If you only have a day or less to spend on the water, we have a range boats perfect for day hire,
including 16 foot half cabin run-abouts, an 18 foot fishing boat, and a 24 foot traditional Lakes boat.
Day hire operations are 8.30 am-5.00 pm

Where can we go in our day boat?
If it’s a calm, beautiful day make the most of it and take a picnic over to Barrier Landing. Spend a few hours on Ninety Mile Beach (the second longest beach on earth!) where you might see dolphins in the surf or seals, both of which are common sight.
If you enjoy fishing there are plenty of good hot spots within arms reach of our marina. We receive weekly reports from locals who share what they are catching, where and what type of bait they are using. While we are organising your day boat, we can also assist you with a fishing license, frozen bait and a range of fishing gear from our shop. We also sell ice, drinks and snacks so you’ll be all set for a day on the water.

Lakes Entrance Offshore Charters is a Commercial Boat Charter Business based in Metung on the Gippsland Lakes, near Lakes Entrance in southern Victoria.
You can depart from Metung or we can pick you up from the "Lakes Entrance skate park" off Bullock Island rd under the bridge in Lakes Entrance, otherwise from your Private Jetty by arrangement.
Lakes Entrance is the access point from the Gippsland Lakes into Bass Strait where we catch Snapper, Gummy shark, Flathead and a range of Ocean reef fish.

Our Vessel SECA a custom modified 28ft power-cat, powered by twin 300hp 4 stroke engines. SECA is an extreme vessel modified for passenger comfort and Safety. SECA and its crew will Safely take you and your friends to the best fishing locations and return in comfort.
Most groups Charter our Vessel SECA and pick the friends they would enjoy fishing with. You can choose the time you would like to leave and return. Even choose where you would like to be picked up or dropped off, maybe back to the Metung pub in time for lunch.

Whether it be ocean, lakes or rivers there are endless fishing, picnic and sightseeing locations for you to experience.
A hire boat or bring your own - just so long as you spare some time to explore the fabulous waterways of the Gippsland Lakes. In addition to self drive yachts, motor cruisers and day boats, you can hire kayaks, half cab boats or go on a tour boat to get even closer to nature; a superb experience especially when the dolphins are active.
GIPPSLAND LAKES
The Gippsland Lakes offers a whole lot of wonderful destinations to explore by boat.
Lake Tyers is also good for boating and offers excellent fishing.
There are boat ramps and public jetties throughout the region.
Check if boat parking is available or the possibility of a boat mooring, you can also contact Gippsland Ports or Riviera Nautic in Metung to rent a berth for the duration of your stay.

The service was relaxed and friendly. There were about 18 adults and three children on board and not everyone seemed to have a seat. One couple with children sat on the floor all the way back and it was all quite cramped. Several fellow travellers went to sleep; the others hunkered down and had a few drinks.
