I have never had worse service. We purchased our boat this fall and planned to have it transported home. The service department quoted 8 hours to winterize it when the service records said it previously took three. They were more concerned with our credit card number than doing any of the work we needed. This alone would not cause me to take time to write a review. There are greedy people everywhere. When the transport came to pick it up, the travel lift blew a hose causing hydraulic fluid to blow all over the entire boat. They didn't bother to wipe up a drop of it. No one called to let us know, although they did call to get our credit card to pay for for loading it. Our upholstery in the back and all the sea-dek is wrecked, over 20k in damages. They don't care. We are devastated. I am warning you that service department is incompetent. Do not trust your boat and investment to people who clearly do not love and respect boats. I would give no stars if possible.
This is a great marina! Conveniently located via land AND via water. Has all the amenities you need, plus it's gated. The service department has the best techs and best service manager at the lake!
The Moorings Yacht Club is a great place to park your boat (and it's family and furry pal friendly!) This club is located right around the bend from party cove and is extremely close to Grand Glaze bridge making it an ideal spot to be close to most everything (outlet malls, restaurants by boat and land, target, walmart, etc!) This is a very well up-kept establishment that also offers a gas station, a grill/ cook out station, a pool and recreation room with billiards, and bathrooms with showers for those who stay on their boats. The docks are clean and the people who use The Moorings are friendly. This is a gated establishment so you feel safe and know that those who are there actually belong to the club! Just don't forget your card to get in the gates because sometimes the staff is slow (and not at the main little office) and then you're stuck pressing the "air call" button for 20 minutes with no reply, trust me, it's not fun! Besides that, this is a great Ozark boat docking option!

8 Yacht Clubs and Marinas in the Philippines to Moor Your Boat In
FoodfindsAsia.com | 8 Yacht Clubs and Marinas in the Philippines to Moor Your Boat In | Filipinos’ history as a maritime people date back to prehistoric times. In fact, the Philippines’ basic sociopolitical unit today, the barangay, traces its etymological origins to the balangay , the ancient outrigger boats that were used by precolonial Filipino communities to explore and conquer islands this side of the Pacific. As a people belonging to a seafaring culture, it’s no wonder that modern Filipinos are taking a retrospective look at their glorious past as Austronesian mariners and are developing a renewed love for the ocean and marinas as present-day yachtsmen.
Today, Philippine marinas look to accommodate more and more yachts and other pleasure watercrafts as the years go by. In 2017, an ASEAN Briefing op-ed piece named the Philippines as a country with high potential in yacht industry growth. The natural beauty of the Philippine islands and its fantastic bays, combined with a growing interest in leisurely sea travel, can explain the spike in yachting activities throughout the country.
Are you part of the demographic that’s become enamored of the yachting lifestyle? Do you want to know where in the country you can berth your watercraft? Leading sailboat and motorboat authority Europa Yachts is happy to enter the conversation, and recommends the following locations for discovering the Philippines through yachting. Here is a short list of clubs and marinas in the country, organized by island region.
Manila Yacht Club and Marina, Manila, Metro Manila
Established in 1927, the Manila Yacht Club and Marina is one of the oldest yacht clubs in all of Asia, and is nestled in the scenic Manila Bay. It is also near other well-known landmarks in the city, such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the headquarters of the Philippine Navy, and the US Embassy. Facilities in the marina include a launching ramp and a fueling center, and the club itself is host to a restaurant and gorgeous function rooms. The Manila Yacht Club only welcomes visitors who arrive by boat, and it charges an initial security deposit of USD 750 upon arrival. Club membership is mandatory for medium and long-term mooring of boats.
Subic Bay Yacht Club, Zambales
The Subic Bay Yacht Club, which was founded in 1998, upholds itself as the country’s premier yacht club. It operates in the deepest bay in the country, and can host vessels well beyond 50 meters in length. Already benefitting from the innate beauty of the Zambales mountains surrounding it, the club hosts a number of other attractions, including its luxury accommodations, swimming pools, and its own movie theater, bowling alley, and nightclub. Those who venture outside of the club’s premises can also shop for well-priced imported goods at the Subic Freeport Zone, engage in water sports , or sign up for diving excursions.
