Inside The Luxury Yacht Paris Hilton & Fiancé Carter Reum Cruised On During Their Romantic Mediterranean Vacation

Paris Hilton is certainly living the sweet life.

The blonde beauty and fiancé Carter Reum have been making the most of their loved-up time together on their luxurious yacht in Sardinia.

Apart from sharing kisses and warm embraces, the good-looking couple was seen surfing and soaking up the sun on their spectacular watercraft. In photos obtained by Page Six , Hilton was seen slaying in a high-waisted red bikini while sporting a blue wrap around her waist and colorful, striped cover-up.

Meanwhile, Reum was spotted enjoying the high seas of Italy while donning a navy swim-shirt and pink swim trunks.

The lovebirds, both 40, got engaged after dating for about a year . The venture capitalist reportedly popped the question while the two celebrated the socialite's 40th birthday on a private island.

The handsome hunk presented his soon-to-be wife with a custom emerald-cut engagement ring , which was visibly present on Hilton's finger when she was photographed on their luxury yacht.

Hilton previously gushed over the "next chapter" of her life with Reum, reportedly telling Vogue she is "excited" to have "such a supportive partner."

The DJ added, “Our relationship is one of equals. We make each other better people. He was absolutely worth the wait!"

It looks like Hilton is wasting no time in trying to have little mini-me's running around , as she revealed in January that she has been undergoing IVF treatments. "He’s just my dream guy. … [Carter is] 100 percent [the one]," Hilton insisted on the "Trend Reporter" podcast at the time. "We talk about [planning a wedding] all the time and planning our baby’s names and all of that."

In the meantime, Hilton and Reum are enjoying some peace and quiet on their jaw-dropping yacht — without any distractions.

The exquisite vessel offers an expansive seating area with an open kitchen surrounded by windows — so Hilton and Reum can enjoy the striking views from indoors if they get tired of the sun.

The yacht has plenty of room for the two to host intimate dinner gatherings with fellow celeb couples who fled the U.S. for a peaceful retreat on the Mediterranean sea.

The contemporary design of the boat is complimented by the vibrant pillows that contrast with the dark-colored carpet and interior details.

The couple has been residing on the 80 Sunreef Power model yacht, which has been described as “taking luxury and seaworthiness to a new dimension.” The yacht boasts stainless steel port lights, teak sole decks, high bulwarks and subtle ambience lighting.

It's hard to complain while waking up to this mesmerizing view.

The inside may be beautiful, but nothing compares to the full-beam bow terrace, wet bar and flybridge featuring a spa pool.

Paris Hilton and the love of her life Carter Reum have been on a lavish yachting vacation around the U.S. Virgin Islands to ring in the new year.  

On Sunday the 39-year-old hotel heiress posted some tropical snaps of she and her 39-year-old entrepreneur beau as they lovingly embraced in St. John. 

Wearing a colorful skirt and a green headscarf for a whimsical vacation touch she wrote, 'Beautiful day in Paradise celebrating 2021 with the love of my life!'

Leaning against her boyfriend of over a year, Paris was in full vacation mode in the colorful skirt which she paired with a black body suit adorned with a bedazzled star. 

A choker around her neck and head scarf over her two blonde braids, Reum sweetly kissed her on her forehead.

A source wrote into celebrity tea-spilling account DeuxMoi on Saturday and said the pair had gotten engaged while on the St. John vacation, citing the knowledge from a friend of Reum's.

Though Hilton has yet to confirm, the direction of the relationship certainly seems to be heading that way. 

The couple only started dating last November, after knowing each other platonically for 15 years prior to the relationship turning romantic.

She recalled in September that Reum's sister invited her to Thanksgiving as she told  People , 'We just had this incredible chemistry. We had our first date and haven't spent a night apart since. It's pretty amazing.'

Lasting love: Though they had known each other for over a decade, things only turned romantic when they reconnected at Thanksgiving last year in The Hamptons

The flame of their love has continued to burn strong as she continues to gush over him on social media, even choosing to celebrate every month of their relationship as an anniversary.

On their 13-month anniversary on December 29 she posted a lengthy caption: 

'You make me feel like I’m in a Disney Fairytale. I love being your Princess! Never in my wildest dreams could I have ever dreamed up a love so perfect and special!'

'...Ever since the moment we locked eyes, I knew there was something special about you. And then when we had our electric kisses on the tennis court I saw that I was exactly right!

Previously engaged to actor Chris Zylka until they called it off in 2018, Hilton has not been shy about her doubts surrounding her love life as she said she thought she was destined to be alone after her last breakup.

As played out in her documentary This Is Paris, she and most recent ex-boyfriend Aleks Novakovic had a very tumultuous relationship which ended in a blowout fight ahead of her Tomorrowland DJ set. 

In the tell-all YouTube film she revealed she has had a string of abusive exes which very much colored her image surrounding men and her self-worth. 

Despite an uphill battle for love, it seems Reum may be her fairytale ending after all.

