus, she is the most delightful person. I´m still not sure how I´m going to get back to life without a George, I don´t remember how to make a drink myself.

Paul grew up on the coast of Cornwall in the UK where he learnt to sail dinghies when he was only 12 years old. He achieved his Commercial Yacht Master and Cruise Instructor in Gibraltar, which opened the door to this amazing lifestyle. He has sailed extensively in the UK, the Atlantic & the Mediterranean. In more recent years, has been fulfilling his dream of operating luxury Catamarans in the Caribbean & Bahamas. Paul got hooked on diving in 1995 and became a Dive Instructor in 2012. He enjoys underwater photography and would love to dive beneath the ice in the Antarctic. Growing up around the Rocky Mountains in Canada, as a youth April wanted to explore the world, and soon traveled from coastline to coastline. She lived in New Zealand for 7 years where she fell in love with the adventure of sailing. It began with her employment as a stewardess on a 72ft Swath Ocean Catamaran in 2007, and quickly grew from there. Obtaining her Commercial Yacht Master and becoming a qualified diver opened up a love, respect and appreciation for life on the water. Combined with a passion for nutritional creativity, April uses innovative techniques to bring you fresh, healthy dishes and sail you into a culinary paradise. George Filip is a Romanian who speaks fluent English and is fluent at all watersports which makes him a great first mate. Equally adept at assisting above and below deck. He helps the Captain and guests on deck and acts as chief steward below – George is especially popular at Happy Hour where he shows off his expertise as a mixologist. The main deck is impressive, having several entertainment options: dining for ten, lounge seating, and even a bar. In addition to this, there is an upper level called the flybridge. Up here, you will find many different types of areas, including cushioned seats, tables that seat ten people each, and even a separate cooking space.

Which is equipped with all necessary supplies, such as barbecue pits. The aft deck has its own swimming area, so everyone can go swimming no matter where they are standing on the boat. Keep an eye out for how deep it is before jumping off! Atop all of these features sits another wide-open area to relax called the foredeck. Complete with sun pads and plenty of other seating arrangements.

The design of SEAGLASS is lavish and modern, featuring elegantly crafted wood paneling, LED lights, and contemporary furniture. From the aft deck, the entertaining space flows seamlessly into the saloon. With a sleek bar, cozy lounge, and formal dining table. A spacious and pacey power catamaran, 74ft (22.5m) Horizon-built SEAGLASS 74 is highly-awarded and popular with charter guests for her many features and amenities. Described as “The Ultimate Cruising Yacht”, SEAGLASS boasts exceptional space equal to a much larger monohull vessel and is available for charter in the British Virgin Islands.

Designed by renowned designer, JC Espinosa, this impressive catamaran has a sleek profile and luxurious interior, which set her apart in her class.

On the main deck, there’s a massive aft deck with dining for 10, as well as lounge seating and bar. Up above, the flybridge is a superb entertaining and leisure space, with comfortable lounges, dining setting for up to 10, bar with seating for five, barbecue and dinghy stowage plus loads of room for lounges. The aft deck Hi/Lo swim platform between the vessel’s twin hulls ensures that everyone can access the water with ease.

The foredeck comprises two large sun pads and seating for enjoying the sunshine while at anchor or underway.

The decor aboard SEAGLASS is opulent and modern in style, featuring beautifully crafted timber panelling, LED lighting and contemporary furnishings. From the aft deck, the entertaining space flows seamlessly into the saloon, with its bar, lounge and formal dining table. Wraparound windows allow in natural light and views.

The ambience throughout the vessel is one of tranquillity, and guests will appreciate the warm and welcoming social spaces for all occasions.

ACCOMMODATION

The full beam master stateroom is located forward on the main deck and comprises walk-around king bed, 180 degree views, spacious ensuite, sofa, vanity and plenty of storage space. On the lower deck are the two large king VIP staterooms, each with private ensuite. The fourth guest cabin can be configured to accommodate couples or two children. Each cabin has a separate entrance, offering privacy for everyone aboard.