Punta Fuego Yacht Club, Batangas
Peaceful Punta Fuego is a mecca for those who love the sport of sailing. As per its official website, the Punta Fuego Yacht Club aims to serve “a dynamic and vibrant community of boat enthusiasts and yacht owners.” This it does by playing host to a diverse population of watercrafts, from large catamarans and mono-hull yachts to small boats. Non-members of the club may use the berths for up to 3 weeks, and can refuel at the marina’s fueling station. The yacht club offers other amenities such as locker rooms, shower rooms, Internet facilities, a chart room, and a restaurant called Barracuda Bar, which serves delicious fares. Outside of the yachting crowd, Punta Fuego Yacht Club also caters to those wishing to celebrate weddings, conferences, and corporate events in their opulent quarters.
Puerto Galera Yacht Club, Oriental Mindoro
Further south, yachtsmen may moor at the Puerto Galera Yacht Club in Oriental Mindoro, an island location that’s home to tourist attractions like the Sabang Wreck dive site, lively beachfront resorts, and the Malasimbo Music Festival. Puerto Galera Yacht Club has been in operation for almost thirty years and lends services such as refueling provisions and yacht repairs from its marina. Boat owners also enjoy optimal convenience if mooring here, as they can also shop for spare parts in the nearby Batangas port.
Busuanga Yacht Club, Puerta del Sol Bay Marina, Palawan
Beautiful Palawan is a bucket-list destination for many, especially those who dream of cruising its crystalline waters. Accommodating the yachting community in this island province is the Busuanga Yacht Club, which promises secure mooring amidst breathtaking white-sand beaches. Here, each vessel will benefit from a typhoon-safe harbor, easy refueling, and direct access to transportation hubs like the New Busuanga Airport. Adjoining this marina is the Puerta del Sol Bay Resort, which offers luxurious accommodations to visitors. When not atop the deck of a boat, travelers can also explore the lagoons and freshwater lakes of Coron, go shipwreck diving, or relax in the hot springs of Maquinit.
Iloilo Sailing Club, Arevelo, Iloilo City, Iloilo
Iloilo Province is home to some of the country’s most beautiful old-world architecture, a flourishing ecotourism industry, and delectably fresh seafood cuisine. What will round off an unforgettable visit to Iloilo, however, is an excursion to the Iloilo Sailing Club on a leisure watercraft. The club accepts visitors and encourages membership in the case of medium and long-stay mooring. It also hosts a number of amenities and activities, including a dinghy storage, a beach bar and restaurant, and classes for those who want to learn about sailing. In recent months, the Iloilo Sailing Club has also been a convenient meet-up point for big maritime events, such as the Iloilo-Guimaras Paraw Regatta and the Seafarers’ Job Fair.
Cebu Yacht Club, Mactan Island, Cebu
The historic Mactan Island in Cebu was the site of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan’s arrival in the Philippines. Now known as a commercial hub that hosts a prolific furniture and musical instruments industries, Mactan is also the location of the Cebu Yacht Club, an institution that is beloved by the locals. Aside from being an ideal spot to restock on much-needed fuel and supplies, the Cebu Yacht Club is also a trusted club to commission for boat repairs. There’s a good vibe in this club for everybody, as it sports both luxury accommodations and a waterfront strip of restaurants that laid-back diners can frequent. MINDANAO
Holiday Oceanview Marina, Samal Island, Davao del Norte
The Holiday Oceanview Marina is a major attraction of Samal Island in Davao del Norte Province, one that welcomes Filipino and foreign yachtsmen alike to moor within its premises. The space is quite roomy, in fact, with 56 berths that can fit vessels up to 15 meters in length. The club also has a boat ramp that can accommodate boats up to 18 meters in length. The well-guarded and weather-safe marina is a gateway to some of Mindanao’s finest attractions, such as the Pearl Farm, Hagimit Falls, and Giant Clam Sanctuary.
There’s no better way to discover the Philippines from end to end than getting onboard a seaworthy vessel and going on a long cruise, with stops in some of the most beautiful places in the country. Find a safe harbor in any of these major clubs and marinas, and participate in the renaissance of sailing in the Philippines.

Harbor commission examines mooring use by Wickford club
The Wickford Yacht Club is appealing a decision by the head of the harbor division that would strip the club of one of its moorings.
The harbor commission heard the appeal at its May 8 meeting. According to executive director Stephen Bois, his goal this season is to do a “better job managing our mooring assets.” While the yacht club leases three moorings in Dutch Harbor, he said they sat empty for most of 2023. There are more than 100 people on the waitlist for a mooring at West Ferry.