A tour of Paris Hilton’s never-ending honeymoon

If anyone was to enjoy a seven-week honeymoon travelling to some of the world’s most luxurious resorts – publishing every exquisite detail on Instagram – it would of course be Paris Hilton. As Hilton’s former fiancé, now husband, Carter Reum explained to the socialite atop a balcony at the Zemi Beach House resort in Anguilla, ‘no one knows travel better than you,’ to which she agreed, ‘no-one, literally…’ From Bora Bora to London the pair relaxed in elegant accommodation whilst partaking in lavish post-wedding activities. 

Conrad Nui Resort, Bora Bora

The pair began their holiday at the Conrad Nui Resort in Bora Bora – named after the hotel heiress’s great-grandfather – where the couple savoured a sea view from floating rooms. Accompanied by family, including the It girl’s brother Bannon Hilton and his wife, Tessa Gräfin von Walderdorff, the newlyweds partook in pearl diving and swam with manrays. Hilton also enjoyed luxury treatments at the resort’s private spa.

Moskito Island

During the couple’s visit to The British Virgin Islands, where they stayed at the private Moskito Island, the pair settled into married life at a breath taking estate owned by a friend theirs. Keeping us up to date with an array of images on ParisHilton.com, Hilton and Reum kissed one another from a yacht from which they toured the island.

In a similar fashion to the rest of their trip, Paris and husband Conrad chose to frequent one of the bride’s family-owned hotels in Anguilla, Zemi Beach House. Their personalised suite included framed pictures of Hilton’s infamous chihuahuas and recent wedding photos. 

The Biltmore, London  

As a child Hilton would regularly visit the South of France and Italy with her family, finishing her European travels in London, which she describes as one of her most loved cities. She hopes to one day name her first daughter after the capital. During the Christmas period, the two enjoyed rooms at The Biltmore, Mayfair from where they visited Selfridges and enjoyed afternoon tea. In a trip to Buckingham Palace, Hilton gushed ‘look, two Queens’ to her 17.6 million Instagram followers from the Palace gates. 

Waldorf Astoria, Maldives

For the New Year festivities the newlyweds have established themselves in the glamourous Waldorf Astoria in the Maldives, where they will end their extensive post-wedding celebrations.

On Thursday, Hilton shared a handful of photos of herself rocking an animal-print bikini paired with matching shoes and a headpiece. She also donned cat-eye sunglasses. 

Hilton was seen aboard a yacht for several of the snapshots, while in the others she posed on the beach.

"Birthday Girl in Paradise," Hilton captioned the Instagram post. "Thank you for all the birthday wishes! #ThatsHot #BirthdayQueen."

Hilton recently opened up to Fox News Digital about celebrating Valentine’s Day for the first time as a wife. The hotel heiress said "I do" to businessman Carter Reum in November 2021 at a private estate in Los Angeles. The star-studded wedding included celebrity guests Kardashian, Paula Abdul, Bebe Rexha, Emma Roberts and Kyle Richards, just to name a few.

Hilton told Fox News Digital she has plenty of reasons to celebrate this year. 

"Well, my birthday is three days after Valentine’s Day, and his birthday is like a week before mine," she gushed. "So we always do a joint birthday."

Paris Hilton with New Love in Ibiza on board 183ft Superyacht Galaxy

The pair were seen smooching (cute!), as well as trying out the yacht’s amazing water toys (including the jet-skis) off the coast of the beautiful island of Formentera.

On her Tumblr account she posted a photo of herself with the message to her followers “Loving & LivingTheLife in Ibiza. 🌈👸🏼🌈 #Happy #Blessed #Loved 💖 (at Formentera Island)”

Ever since the super-rich couple met at the  Cannes Film Festival  last May, they have reportedly been inseparable – despite Gross working all the way in Switzerland! Thomas owns the luxury yacht Galaxy, thanks to selling his soccer-based company back in 2012 for a cool $150 million. The yacht boasts a huge wine cellar, Nikki Beach-style cinema, Jacuzzi, gym, an original Warhol artwork and an amazing outdoor dining table which casually coverts into a helipad! Nice!

Paris of course is no stranger to the superyacht lifestyle, charging a cool $30,000 per hour for DJ gigs, and having a pretty impressive perfume empire worth a cool $2 billion has meant she is often seen living the high life in the world’s most glamorous destinations!

The pair seem pretty serious, with Paris recently posting a black and white-filtered pic of herself gazing into Thomas’s eyes with a caption recently reading ‘Soulmates’ with her 4.8 million Instragram followers. Aww!

So much for not for “really have time for a boyfriend” as you told DuJour just before meeting Thomas, huh Paris?

The luxurious superyacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms, and a features lift on board – just in case Paris is too tired to take the stairs! Available to rent, Galaxy as been rented by none other than popstar  Rihanna on a previous holiday she went on in the south of France and Beyonce when she went to St Barts.

Jimmy Fallon has officially bought an NFT, and he showed it off on national television. On Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , the host and guest Paris Hilton shared their new Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs — or rather, the physical, printed-out copies of them. Fallon’s is decked out in nautical gear, with a captain’s hat and striped shirt. Hilton’s has shaggier red fur and a black pair of shades. The segment was deeply awkward, with tepid audience reactions at best. Mostly it felt bizarre compared to Fallon’s typical fare of promoting celebrity shows and movies, or doing silly games like karaoke. Why were these celebrities talking about crypto on late-night TV?