WATERTOYS & TENDERS

Perfectly set up for charter in the Bahamas, SEAGLASS has a 15ft RIB tender plus all the fishing gear required for deep sea angling. There is snorkelling gear, wakeboard and kneeboard, two Waverunners and SUPS, as well as beach games and inflatable tow toys.

SEAGLASS has three permanent crew and a fourth crew member to helm the Scout, 30ft tender and chase boat known as “SEAGLASS TOO”) and to lead guests in adventures fishing, diving, watersports or island-hopping tours during charter. In keeping with this sensational charter yacht, her crew go above and beyond to deliver personalised charters for her guests.

Horizon 74ft - 2017

Yacht description.

SeaGlass is a 2017 Horizon powercat – and at 74ft is HUGE! The layout is perfect for 8 people, either couples or families as the twin berths can be make into a king. The master king is on the same level as the salon and occupies the whole width of the boat with a luxurious bathroom. The remaining cabins are on the next level down and are of a good size with lots of light and space.

There are three levels to this yacht, with the top floor sky lounge probably proving to be the most popular as it offers a comfortable dining option, a day head, a barbeque as well as a great bar area – views are 360 degrees.

Our personal opinion

Why book SeaGlass – STYLE AND SPEED – Sea Glass offers a fantastic way to visit the BVI.  Onboard there is luxury and comfort in every corner.  Three crew members will pamper to your every need from gourmet food to assisting you with water sports.  The Speed part comes in when you’re changing locations – your travel time will be way faster than a most other boats – you’ll be first boat tucked into the best spot with a cocktail in your hand!

This past week has been the epitome of a true vacation with Paul, April and George taking care of navigation, all meals and keeping a drink in our hands at just the right time. All we had to do was forget about routine life back in Seattle and experience a true vacation. You were all so professional, gracious, knowledgeable and kind. Your “hospitality quotient” is a 10+!!

April, your meals were both artful and delicious and we eagerly anticipated each one. WOW! You made homemade pasta on the boat! Paul, we trusted you from the beginning and you have the rare quality of knowledge, skill and kindness. George you were always there thinking of our needs with perfect anticipation which is an exceptional quality. This week flew by and I feel so appreciative of how you three took care of us. Take good care and I truly hope our paths will cross again. P.S. Brad’s birthday music, candle and profiteroles were amazing! Thank you!

Our 7-day adventure around the BVI was so much fun. We were relaxed and had a chance to just enjoy our surroundings. Each day we had wonderful food and drinks. Foiling was very popular with our group!

Our week aboard SeaGlass was a delight from the moment we stepped onboard. Every bite was delicious – thank you April and our service was impeccable George and Captain Paul! It was our first BVI trip and it won’t be our last!

Fantastic food, April and though I’ll have pictures, I will remember so much of it right down to the Lobster Thermidor on our last evening. George, your yen for neatness knows no bounds! Always one step ahead of us in drinks and behind us cleaning up – thank you! Paul, you took us to fabulous beaches, fun snorkeling and amazing views. so much better than staying on an island (which we’ve done). Such a treat this week!

You three always took such good care of us. April: you are truly a chef extraordinaire! Each presentation was perfection and beyond delicious. George: you would appear out of nowhere and know exactly what everyone needed. Your tables are stunning and your attention to detail beyond comparison. Plus, your sense of humor kept us all amused. Paul: you remained steadfast throughout. We would “sail” anywhere with you in charge.

Thank you for our trip of a lifetime. You three made it extraordinary – we shall never forget you.

How amazing and fortunate that we got to meet and spend time with this crew! We feel beyond blessed. We enjoyed every single moment, and it was because of you (Emphasis!) The vessel (SeaGlass) was amazing, but your hospitality was the most special. (Give George praise here).

April – you are an extraordinary chef, and we love seeing you sling ropes like a pro. Girl power. sushi, pavlova bites… all so excellent. Thank you.

I loved trying to get the hang of the fille board. we loved the island excursions. We took the time to look up at the night sky and be grateful for old and new friends. We count you as our new friends and look forward to our next cruise.

Rendezvous diving

If your crewed charter yacht does not offer onboard diving then fear not, rendezvous diving can be arranged.

So what is Rendezvous diving?