“In our observations in the summer, I don’t recall ever seeing a Wickford Yacht Club boat on the three Wickford moorings,” he said.
Bois has since resigned from his position.
Wickford Yacht Club is one of five yacht clubs to have moorings in Dutch Harbor. Bois said they are required to provide him with a list of the boats that intend to use the moorings for the season. No list was provided last year by Wickford until December, he added.
“This is so the harbormasters would know that it’s a Wickford boat,” he said. “It’s not a pirate.”
John Hughes, representing the yacht club, however, refuted Bois’ claim about the club not using the moorings. He said there were 135 trips to Jamestown in 2023 with each of the moorings accommodating a boat 45 times.
“I think there’s some confusion about the moorings in question,” Hughes said. “We want to cooperate in any way that we can. We appreciate his concerns. … These moorings are extremely popular with our members. They are so popular that we pay the Dutch Harbor marina to provide a launch service back and forth from the island.”
Hughes said the club will do a better job in the upcoming season about tracking the club’s usage of the moorings. His club, moreover, requires boats to fly the Wickford Yacht Club burgee when they are moored to ensure they aren’t being pirated. The goal, he said, was to make changes “to make sure we are in compliance with the letter and spirit of your ordinance.”
The harbor commission continued the matter. Hughes said he will try to present evidence of his club’s usage of the moorings in 2023 to illustrate its need for them.

Software engineer goes missing from Detroit Yacht Club where he's been a member for years
DETROIT (WXYZ) — Divers with Michigan State Police searched the waters near the Detroit Yacht Club Tuesday for any sign of 63-year-old James (Jim) Kuntz who was reported missing Sunday but last seen with friends Friday evening at the club.
Kuntz, a software engineer, is an avid kayaker, and, at first, the Coast Guard reported that he was missing along with his red kayak. But Plymouth Township Police spotted that red kayak in Kuntz's home when a close family friend, Tamra Homicz, contacted them to do a welfare check.
"My husband is like his brother," said Homicz. "They're that close."
The Detroit Yacht Club is on its own island next to Belle Isle and jurisdiction falls under the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
DNR conservation officers are handling the investigation and trying to determine if Kuntz fell into the water.
Homicz said that although Kuntz is an avid kayaker, he would never jump into the water to swim. And she said Kuntz would never go far from his Apple watch that he used to help monitor his heart.
The watch and Kuntz's wallet were reportedly found on his boat. His vehicle was found in the parking lot of the yacht club.
Investigators said they are working with Michigan State Police to try to ping Kuntz's phone.
Homicz said everyone thinks the world of Kuntz because he's so kind and always so helpful. And they just want to find him.
"He deserves this," she said. "It's just one of those things. It's a mystery that we hope can be solved."
If anyone sees any sign of Kuntz near the water, they should call 911. Anyone with any other information that might assist investigators is urged to call DNR dispatch at 1-800-292-7800.

Hudson River Ice Yacht Club trophy found in New Zealand
- May 17, 2024
RHINECLIFF- A Loving Cup Trophy from 1904 was found in the North Haven Hospice Thrift Shop in Mangawhai, New Zealand, by a woman who had never heard of ice yachting nor the Hudson River Club. Debi Shwer of Auckland, New Zealand was visiting Mangawhai, when she stopped into a thrift shop there. The Sterling Cup caught her eye, and she was determined to find out more.
Contacting HRIYPT President Robert Wills through the organization’s website, she described her objective of learning more about ice yachting after seeing the inscription on the trophy.
“I was just visiting my mother in law in Mangawhai for Easter. I wish I had a better look around (the thrift shop) because I was on a time limit from my husband waiting in the car! I am honestly fascinated by how it ended up in a charity shop in Northland New Zealand,” she said.
Shwer purchased the trophy and sent it to the club where it now sits as a part of their collection. The club plans is to loan it to an appropriate institution this winter where it can be displayed.
The Trophy was awarded on March 5, 1904, to the yacht “Rainbow”, a Hyde Park Ice Yacht Club boat owned by Capt. Owen Roberts, for winning a ten-mile race for Fourth Class Boats. Future President Franklin Roosevelt’s boat “Hawk” came in second.