Hilton and Fallon might seem like an odd pair to chat blockchain, but Hilton is actually really into NFTs. She’s the reason Fallon even knows what they are. “You taught me what’s up, and then I bought an ape,” Fallon said, as a kind of brag that read a little more like a mea culpa. And if you’ve taken a peek at Hilton’s social media lately, you’ll notice she’s increasingly styled herself as a crypto influencer-evangelist, as well as an early adopter of the metaverse trend (true Hilton devotees might recall that in 2021, she launched “ Paris World ” in Roblox). The Tonight Show episode capped off with Hilton announcing her own NFT collection, a collage of GIFs largely about her and her husband called “My Forever Fairytale.” Every audience member got one for free, and we can only assume they all thought it was definitely a better live-audience goodie than a flat screen TV or whatever Ellen likes to give out.

The short segment is yet another mainstream recognition of non-fungible tokens by celebrities — and not just those involved heavily in tech. So, what’s going on here?

What is an NFT?

An NFT, or non-fungible token, is just a token (sorry, that’s already in the name) that says you own a digital item. The key distinction is that it’s unique. This is what fungible means — though you’d be forgiven for thinking these NFTs are for non-mushrooms only. (Please laugh.) Ownership is tracked through the blockchain ; each NFT is a unique token on the blockchain. Think of it like a Pokémon trading card. There will be a number of copies of the same kind of card, right? But each card is technically different. These cards also have different values, depending on their rarity and popularity. (You can read more about NFTs here , as well as their impact on climate change .)

Hilton isn’t the only celebrity who’s making NFTs. Far from it. There’s Lindsay Lohan’s fursona — disliked by furries, apparently — and the perhaps less surprising “War Nymph” series from Grimes , in which winged babies wave swords. Though these examples are clearly priceless art, NFTs don’t all skyrocket in price or desirability. That said, a few specific communities have sprung up in the NFT trading world, with certain creators making a series of designs that stick with a certain theme and then command special attention, sort of like a series of popular collectibles. (Or Funko Pop.)

Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is one such collection. (Here, you may note that whether or not the digital art is good appears to have nothing to do with whether the NFT becomes popular or valuable.) The BAYC collection consists of 10,000 unique, avatar-like digital illustrations of apes, depicted from the shoulders up — each with a different expression and wearing different clothes and accessories.

These apes are everywhere, lately. People seem to be going … [long-suffering pause] apeshit for them. The brand recognition is so powerful it has landed BAYC a few significant collaborations, like a recent one with Adidas . You might have also spotted BAYC images on Twitter, as buyers have often made these digital images into their avatars. Or maybe you’ve noticed buyers getting roasted by people who joke that “stealing” one of these pieces is as easy as hitting right click/save as.

So, you’re saying I can steal Jimmy Fallon’s Bored Ape by downloading the JPEG?

Technically speaking, actually owning the NFT means just owning “a token” that corresponds to it (hmm), rather than just the JPEG, which … can be downloaded by anyone, any number of times? We’ll let you puzzle that out.

Why are celebrities buying these NFTs?

Short answer: Because they can afford them. Scarcity, speculation, and hype tend to attract a certain kind of buyer. The profile of that buyer (or the artist) can be a kind of feedback loop that makes the NFT more desirable. The resulting rises in price can be steep . Rinse, repeat.

Longer answer: Much like any hyped commodity, NFTs that are perceived as being valuable have become a kind of status symbol . A Beeple NFT sold for $69 million at Christie’s, which the auction house said puts Beeple “among the top three most valuable living artists,” according to The Verge . Beeple, whose real name is Mike Winkelmann, has some reasons to be popular. He’s got roughly 2.5 million followers across social platforms, and is famous for creating and posting new art each day — the NFT is a compilation of 5,000 days of it. And what did that lucky NFT winner get? A digital file, and also, as The Verge put it, “some vague rights to present the image.” The buyer also won the ability to tell people they have a Beeple NFT. Whoever spent that much on it is probably excited to own something made by this cool guy. Fun!

Some NFT collectors also think that these items will increase in value — a lot like priceless physical works of art. For a number of NFTs, they’ve been right, so far. Here’s an animated cube that originally listed for $500 but was last sold for $17,000 .

And here’s where things get even hairier. How do you predict which NFTs will become wildly profitable to resell? I don’t think any of us would have anticipated the popularity of Bored Ape NFTs — much less the current version of reality where a growing group of celebrities changed their social media images to ugly illustrations of primates. Deciding which to buy becomes a gamble, wherein making money requires finding someone else to sell that NFT to. It’s a “bigger fool scam,” as Dan Olson puts it, in an episode of Folding Ideas . To actually make money, you always need someone to be the “bigger fool” in the chain of buyers, Olson explains, someone willing to pay increasingly large sums. (Some have made compelling arguments that NFTs are just a tech elite’s pyramid scheme .) If you’re buying as a “collector,” it’s that price tag that plays into the item’s value as a status symbol or a “flex.”