A local dive company will pick you up direct from your charter yacht at a pre-determined location and take you for a one- or two-tank dive to experience the BVI below the water. This is an excellent option if only a couple of guests wish to dive or can work equally as well if all your group are interested. If your charter yacht offers minimal onboard diving, then rendezvous diving can also work if you wanted to add a few more dives during your charter.

Rendezvous diving is at additional cost, payable locally. The dive company provides all gear.

Bahamas power catamaran SEA-GLASS accommodates eight guests in 4 well-appointed cabins. Forward on the main deck is the glamorous full-beam master stateroom with a walk-around King-size bed. It has incredible 180-degree views, a spacious en-suite bathroom, a sofa, a vanity, and ample storage.

The lower decks offer two large King VIP en-suite staterooms, port, and starboard forward. The fourth guest en-suite stateroom, port aft, can be configured to accommodate a couple or 3 children. The crew cabin is in the starboard aft section of the yacht.

Captain Paul grew up on the coast of Cornwall in the UK. There he learned to sail when he was 12. He earned his Commercial Yacht-Master and Cruise Instructor in Gibraltar and has sailed extensively in the UK, the Atlantic, and the Mediterranean.

Paul has fulfilled his dream of operating luxury Catamarans in the Caribbean and Bahamas. He also became interested in scuba diving in 1995 and became a Dive Instructor in 2012. He enjoys underwater photography and would love to dive beneath the ice in the Antarctic.

Chef April grew up around the Rocky Mountains in Canada and, as a youth, wanted to explore the world. She lived in New Zealand for 7 years and fell in love with the adventure of sailing. She became a stewardess on a 72-foot Swath Ocean Catamaran in 2007 and quickly developed her skills in the yachting industry.

April is a culinary genius who knows how to work her magic in the galley. Her innovative techniques create mouthwatering, fresh, and healthy dishes that will take your taste buds on a journey to culinary paradise.

George Filip , the First Mate, is from Romania. This amazing crew member speaks fluent English and is a master of all watersports. He's always there to assist the captain and ensure the guests have an incredible time on deck. But that's not all – George also takes on the chief steward role below. He handles everything from morning room cleaning to creating incredible table settings. Oh, and Happy Hour ? That's where George truly shines! He's a mixologist extraordinaire, ready to impress you with his cocktail expertise.

Sea Glass is a spacious power catamaran that is highly awarded and popular with charter guests. This well maintained catamaran can host up to 8 guests in the British Virgin Islands, Caribbean.

Catamaran Sea Glass boasts space in all areas. There is a open plan living area with a massive aft deck. There are 4 cabins for guests to enjoy. The full beam Master cabin is located on the main deck and has beautiful 180-degree views. It has its own spacious ensuite bathroom, sofa and vanity area as well as lots of storage. On the lower deck are another two large VIP cabins and a fourth cabin which is convertible between a twin and double cabin. Each cabin is ensuite.

Prices include: All services, food and standard bar, all water sport activities, taxes and cruising licence fees.

Extra costs are: vintage wines, champagne, special requests, dockage, harbour dues, onboard communications, airport transfers and crew gratuity.

Crew Gratuity: Although discretionary, a crew gratuity of 20% of the charter fee is customary.

CYBA/MYBA terms will apply.

Payment conditions: 50% of the charter rate within 7 days of signing the charter agreement, remaining 50% plus VAT plus APA, at least 5 weeks before the beginning of the charter.

First mate/steward: George Filip George Filip is a Romanian who speaks fluent English and is fluent at all watersports which makes him a great first mate. Equally adept at assisting above and below deck. He helps the Captain and guests on deck and acts as chief steward below. George is especially popular at Happy Hour where he shows off his expertise as a mixologist.

Captain – Paul 

Paul grew up on the coast of Cornwall in the UK where he learnt to sail dinghies when he was only 12 years old. He achieved his Commercial Yacht Master and Cruise Instructor in Gibraltar, which opened the door to this amazing lifestyle. He has sailed extensively in the UK, the Atlantic & the Mediterranean. In more recent years, has been fulfilling his dream of operating luxury Catamarans in the Caribbean & Bahamas. Paul got hooked on diving in 1995 and became a Dive Instructor in 2012. He enjoys underwater photography and would love to dive beneath the ice in the Antarctic.