“Rainbow” was recorded in club books in 1903, and then again in 1910. It was built by George Buckhout, preeminent ice yacht builder, in Poughkeepsie. Subsequently, Capt. Roberts sailed the boat in 1912 out of the North Shrewsbury Ice Boat & Yacht Club in Red Bank, New Jersey, where it was outfitted with the most modern of hardware and sails, a “Marconi Rig” (the triangular sail used on most sailboats today), and renamed “Rainbow 2nd”. It then disappears from the records, until it shows up in Wisconsin.
Recently offered for sale there, it was purchased by the Lawrence Family of Newburgh, New York, who have been competitive ice yacht racers and Hudson River Ice Yacht Club members for generations, and were instrumental in the restoration of “Jack Frost,” the 1880 multiple world champion ice yacht of Archibald Rogers of Hyde Park, New York, and still sailed today by the Hudson River Ice Yacht Club.

The best yacht clubs in moscow and premium new buildings next to them.
The moorings within the Moscow Ring Road allow regular sailing even for those who, due to high employment, cannot often travel out of town
Passenger river transportation is being actively revived in Moscow. Already in June, for the first time in 17 years, the authorities promise to launch river buses. Maybe that's why the idea of owning a yacht is increasingly coming up among wealthy Muscovites, and there are more and more yachtsmen who would like to live close to the place of attraction of like-minded people. Next to the yacht clubs there are 21 projects in the primary market of Moscow. More than half of these projects are premium. The experts of the Elitnoye.ru portal, using the data of the Metrium company, decided to talk about the leading metropolitan centers of yachting and tourism, as well as about the premium-class complexes adjacent to them.
Dream Island Marina on the Nagatinsky Peninsula
Dream Island Marina is located on the Nagatinsky Peninsula, in the harbor of the Northern Landscape Park of the Dream Island entertainment center. This is the only modern yacht club (opened in 2021) in the central part of the capital's water area. Moreover, its port stands at the source of a large-scale deep-sea system of the European part of Russia, which unites the whole country. The club has two berths with a capacity of up to 40 seats. The water area is designed for boats and yachts of any size. There is a school of navigators, which teaches how to operate a small vessel. You can rent catamarans, boats and yachts. A restaurant with a grill area is open. Nearby is Dream Island Wake Park, where you can go water skiing and wake surfing.
The closest new building to Dream Island Marina is the Dream Towers residential complex (pictured). Apartments in the project cost 484.2 thousand rubles on average per sq. m. meter. The houses are planned to be put into operation in the next month.
Moscow Imperial River Yacht Club on Balchug Island
The Moscow Imperial River Yacht Club is located in the center, next to the monument to Peter the Great on Balchug Island. The founders of the yacht club restored an old building on the banks of the Moscow River. Today it hosts social events. The development of the club mainly depends on the implementation of the new quarter “Red October”, adjacent to the water. The developer of the project – Guta Development – is going to restore the berths for ships and river taxis.
Not far from the yacht club, sales are carried out in four projects: Residences Zamoskvorechye, Sky House, Golutvinsky, 10 and Vernissage. In “Residences Zamoskvorechye” “square” will cost an average of 517.1 thousand rubles, in Sky House – 401.5 thousand rubles. Both complexes have already been put into operation. In “Golutvinsky, 10” the average price per square meter. meters is 1.3 million rubles. Keys have to wait until the end of the year. In Vernissage, a “square” costs 634.2 thousand rubles. The house will be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
Berth of the Moscow City business center
The pier is located on the territory of the Moscow City business center, which and gave it a name. Charter and pleasure flights depart from the Moscow-City pier. Here you can rent cruise and pleasure yachts even for a few days.
The Oko and Neva Towers skyscrapers are being built in the business center itself. Both are ready. In the first quarter a meter will cost an average of 679.3 thousand rubles, in the second – 660.3 thousand. Also, the Onest quarter is being built nearby, where prices are higher: an average of 724.9 rubles. However, delivery is scheduled only for the second quarter of 2025.
Estate Park on Serebryany Bor Island
Manor Park is the largest yacht club on Serebryany Bor Island. The yacht port has a berth designed for 36 vessels up to 15 meters long. Rowing boat rental, boating and jet skiing, on the “banana” are available. The pier is combined with the Manor restaurant.