Add in the fact that celebrities hold enough influence over popular culture to effectively impart value to NFTs — which don’t necessarily have intrinsic value — and it just feels skeezier and skeezier. With each additional Bored Ape purchase (or whichever NFT of the moment), celebrities further legitimize the brand, the idea that it’s appealing, and the notion that we should want to spend money on it. In sharing the Bored Ape, a number of celebrities are even endorsing other cryptocurrency brands , creating this shared halo of legitimacy through the purchases of wealthy, powerful people. Think about it that way, and Fallon and Hilton’s move to “share” their NFTs looks more like a naked promotion to inflate their value.

At the end of the day, this is a game for the rich; for celebrities who can part with that chunk of change as easily as I might buy a bag of chips. Though the metaphor doesn’t quite work, because the chips are real and I can actually eat them. It’s depressing to consider how easy it would be to lose a huge sum over an NFT purchase that never becomes popular enough for the money to be recouped.

So … why the apes?

Owning a Bored Ape is “cool” now. Mostly, it’s expensive! There are a total of 10,000 Bored Ape NFTs, all of which sold out in 12 hours for roughly $190 each. 10,000 different versions might sound like a lot, but it’s a small enough number to still be considered limited-edition. By the time Fallon bought his BAYC NFT, it was roughly $216,000, the LA Times reported , in a piece that also notes the value might be even greater on resale given his “hyping it up on the show.” (Though, depending on your Fallon feelings, you could also argue his interest in BAYC will eventually decrease its value.) And he’s not the only one buying. Logan Paul bought one (which tracks), as has Eminem , Steve Aoki, Steph Curry, The Chainsmokers, Shaquille O’Neal, Gwyneth Paltrow , and of course Paris Hilton, among others.

BAYC does some other stuff to keep things interesting for their lucky 10,000. They released a free-to-Bored-Ape-owners digital “serum” that turns their Bored Ape NFTs into “Mutant Ape” NFTs — essentially just modifying the art to make the primates look like ape-zombies — along with a “ Kennel Club ” line of dogs with traits based off of the original apes. Predictably, buying either of these NFT series has become bananas expensive.

BAYC also likes to refer to themselves as a kind of “social club.” They’ve hosted meetups in California and New York — apparently 5,000 members literally ate bananas together in Manhattan . There’s also a private Discord, where the NFT owners can ostensibly gather and chat, giving it a different kind of exclusivity. This isn’t unique to BAYC — a number of these high profile NFT communities have them, including one called Pudgy Penguin . We don’t know if celebrities are participating, but I personally like to think about Shaq, Eminem, Paris Hilton, and now Jimmy Fallon, all sharing primate pics in there. It’s much nicer to imagine a world where these celebs are legitimately excited about their personal apes, as opposed to just pumping them for a future possible resale on a television show with a massive audience.

Paris Hilton and her family celebrated Easter with a luxurious vacation to St. Barts.

Hilton, 43, shared glimpses of her lavish Caribbean trip with her husband, Carter Reum, and their two kids — son Phoenix, 1, and daughter London, 4 months — in several photos shared to her social media pages on Monday.

“When you’re a mom but the dollhouse is a jet and Barbie’s closet is full of onesies. #JetSetBarbie #JetSetterJunior #SlivingMom,” the “Simple Life” alum captioned a TikTok video of herself boarding a private jet with her son.

Hilton shared another video of Phoenix wrapped in a Barbie blanket while sitting in a plush lounge chair on the opulent plane where a beautiful spread of treats like chips and doughnuts were out for the taking.

The mom of two then posted several photos and videos from their Easter celebration on the island, marking her children’s first time celebrating the holiday.

“Best Easter Ever with my #CutesieCrew,” she captioned a slideshow of Instagram photos enjoying the tropical landscape with Reum, also 43, and their son.

Hilton was seen smiling with her eldest child in several snapshots as they enjoyed a stroll through nature and hunted for Easter eggs.

“Looking for the Easter Bunny with Baby P,” she captioned a video on TikTok .

In another clip, Phoenix was seen siting with a pile of mini chocolate Eater eggs he had collected.

Hilton was dressed for the occasion in a Zaimara white maxi sundress ($275) and accessorized with a big sunhat, white Chanel sunglasses and a rainbow Chanel flap bag.

She also shared snapshots from their stunning villa, where the family had views of their infinity pool overlooking the white sandy beach and crystal-clear waters.

The tranquil pool area featured a large outdoor dining table with wicker seating, umbrellas to shield from the beaming sun, a spanning pool deck perfect for tanning and fun pool floaties for the kids. Meanwhile, the beachside mansion had large windows allowing for plenty of natural sunlight.

Hilton hilariously handed Phoenix her eponymous memoir as if the tiny tot could enjoy some poolside reading.

The “Cooking with Paris” star and Reum tied the knot in 2021 and welcomed Phoenix and London via surrogate on Jan. 16, 2023 , and Nov. 11, 2023 , respectively.

The couple have yet to share any photos of their daughter after Hilton slammed trolls for bullying her son’s appearance last year.

Paris Hilton and fiance Carter Reum are living the good life together. The two are constantly making headlines with their blooming relationship, and fans can|t get enough of seeing the couple profess their love for one another.

