The Bali 5.4

Here are some key features and aspects of the Bali 5.4:

  • Open Space Concept : One of the signature features of the Bali 5.4 is its open space design. The model typically includes a solid foredeck which replaces the traditional trampolines found on other catamarans. This area provides additional living and lounging space, enhancing the boat’s useable area.
  • Salon and Galley : The Bali 5.4 features a large salon and galley area with panoramic views, thanks to large windows and an absence of bulkheads that typically separate the interior spaces. The galley is often equipped with modern appliances and ample storage, catering well to extended cruising.
  • Cockpit and Living Areas : Integrating the interior and exterior living spaces, the cockpit on the Bali 5.4 can be fully opened or closed off from the salon, thanks to a large tilting glass door system. This flexibility allows for adaptable living conditions whether in harsh weather or in more temperate climates.
  • Accommodations : The boat typically offers multiple layout options, ranging from three to six cabins, each with ample headroom and their own ensuite bathrooms. This makes it suitable for both private use and charter operations, providing privacy and comfort for all on board.
  • Performance : While the Bali 5.4 is designed with comfort in mind, it also offers respectable sailing performance. Its light construction, combined with a good sail plan, allows it to handle a wide range of conditions. It’s not as performance-oriented as some other catamaran brands but strikes a balance between comfort and speed.
  • Innovations : Additional innovations include a flush deck without bulkheads, large water and fuel tanks for extended cruising, and advanced technology integration for ease of handling and navigation.

Accommodation

The standard charter version of the Bali 5.4 sailing catamaran has 5 cabins for the guests and 2 cabins for the crew – typically 2 members – so she can sleep up to 10 guests, comfortably. There are 4 double cabins, and one cabin with twin beds, making it ideal for solos, or kids.

All cabins come with ensuite facilities and are air-conditioned.

Bali 5.4 (2023) 'Hydrotherapy'

Bali 5.4 Hydrotherapy

The Bali 5.4 is an award-winning “Multihull of the Year” catamaran. The design was new to the market in 2019 and provided a fresh approach to sailing. It is revolutionary in how space is accessed, with deliberate attention to flow and open space and it succeeds in producing a scale that feels less like a boat, and more like an upscale floating condominium.

Bali catamarans are known and appreciated for their unparalleled success in blending luxury, space, and performance; producing a sailing experience that is unparalleled. This new design further capitalizes on that reputation with the advent of the “Bali garage door” which is the centrepiece of the yacht. It allows for the aft wall of the yacht to simply disappear, opening up the back of the yacht to an unobstructed view of paradise. This also affords indoor/outdoor dining options and gives the ever-present Caribbean breeze ample opportunity to make its way through the yacht with ease.

With her solid foredeck gone are the forward trampolines, replaced by a large relaxing lounge area complete with cushions for sunbathing. A full-sized door provides access directly from the lounge area into the salon, allowing free movement through the yacht. A walk up to the flybridge unveils a seating area perfect for cocktails and taking in sunsets. There is also another area for sunbathing on the flybridge where you can take in the sights of the islands from the highest vantage point on the yacht.

The Bali open space design is further complimented by the superior outfit and aftermarket items available on Hydrotherapy. No detail has been left unnoticed from the fine linens, pillows and throws to the wine glasses, serving and flatware that make every day feel luxurious. She has been stocked full with every appliance and kitchen accessory to allow the chef to fully showcase the mastery of their art. The water toys abound, allowing guests to fully experience all the Caribbean has to offer, both in and out of the water.

Hydrotherapy will accommodate 8 charter guests in 3 spacious queen cabins and 1 sprawling master cabin for those who desire more space. She is a brand new 2023 sailing catamaran with full teak spanning the entire yacht, wine fridge, solar panels, air conditioning, water maker, ice maker, full-sized refrigerator, a fully customizable menu, Caribbean-made eco-friendly and reef-safe toiletries, a bar stocked to guest preference, coffee/espresso machine, rendezvous scuba diving, snorkelling gear, underwater scooters, wakeboard, 2 stand up paddle boards, 10 ft. floating dock, pool noodles, fishing gear, board and card games, a television in the salon, Fusion 3 Bluetooth enabled sound system and Hydrotherapy giveaways.

Have we forgotten something? Then give our Crewed Yacht Manager, Kayleigh a call. Born in the BVI to British parents who both worked in the BVI marine industry, Kayleigh’s background in the catering and marine industries means you are in exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced hands!

If you would like to charter this Bali 5.4  luxury crewed yacht, then please  contact the Horizon Yacht Charter team today.

Kirill was born in Ukraine but grew up in Israel at the age of 10. He picked up his passion for sailing after attending a maritime high school where he first learned sailing. After high school, he joined the military in Israel where he served for 3 years. Once his military service was complete he returned to sailing, as that is where his passion was.

Kirill completed the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore course in South Africa and later joined for multiple Atlantic crossings, skippering two of them himself on a 67 ft sailing catamaran. On these trips, he was able to master the celestial navigation skill of navigation by the sun and the stars, as there was an original sextant device onboard.

Kirill then began working for a flotilla charter company in Croatia, which he did for three seasons sailing all over Croatia and also in Greece and in the BVIs. In between the summer sailing seasons in Europe, Kirill also worked as a sailing instructor.

Most recently, Kirill has been working as a captain on a 62ft yacht, then progressively on a 67ft sailing catamaran, both privately owned by an Israeli family, cruising mostly in the Mediterranean, but also venturing to the Caribbean islands as well. Within the last two years, Kirill met Shahar and they have been happily working together as a couple and team aboard the privately owned vessel.

Shahar was born and raised in Israel, Texas and Brazil, growing up near the coast all her life. As the daughter of a professional windsurfer, it was a foregone conclusion that she would also fall in love with the sea. From the time she was a young child, she was constantly by the water practising water sports, surfing and scuba diving. She has a very special and close relationship with her family; she has two brothers and two sisters. She initially learned to cook from her mother and grandmother, and as a child was always helping around the kitchen.

After graduating high school she joined the IDF and served for 3 years as a commanding and coordinating officer. When she completed her service in the army she decided to combine her cooking with her sailing passion. She went to a sailing academy in the UK and did the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore course.

In these last few years, she has lived on the water working on charter and private boats. She worked for a charter company as a host and first mate in Corfu, Greece and later on in the BVI, Caribbean on 50 and 60-foot catamarans.

Her last role on the privately owned yacht 67ft sailing catamaran required her impeccable time management, as well as a high level of service and flexibility due to food constraints.

Nothing brings Shahar more joy than seeing her guests gathering around the table and enjoying her food, as well as the smiles on their faces after an amazing experience on the water.