The nearest complexes are Capital Coast and Wellton Spa Residence. In the already finished project “Coast of the Capital” sq. meter is estimated by the developer at an average of 767.6 thousand rubles. In Wellton Spa Residence, the average “square” costs 481 thousand rubles. The project is going to go live in about a month.
Radisson Royal Moscow flotilla near Ukraine Hotel
The Radisson Royal Moscow flotilla is a transport company, and its largest berth is located on the embankment near the Ukraine Hotel. River trams, yachts and motor ships constantly start from here. You can rent the ships of the flotilla, but you won’t be able to rent a place for your own yacht on this pier.
Less than a kilometer from the base of the Radisson Royal Moscow flotilla, the Badaevsky complex is being built. You can buy an apartment here for an average of 1 million rubles per sq. meter. The project will be commissioned at the end of 2025.

Subscriber only, real estate | what’s being built there 2 ritz-carlton buildings offer luxury seekers a beach restaurant, spa, yacht club.
The location? 1380 S. Ocean Blvd. in Pompano Beach, about a mile south of East Atlantic Boulevard.
What’s planned? The Ritz-Carlton Residences will be two buildings, on both sides of State Road A1A with 205 move-in ready homes.
The Beach Tower on the east will be 31 stories with 117 beachside units and one floor of underground parking. The Marina Tower, which is 14 stories high, has 88 residences. This won’t be a hotel, and no AirBnB is permitted.
“Pompano Beach is ‘Puttin’ On The Ritz,’ ” said Mayor Rex Hardin, a reference to the 1920s Irving Berlin song. “I’ll tell you, it’s a great time for the city of Pompano Beach. To get this kind of recognition that Pompano Beach is a destination, the recognition that the city, the staff cooperate so well with the development community to attract this type of investment, it’s fantastic.
“It’s a validation of what we’ve been working on for many years.”
What will the homes cost to purchase and what are the amenities? Homes range in price from $1.256 million to $7.133 million. Marina-side units are already sold during pre-construction. The beachside building has just nine units left, said Harvey Daniels, the vice president of development sales.
Homeowners will be in the lap of luxury with access to both a private Beach Club with a beach restaurant — with the Ritz menu that is typically seasonal — and towel service and wait service to be served a drink or lunch (or both) on the beach.
“It’s only open to residents and guests,” Daniels said.
There is also a private Yacht Club, with 13 slips, which are all already sold. There will be a bar area for a cocktail at sunset on the marina, and a pickup and dropoff dock “if someone has friends with boats you can get picked up and dropped off,” Daniels said.
There also will be a spa, two pools facing the ocean, a gym, business center, dog park, bocci court, paddleball or pickleball court, 24-hour valet, and a doorman.
“This is a hot commodity,” said Ron Choron, the vice president of construction for Fortune Development & Construction, one of the project developers. “Ritz is the best. It’s where I try to stay when I go out of town. The service is always the same.”
The interior design for the residences is crafted by Piero Lissoni, an Italian designer.
The homes will range from one to four bedrooms, which are the penthouses. Homeowners have a choice of flooring, doors, baseboards, cabinets and vanities.
What’s being replaced? The property on the east side of State Road A1A was previously a 3-story, 96-room motel called Paradise Beach Resort that sustained hurricane damage and was eventually demolished in 2009. The west side parcel was tennis courts, which were demolished about a decade ago, according to Sandra King, city spokeswoman.
Other than in Pompano Beach, where is the nearest Ritz to purchase? The Ritz-Carlton Residences Sunny Isles Beach is an oceanfront 52-story, 212-unit, luxury building located at 15701 Collins Ave. in Miami-Dade County that opened in 2020. It boasts a private elevator lobby for each residence and kitchens designed with Italian cabinetry and stone countertops.
There are two-, three- and four-bedroom ocean-view residences for sale as resales in the building. No new units are left.
Kelly Charles, a Realtor with “The Luxury Team” at Compass, who has sold in both Sunny Isles Beach and Pompano Beach, said many of her buyers are from the northeast who are “planning for future retirement or second homes.” Those well-to-do clients are getting “all the amenities they could possible want” that come with “Ritz-trained staff.”
“There’s nothing else to compare to in Pompano,” Charles said. “People feel comfortable with the brand they already know.”
How long will Pompano Beach construction take? The residences are scheduled to open in September 2026. Both the east and west buildings are expected to open at the same time.
What is the project anticipated cost? Construction costs are $350 million, Choron said.