Lovers In France

The reality star was busy yachting off the Corsican coast with the love of her life. Paris turned heads sporting a sexy outfit that included a white crop top and a vibrant long skirt. The top had a plunging neckline that displayed her cleavage and featured short sleeves, showcasing her toned arms. It also had a tie-front detail along her midriff, which helped attract more attention to her taut tummy.

Meanwhile, the lower piece boasted bright colors such as red, blue, purple, yellow, orange, royal blue, light blue, and green. Carter, on the other hand, sported a navy blue shirt with sleeves, printed white shorts, and sneakers.

The engaged couple was seen sitting next to each other on the back part of the powered vessel. They were gazing at each other, with Carter wrapping his arm around Paris’ waist. The latter was holding her handbag, which was an MCM Vintage Jacquard Monogram in blue.

The view of the coastline and the ocean were seen behind her, and it was the perfect backdrop.

“Lovers in Paradise,” Paris wrote in the caption, adding a trail of emojis.

Her eager supporters adored the latest share. After only three hours of posting, the new addition to her feed has racked up more than 89,000 likes and upward of 560 comments. Hundreds of her fans took to the comments section to shower the couple with gushing messages.

“You look so happy!!!! Best wishes, you two!!!” wrote a fan.

“Paradise indeed. You are so lucky! I wish you both the best. Please don’t ever break up,” added another Instagram user.

Enjoying The Sunshine

Two days ago, Paris posted another set of pics where she modeled her ensemble while aboard a bigger boat. Along with the update, the TV personality also shared a set of Instagram stories that gave her nearly 16 million followers a better look at the luxury vessel’s interior, as per Daily Mail .

Paris had her hair tied in a ponytail and wore a monogrammed scarf. She completed her look with a pair of blue flats.

A Grand Wedding

On August 17, the 40-year-old hotel heiress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , and shared some major info  about her upcoming wedding to the entrepreneur and venture capitalist.

According to Paris, the nuptials will take place over the course of several days, and she plans on wearing multiple wedding dresses. Yes, you read it right! After all, being a multimillionaire has its crazy perks.

Planning a wedding and a grand one at that is no easy task. The Simple Life star also revealed on the show that preparations for their big day have been “very stressful.” Although, she told everyone watching that she’s “not a bridezilla.”

The  Paris in Love star shared videos from their celebration on her TikTok , showing eldest son  Phoenix , 14 months, at an Easter egg hunt. Paris captioned the post, "Best Easter Ever!"

She also shared pics from an Easter-themed photo shoot with Phoenix. Paris wore a short fuchsia bow front dress with matching pointed pumps and fingerless gloves. She appears sitting on stairs adorned with colorful bunny, chick and duckling toys and cutouts, as well as giant, decorated eggs, while cuddling Phoenix, who is dressed in a teddy bear-printed outfit with a brown, fuzzy bear ears hood.

Paris Hilton had all of us green with envy this weekend as she set sail in style.

The Netflix star headed aboard a yacht off the coast of Corsica, France, on Saturday in a twist on her colorful style, matching a white ruffled bikini top from Melissa Odabash to a glittering rainbow skirt. Lounging cross-legged on her bed at home in Beverly Hills and wearing a turquoise hoodie, Paris Hilton appeared at ease. There were none of the affectations that have defined her public image for two decades: the flat baby voice, the tiny, shimmering outfits, the faux ditziness, the stance that everything cool was “hot.”

“I built this kind of shield around me and kind of this persona, almost to hide behind, because I’ve been through so much where I just didn’t even want to think about it anymore,” Ms. Hilton, 39, said over Zoom. Behind her stood a towering mirror illuminated by a sea of LED lights that refracted off her platinum hair like diamonds.

Before there were influencers, there was Paris Hilton: a beautiful blank slate of a person onto whom all kinds of ideas and brand sponsorships could be projected. She was the celebrity burnished, if not created, by a sex tape. She was the face of the Sidekick (and the victim of a Sidekick hack that brought more of her personal life into the public eye). She was a reality star, trying her hand at manual labor as a rich person. She recorded music, modeled, appeared at parties, made TV cameos, wrote an advice book . And she was mercilessly criticized, written off as “famous for being famous.”

Regardless of whether that characterization was fair at the time, it seems pretty hard to defend these days. Ms. Hilton spends more than 250 days of the year traveling the world as a D.J., raking in a reported $1 million per gig . She oversees more than 19 product lines, including fragrances, clothing (for humans and pets) and accessories. And so many people are now famous for being famous, she might now seem more venerable pioneer than contemptible fly-by-night.

Now, moreover, she’s ready to talk about the past. On Sept. 14, the documentary “This Is Paris” will be released on YouTube. It aims to crack the facade she created in the aughts, focusing instead on the decade that preceded her fame.

Ms. Hilton said that she gave the director, Alexandra Dean, full creative control over the project. “It was really difficult for me because I’m so used to having so much control and ‘The Simple Life,’ just having everything perfect and edited,” she said. “And with this, I had just to let go of all that control and let them use everything.”

There are moments of opulence in the film — jet-setting around the world, endless racks of gowns and stilettos and closets stacked with jewelry she’s never worn — and she’s quick to remind that she’s “never been photographed in the same thing twice.”

