New to charter?

The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is due at the time of the final charter payment. Under MYBA terms, this sum is usually equivalent to 30 per cent of the total charter fee, but may be up to 40 per cent in some cases.

Intended to cover the operating expenses of a charter as explained under Charter Terms, such as fuel, food, drinks, port fees and ad hoc incidentals, the APA will be given to the captain before the start of your charter. The Captain will ensure that the yacht is fully fuelled and provisioned when you step on board. While an up-to-date summary of accounts can be requested at any time during your charter, a full set of accounts will normally be submitted by your captain at the end of the cruise. If, during the charter, the expenditure exceeds the sum already paid, additional cash funds will be required at once.

All outstanding bills from the yacht charter should be settled in cash or by bank transfer before your final disembarkation. Of course, any remaining credit at the end of your charter will be reimbursed to you in full. On request, transfer arrangements to and from the yacht can be made by Burgess or by the yacht’s captain, payment for which will be deducted from your APA.

You can easily book your yacht or boat for charter online. During the booking process you determine the date and location. We will then contact you to discuss everything else with you.

For your yacht charter you must bring an official passport or photo ID and a credit card on which the deposit will be deposited. Important: DEBIT cards are not accepted.

Everyone is welcome on our yacht charters, big or small. Our boats are child-friendly and the floating Nautiboy platforms offer enough space to let off steam. Our team also ensures that suitable life jackets are on board. A legal guardian must be present for children under the age of 10. Please let us know if your child is under the age of 6 so that we can have special safety equipment on board.

During the summer months it rarely happens that the weather in Ibiza is bad. Should this be the case, we will of course rebook your charter. If a rebooking is not possible, you will receive a refund of the deposit.

The price of your charter includes the skipper/captain, as well as a minibar with drinks, towels, snorkeling equipment and the Spanish value added tax (VAT) of 21%. Fuel for 100km is included in the price for the following boats: Hailey-Su, Yara, My Choice.

In order for your booking to be confirmed, the charter must be paid in full. If you cannot start your charter and have to cancel it, the following conditions apply:

- Full Refund: If you cancel more than 1 month before your charter, you will get your full money back. - 75% refund : You cancel more than 20 days before the charter. - 50% refund : You cancel more than 14 days before the event. - No refund: the cancellation is made less than 14 days before.

If the weather is bad on the day of your yacht charter, you will get back the full amount of the deposit. This is the case when wind gusts exceed 25 knots (46km/h) or when it rains when your charter starts. Re-booking a yacht through the main agency does not entitle our customers to a refund if a charter has been cancelled . The general cancellation conditions apply here.

A regular charter day at Haller Experiences is 8 hours long. You can schedule your charter between 10:00 a.m. (earliest start) and 10:00 p.m. (latest return to port). However, the exact times vary in spring and autumn. If the 8 hours have passed too quickly, you can stay longer on board in consultation with the staff and for a fee.

Each charter boat has a mini-bar with soft drinks and beer and a bottle of wine on board. If you wish, you can order additional drinks or our delicious food boxes.

To confirm your charter you must pay the full amount. You can use PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or your credit card. If you wish, you can pay the amount by bank transfer - but please arrange this with a sales manager beforehand so that the reservation can be extended until we have received payment. Tipping for our skippers is preferably due in cash at the end of the charter.

TAGO MAGO ISLAND

Tago-Mago is a private island located about 25 minutes Jet-Ski ride away from our location in the Marina of Santa Eulalia. We visit this island on practically all our 1 and 2 hour tours. If the sea conditions allow it, we usually also make a stop for a quick swim and to visit a beautiful cave that not many people know!

Cala Boix is a precious virgin bay close to the final strech before crossing over to Tago-Mago island. At this bay the only thing you will find is a small beach bar. Depending on the sea conditions, we usually visit or pass by this bay on all our tours.

CALA SAN VICENTE

One of the most known bays on the east side of the island of Ibiza. We only visit this bay on our 2 hour Dolphin Tours as it takes about 40 minutes to get to from our location in Marina Santa Eulalia. We usually find Dolphins in this area as the fishermen throw away the fish they dont want on the way back to Cala San Vicente.

PUNTA GROSSA

Punta Grossa is one of the most beautiful places on the east side of the island of Ibiza. It’s an area full of small islands and cliffs with a beautiful light house on the rocks. It’s only possible to get to Punta Grossa by sea and we only visit this location on our 2 hour tour. We usually make a small stop here to have a quick swim during our Dolphin Tour.

Cala Nova is a beautiful bay with amazing turquoise cristal clear water located right next to “Es Canar”. At this bay there are various well known beach clubs such as “Atzaro Beach”, “Aiyanna”, etc.. At this bay you can also find the famous “Etxeko” Restaurant from the Michelin star chef Martín  Berasategui located at the 5 star “Bless Hotel”.

SON DEN SERRA

Son d’en Serra is located approximately 12 minutes Jet-Ski ride from our location in Marina Santa Eulalia. This is a beautiful unspoilt turquoise cristal clear bay surrounded by stunning cliffs. At this bay you will find the popular “Amante Beach club”. We usually visit this bay on all our tours.

Killer whale gang sinks another yacht off Gibraltar coast amid fears of summer of attacks

There’s growing concerns around an increase in orca ‘gang attacks’ on yachts and boats — with a recent vessel sinking baffling experts.