Chef – April

Growing up around the Rocky Mountains in Canada, as a youth April wanted to explore the world, and soon traveled from coastline to coastline. She lived in New Zealand for 7 years where she fell in love with the adventure of sailing. It began with her employment as a stewardess on a 72ft Swath Ocean Catamaran in 2007, and quickly grew from there. Obtaining her Commercial Yacht Master and becoming a qualified diver opened up a love, respect and appreciation for life on the water. Combined with a passion for nutritional creativity, April uses innovative techniques to bring you fresh, healthy dishes and sail you into a culinary paradise.

Mate – George

George Filip is a Romanian who speaks fluent English and is fluent at all watersports which makes him a great first mate. Equally adept at assisting above and below deck. He takes care of everything, from cleaning each room in the morning to incredible table settings. He helps the Captain and guests on deck and acts as chief steward below – George is especially popular at Happy Hour where he shows off his expertise as a mixologist.

The modern clean lines of Sea Glass 74, a Horizon PC74, have been skillfully created from the drawing board of renowned designer, JC Espinosa, known for his flair for designing very elegant mega yachts. Sea Glass 74 is a stunningly beautiful power catamaran with free-flowing lines, a superstructure that is pleasing to the eye and draws your attention to study her complex simplicity. The yacht’s luxurious, plush interior sets her apart. Charter guests will appreciate the main deck, with all the primary living areas on a single level, including the massive aft deck with dining for 10 and lounging for 8, a bar and ample storage lockers. The large saloon offers seating for 8, separate inside formal dining for 8, gourmet galley with island and bar with 4 stools. She was constructed by the well-known ship builder Horizon in 2017. An elegant refit was finalized in 2021. The ingenious yacht layout features 4 cozy cabins and comfortably accommodates a maximum of 8 guests.

SEAGLASS 74 is introduced primarily as a power catamaran. The the core layout is spread out from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is expansive, with a comfortable dining and seating area and that's where most of the meals are served. The immersive cabins offer designer mattrace beds and feature ensuite bathrooms. The cabins are located below the main saloon, connected by stairs (inquire about handicapped access). Multiple portholes offer desirable views, while providing privacy if needed.

The motor yacht features 2x CAT C18ACERT 1180hp 29 kW and 13.5 kW generators engines and a generator.

Waikiki friday night fireworks.

If you are in Oahu and in Waikiki on Friday, you MUST do the Glass Bottom boat tour to see the Friday night fireworks, it was an amazing place to view this spectacular event and you will not regret it at all. They are not far from Ala Moana and definitely on the TO DO List for Waikiki.

One Jersey Shore beach beckons sea glass hunters from all over. Bay Head Beach has earned a reputation as a must-visit for anyone dedicated to rounding up wave-weathered stones.

Sea glass originates from bottles, jars, and other bits of glass in the ocean.

Time and nature team up to smooth the pieces and polish them to a frosted appearance.

Sea glass hunters collect these pieces along the water’s edge, mixed in with sea grass and other ocean detritus. Some simply hold on to their finds; others turn them into jewelry or decorations.

But what makes Bay Head Beach a  hot spot for sea glass?

Beach Lust, a website dedicated to hunting for sea glass, calls Bay Head Beach a “sea glass paradise.”

Here’s some of what contributes to Bay Head Beach’s abundance of sea glass:

Wave action: The waves at Bay Head Beach tumble and smooth broken glass pieces, turning them into sea glass over time.

Past use: Historically, the area around Bay Head has had settlements and recreational activities that contributed to the presence of glass in the water, which eventually becomes sea glass.

Location, location, location: The beach’s geography, including its currents and coastal features, contributes to the accumulation and retention of sea glass along its shores.

Accessibility: Bay Head Beach is accessible and frequented by collectors, making it a popular spot for sea glass hunting.

Superstorm Sandy: The 2012 storm’s waves and strong currents helped stir up the sea floor along the Jersey Shore, redistributing old glass and other debris. Some of the freshly disturbed glass eventually washed ashore as sea glass in places like Bay Head Beach, already predisposed to collecting ocean deposits.