But at the heart of the documentary is trauma, stemming from Ms. Hilton’s years spent in boarding schools for troubled teens. The last one she attended was Provo Canyon School, a psychiatric residential treatment center in Utah, where she would spend 11 months.

“They just assumed it was like a normal boarding school because that’s the way that they portray it to parents and people who are putting their children in these places,” Ms. Hilton said of her parents, Kathy and Rick Hilton (her mother appears in the documentary). Before the making of the film, Ms. Hilton had never told her family about what happened to her.

The night she arrived at Provo, Ms. Hilton recalls in the documentary, she was taken from her bed as if she was being kidnapped. She said she and her peers were routinely given mystery pills, and when Ms. Hilton refused to take them, she would be sent to solitary confinement for sometimes 20 hours at a time without clothing. She also claims emotional, verbal and physical abuse from teachers and administrators. “It was just like living in hell,” Ms. Hilton said.

The school has noted on its website that it changed ownership in 2000, after Ms. Hilton was a student. A representative from Provo said the school does “not condone or promote any form of abuse.” They added that “any and all alleged/suspected abuse is reported to our state regulatory authorities, law enforcement and Child Protective Services immediately as required.”

In the years since, Ms. Hilton has grappled with nightmares and avoided therapy, which played a big part in her residential treatment programs. “From being at Provo and those types of schools, just the therapists in there I felt were just not good people,” she said. “I just have never, ever trusted them.”

The experience broke other forms of trust, too, Ms. Hilton said. In the documentary, she can be seen installing spyware in her house before her boyfriend stays there while she’s out of town.

“That definitely affected me in my relationships because I just didn’t know what real love was, and from being abused, you just get kind of used to it almost where you think it’s normal,” Ms. Hilton said.

Later events reinforced that belief. When a sex tape of her and her ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon was leaked online without her consent in 2003, the footage received widespread attention, and subjected Ms. Hilton to ridicule.

“To have that come out, such a private moment, and for the whole world to be watching it and laughing like it’s some sort of entertainment, was just traumatizing,” Ms. Hilton said. Still, in some ways, the exposure turbocharged her career as something other than an heiress, leading to reality show gigs and other deals; her friend and former assistant, Kim Kardashian, followed the same path to worldwide fame a few years later.

“Kim and I have been friends since we were little girls and have traveled the world together,” Ms. Hilton said. “I could not be more proud of everything she has accomplished.”

Publicly, Ms. Hilton has not always voiced support for women who have come forward with stories of abuse. But since she told the reporter Irin Carmon, in 2017, that the women who accused President Donald Trump — a family friend — of sexual misconduct were looking for “fame” and “attention,” her perspective has changed.

“I’m happy that there’s been the #MeToo movement where people have completely changed their views on that,” Ms. Hilton said. “But at the start, it was just really unfair for a woman to be treated that way because somebody exposed them.”

She learned to mask her emotions. “In every relationship I’ve always been like, ‘Oh, this is amazing. I’ve never been so happy,’” she said. “It was just something I would just say to the world, even when the worst things in the world were happening to me in my relationships. I didn’t want anyone to know because I didn’t want my brand to be affected.”

Originally scheduled to premiere at Tribeca Film Festival in April, “This Is Paris” is one of a handful of celebrity documentaries and docu-series to be released by streaming giants in recent years. Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber and the Jonas Brothers have all joined Ms. Hilton in giving an “inside look” at their lives.

Of course, depending how involved celebrities are with their documentaries, a compelling narrative can be a way to build up or defend their public image.

Susanne Daniels, YouTube’s global head of original content, said she doesn’t see these documentaries as a “defense.” “They know that their image is complex, and at some point, they’re ready to share all the complexities of why they’ve made the choices they have,” she said, of the celebrities. “I think to a certain extent it can be considered brave.”

For Ms. Daniels, every documentary YouTube takes on is “a leap of faith” that there’s going to be a “surprise or twist.” “I thought to myself, ‘OK, either this is a really good hook that these producers created because they’re really good producers, in which case maybe they could make it work, or just for real, it’s going to be incredibly compelling,” Ms. Daniels said. She was won over. “I hope the audience is, too, because I think Paris is deserving of that revelation,” she said.

Now, Ms. Hilton hopes to use her brand for good. She wants to expose institutions that administer cruel psychiatric treatment to minors, working with former students who said they had similar experiences to do so. “I’m really going to dedicate a lot of my life to helping make this happen and shutting these places down,” she said.

She’s no longer interested in playing a character, she said. “I’m happy for people to know that I am not a dumb blonde,” she said. “I’m just very good at pretending to be one.”

The same week Paris Hilton would end up being criticized for mucking about carefreely in the waters near fire-ravaged Lahaina, she also happened to post a yacht montage of herself doing various water sports, standing “thoughtfully” against the railing of the boat as her resort wear billows in the breeze, seeing some majestic dolphins swim next to the yacht (had they been orcas, they might have had the good sense to attack) and generally posing with another one of her accessories, Carter Reum. All of this would be totally “normal”/par for the course were it not for the fact that, of all the songs she could have selected, Hilton opted to soundtrack the montage to Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” (because everyone has clearly forgotten about Bananrama supremacy).  