A pod of rogue killer whales have sunk yet another yacht in the Strait of Gibraltar – the fourth such incident in the past year.

The orcas relentlessly pommeled the 15-metre Alboran Cognac with two people on-board.

The ambush likely came from a notorious pod of whales led by an orca dubbed White Gladis which is thought to have been attacking seafarers for at least three years.

Passengers on-board the vessel said they felt sudden blows to the hull before it started sinking in the Moroccan waters.

They were rescued by a nearby oil tanker which dropped them to Gibraltar after receiving emergency alerts.

The yacht was left abandoned before it sank completely.

Orca attacks on boats travelling through the Strait of Gibraltar – also known as Orca Alley – were first reported in 2020.

These ambushes, which range from orcas simply approaching boats to actively interfering with them, have repeatedly occurred in the stretch of water between Spain and Morocco.

Authorities noticed a steady uptick in incidents and restricted boats from sailing from the tip of Spain due to a staggering 29 reported orca attacks in four months.

The Atlantic Orca Working Group has reported a 298 per cent rise in orca-boat interactions from 2020 to 2023, Forbes reports.

They are said to be led by White Gladis who experts fear could possibly be teaching other whales how to attack and sink boats passing through the channel.

One attack took place in November last year when a killer whale gang furiously attacked and sunk a boat near a Moroccan port.

The Polish company that was operating the boat said all attempts to rescue the yacht failed before it sunk.

The operator said the crew were “safe, unharmed, and sound” following the bizarre incident.

They said in a statement: “Despite attempts to bring the yacht to the port by the captain, crew and rescuers from the SAR (Search and Rescue), port tugs and the Moroccan Navy, the unit sunk near the entrance to the port of Tanger Med.”

Another incident took place in August when a boat full of panicked tourists was attacked by a pod of killer whales.

Footage showed the horrified holiday-makers surrounded by several orcas just off the coast of Sesimbra, Portugal.

Last year, Brit couple Janet Morris, 58, and Stephen Bidwell, 58, from Cambridge, were involved in a whale attack that lasted for an hour.

On May 2, around six orcas reportedly rammed the hull of the Bavaria 46 cruiser yacht they were travelling on, on the Strait of Gibraltar.

Janet and Stephen were stunned when they were alerted with the cry of “orcas!”

Stephen told The Telegraph : “It was an experience I will never forget.

“I kept reminding myself we had a 22-ton boat made of steel, but seeing three of them coming at once, quickly and at pace with their fins out of the water was daunting.”

Janet added: “We were sitting ducks.”

“A clearly larger matriarch was definitely around and was almost supervising,” Stephen added, furthering speculation that it was White Gladis.

The captain of the boat, Greg Blackburn, from Leeds, dropped the mainsail to make the vessel feel “as boring as possible”.

The group of whales and their gang leader eventually lost interest – after causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Why are orcas attacking boats

While researchers are unsure exactly why killer whales have been attacking boats in the strait, many theories have been put forward. Some experts suggest it could be a playful manifestation of the animals’ curiosity.

But others fear a “critical moment of agony” such as a collision may have sparked aggression towards boats. Alfredo López Fernandez, a biologist at the University of Aveiro in Portugal, told LiveScience: “That traumatised orca is the one that started this behaviour of physical contact with the boat.”

Some even speculate White Gladis may now be spurring fellow killer whales on.

Orcas are the largest members of the oceanic dolphin family.

Although they never attack humans, the apex predators can take down large groups of whales, hence the name killer.

What makes them a unique marine mammal is that they often hunt in lethal pods and family groups of up to 40 individuals – and feast on fish, dolphins, seal lions, seals, sharks and stingrays.

The carnivores can grow up to 9.7 metres long and weigh up to six tons – and are immediately recognisable by their distinctive black-and-white colouring.

A Florida man is recovering after being bitten by not one - but two sharks - after falling into the water in the Bahamas. Now, he's sharing his terrifying story of survival.

"Next second, I'm in the water with, you know, a lot of sharks. I knew immediately, I gotta get back in the boat or this is gonna be really bad," said Marlin Wakeman.

The 24-year-old was on a fishing trip in the southern Bahamas late last month when he fell into the water.

"I was still holding on to the boat when I got bit," Wakeman recalled.

Wakeman says the waters in Clarencetown's Flying Fish Marina are infested with dozens of sharks, and is known as a popular spot to clean fish and throw scraps.

"These sharks have learned that there is regular amounts of food being tossed into the ocean here from these fishermen," said Ron Magill, director of communications & wildlife expert at Zoo Miami. "When they get into that feeding frenzy, they're out there to compete against other sharks. They want to get as much food as they can as quickly as they can."

"When I was underwater it was, you know, two seconds. And mainly the worst thing I thought was, you know, I don't want to get eaten by 10 sharks," Wakeman said.

Wakeman was stitched up in the Bahamas and flew back home to Florida the next day. Doctors believe the shark was at least seven feet long and his wound is over a foot long. It just missed his artery.

"The fact that there's 20 sharks in there and you were able to get out of there and still have a leg is amazing," said Dr. Robert Borrego, a trauma surgeon at St. Mary's Medical Center.

"I realized, you know, how lucky I got," Wakeman said. "It was just, you know -- thanking my angels."

Wildlife experts say if you do end up in the water and there are sharks, obviously, try to get out as quickly as possible. But experts also say to fight. Punch the shark in the nose since it is a sensitive area and can often deter an animal.
