Watermelon Yacht Charter Company provides three hour sunset cruises on Lake Pontchartrain. Guests will experience the luxury sailing yacht A Next Slice. Breathtaking views and fabulous accomodations let you escape life on land. Participate in the sailing and or just relax and enjoy. Pricing starts at $400 for 2 people on a 3 hour cruise. Just add $100 for additional guests (up to 6 total) and $150 for additional hours.

We were so lucky to find Doug and Rena! We never rent a car while in New Orleans and being picked up right at our hotel was a huge plus. The boat is beautifully outfitted and we felt like royalty the moment we boarded. Rena was a tremendous host. We were well cared for from start to finish, right down to the cold facial towels which were wonderful in a hot day. Captain Doug is so down to earth and knowledgeable about the history of the Lake and the area. He picked us up from the designated area and drove us to the Lakefront docking area. He was talking to us and making us feel welcome already before we got to their beautiful Roux Stir. His sailing skills and style is so relaxing and amazing. Rena! Rena! What a beautiful amazing lady who took care of us on board serving us drinks, snacks and of course her homemade delicious ginger cookies and caprese skewers were awesome. Sailing on Lake Pontchartrain with 52ft Shannon Sailing Yacht!

Experience relaxed Sailing aboard a beautiful large (52') sailboat on Lake Pontchartrain with a Coast Guard licensed Captain. We are located on the Tchefuncte River, about an hour drive from New Orleans on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Day and or Sunset sails on the lake or River cruises on the lovely Tchefuncte River are available. $330 for a 3 hour cruise, with up to six guests. (longer cruises also available) The boat has a large sun protected cockpit, comfortable cushioned seating and plenty of room for sunbathing. Also an electric toilet facility and coolers/refrigeration is available, along with a Bluetooth enabled sound system. Water, soft drinks and light snacks are provided. We are located on the Tchefuncte River in Marina Del Ray in Madisonville Louisiana, about a 15 minute boat trip from the entrance to the Lake. Your trip will be hosted by Captain Jim - 30+ years of sailing experience. Relax and sun on cushioned chairs at the bow or enjoy the shade and shelter of our covered cockpit. The fabulous wood paneled cabin is also available to you for food preparation or as an alternate spot to kick back and enjoy the big yacht ambiance. Your charter will start at Marina Del Ray in Madisonville, proceed down the Tchefuncte River and enter Lake Pontchartrain by the historic Madisonville light house.