The incongruity of it all was rounded out by the caption, “An incredible escape with my love after countless weeks of flights, performances, shoots and mommy duties. #Greece #SummerOfSliving.” Apart from the flimsy excuse of Taylor Swift’s 2019 song, “Cruel Summer,” suddenly going viral this year, Hilton hardly has a giraffe leg to stand on with regard to using this particular ditty. Not without having some major malicious intent behind it. But oh wait, we forget how inherently tone deaf and out of touch the rich can actually be. Something that feels more believable in this particular scenario than Hilton actually being sardonic enough to really know what she was doing by wielding this song to the backdrop of her luxurious yachting excursion in Greece. 

One can pretty much confirm that Hilton put zero consideration into the cutting irony of “Cruel Summer” set against her affluent jaunt when taking into account that she jetted (switching from yacht to plane for her arrival) into Maui right after the devastating fires that wiped out Lahaina. Hilton specifically settled into a resort at Wailea, just thirty miles from the disaster-struck town in question. And at a time when Hawaiians have specifically been asking people not to come. To not engage in the already divisive-among-Hawaiians tradition of tourism. Reiterating that tourism is the last thing Maui needs right now and that, no, it isn’t going to help in any way with recovery just because tourists think they’re “funneling money into the economy.” In fact, it’s been announced that not only is tourism not helpful, it’s actually a detriment. Per Āina Momona, the “lasting island-wide impact on Maui’s resources” means “the less visitors on the island taking up critical resources that have become extremely limited the better.”

Alas, people in Hilton’s echelon are only too accustomed to taking up critical resources. Not only that, but actually being primary causes of grave climate change factors that eradicate critical resources. After all, it seems well-timed for The Washington Post to release an article about how “the richest ten percent of U.S. households are responsible for forty percent of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions.” The study, published by PLOS Climate , “looked at how a household’s income generated emissions [and] underlines the stark divide between those who benefit most from fossil fuels and those who are most burdened by its effects.” Surely (whether directly or “indirectly”), Hilton must have some investments in the fossil fuel industry game. And even if she doesn’t, the carbon footprint from her yachting and jetsetting excursions ought to make up for it. 

Even before landing in Hawaii, the fact that Hilton was blithely tooling around Greece amidst the wildfires that have been raging there since July 17th (making for a genuinely cruel summer) is also telling of a general lack of concern or awareness on her part of anything beyond her bubble—unless, of course, she causes a backlash with her behavior that prompts her to “correct” it by opening her wallet and making the problem “go away.” As she did with the reactions to her Hawaiian journey. Comments like “read the room” were meant to be smoothed over with “a source” assuring that, “Maui has always held a special place in her heart. She has been gathering supplies and taking them to shelters and those who need. She already did and continues to do so.” So as long as she’s “all paid up” in that respect, she can wash her hands of any accusations of tone deafness, right? But no, Hilton remains as tone deaf as Ryanair continuing to offer flights into fire-raging Greece (including the island of Rhodes ) for the sake of its own pleasure: more profit. As for what Hilton stood to “profit” from her “Cruel Summer” in both Greece and Hawaii, each affected by profound environmental disasters, it seemed to be nothing more than to prove to her followers that she’s “sliving.” While the rest of the population is barely living. 

This is why Hilton’s behavior amounts to another forecast of how the rich versus the “normals” will react to global warming (nay, global boiling) as it keeps worsening. Indeed, one outpost noted of Hilton’s willful ignorance to the gravity of the situation in Hawaii (and Greece, for that matter), “The pictures of the happy family holiday were in stark contrast to the scenes of devastation just over half an hour’s drive away, with locals forced to flee into the sea to escape the burning flames.” Meanwhile, Hilton flees into the sea to frolic with an inflatable duck. 

What’s more, so long as Hilton can tell herself she paid even more to be there by donating money to relief efforts, it’s not going to be much sweat off her artificially-tanned back. Incidentally, days before Hilton’s appearance on the island, Honolulu-born Jason Momoa issued a warning that perhaps Hilton needed to hear when he said, “Do not convince yourself that your presence is needed on an island that is suffering this deeply.” But even if she had heard it, it’s not as though it would have made an impact on the woman who unironically soundtracks Greek yachting videos to the tune of “Cruel Summer.” Because, as Paris herself has declared, “Stars are blind.” To any reality outside of their own perfectly manicured one.

In several of the smiley snaps, Hilton holds her young son (whom she shares with husband Carter Reum), who is dressed in an adorable sweatsuit, composed of joggers and a zip-up hoodie covered in small images of brown teddy bears, along with a fuzzy brown hat with little bear ears and white Velcro sneakers.

Meanwhile, Hilton stunned in a vibrant hot-pink ensemble composed of a minidress that featured puffy short sleeves and three bows across the chest that created three peekaboo cutouts. She accented her frock with matching fingerless leather gloves, pointed-toe stiletto heels with stud-adorned straps, and a bright pink quilted purse with a matching chain handle. She had a sun-kissed glow that she accentuated with bronzy makeup, complete with shimmery eye shadow, rosy blush, and a nude-pink lip. As for hair, Hilton styled her silky golden locks down in voluminous, bouncy curls with a middle part.

The happy mom and son posed along the grand staircase in their home amongst dozens of plushies and cardboard cutouts of Easter eggs, bunnies, and hatching chicks in various shades of purple, blue, pink, and yellow. Hilton sweetly captioned the post, “Me and my little Easter bear 🥹🧸.”

Not pictured was Hilton and Reum’s four-month-old daughter London, who has yet to make her Instagram debut.

Hilton spoke to Harper’s Bazaar in January 2023 about safeguarding Phoenix’s privacy and safety. “I want to protect him and to be with him every second,” she said. “You have this mother instinct that kicks in, which I’ve never had before. I feel so complete now.” It appears she is doing the same with London, by keeping the baby girl out of the spotlight.

Paris Hilton is enjoying a special Easter with her family.

The DJ and heiress, 43, celebrated the holiday with husband Carter Reum and their 15-month-old son,  Phoenix Barron . The holiday marks Hilton's first as family of four, though daughter London Marilyn , 4 months, was not featured in the photos.

"Me and my little Easter bear 🥹🧸," Hilton wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photos of herself and her son. The mom of two also posed for a series of solo Easter-themed shots.

In the comments section, Reum, 43, praised his wife and their son, writing, "The cutest happiest boy w the best mamma ever ❤❤."

While attending Propper Daley's fourth "A Day of Unreasonable Conversation" summit in Los Angeles earlier this month, Hilton was joined by U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy on a panel titled "To Suffer Alone." During the event, Hilton said that she wants her two kids to "grow up in a world that's kind," which, for her, includes less social media.

"I just want my children just to feel just so loved and seen and want to be that next generation of someone that brings positivity to the world and just to have big hearts and big loving," Hilton said. "That's something that's really important to me."

"And also to live a world outside of social media and being on their phone all the time," she continued. "So I feel that's really taken a lot from children. Kids are not going outside anymore and playing as much because everyone's just so busy on their phones."

"So hopefully my kids won't be as addicted to social media as I am," Hilton concluded.

In October 2023, Hilton opened up to PEOPLE about the  most surprising part of motherhood .

“It's just how much love I could have for someone,” she said. “I thought I knew what love was with my husband, but as soon as I met my baby, it's just this love on another level. He has just changed my life in every way."

"Phoenix is just my world. He is the most beautiful little baby boy," Hilton added. "He's growing up so fast, but he has just made my life feel so complete."

"I just feel like the luckiest girl in the world every single day for this beautiful family that I have."

The Paris in Love star shared videos from their celebration on her TikTok, showing eldest son Phoenix , 14 months, at an Easter egg hunt. Paris captioned the post, "Best Easter Ever!"

She also shared pics from an Easter-themed photo shoot with Phoenix. Paris wore a short fuchsia bow front dress with matching pointed pumps and fingerless gloves. She appears sitting on stairs adorned with colorful bunny, chick and duckling toys and cutouts, as well as giant, decorated eggs, while cuddling Phoenix, who is dressed in a teddy bear-printed outfit with a brown, fuzzy bear ears hood.

She also shared a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot on her Instagram Stories, which shows her standing against a pink backdrop as Carter plays with their son on the floor nearby.

Many other celebs also shared pics from their Easter festivities. Gwyneth Paltrow posted a rare pic of herself on a trip to Nashville with both her kids Apple , 19, and Moses , 17, who she shares with ex-husband Chris Martin .

Victoria Beckham also shared pics of her family, celebrating Easter with bunny ear headbands on a massive yacht. She also upped the Spice Girls nostalgia when she posted a pic of herself and her daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz Beckham dancing to one of her band's hits.

United States heads back to the Olympics in the 49er

Tokyo 2020 marked the first time in history the United States did not send a full slate to the Olympic Games, after missing the final qualification opportunity in the 49er class at the 2019 Pan American Games. In Paris, the United States will be represented once again in the 49er class. 

The duo of  Andrew Mollerus and  Ian MacDiarmid , along with  Ian Barrows and  Hans Henken , officially punched their tickets by qualifying to the medal race at the 2023 Sailing World Championships.

Barrows and Henken were awarded the spot with their performance at the Olympic Trials in January. Both men will be making their Olympic debut in Paris. 

Daniela Moroz makes history

Daniela Moroz was not only the first U.S. sailor to make the Olympic team for Paris 2024, but she made history by becoming the first American to ever qualify to the Olympic Games in formula kite — a sailing event that will make its Olympic debut in Paris. 

The six-time world champion earned her spot by placing third in the Olympic test event in Marseille in July of 2023 and then finishing fifth at the world championships in the Netherlands a month later. Moroz will look to become the first American woman to win an Olympic sailing medal since 2008 when Anna Tunnicliffe Tobias won gold in the Laser Radial class. 

Ellie Aldridge eyes gold in Paris

Great Britain’s  Ellie Aldridge experienced major success in 2023, winning silver in the formula kite at the Olympic test event in July and again at the world championships a month later. Aldridge capped off her year with a gold medal at the 2023 Formula Kite European Championships, cementing herself as one to watch heading into Paris.
