“I wanted this boat to be timeless, elegant, pure, thine, classic, contemporary with a large amount of outdoor space to be immersive with the surrounding landscape,” designer Joseph Dirand said in a statement. “This is exactly what I see when I look at it today—the black hull is really spectacular and looks completely monolithic.”

With a lengthy beam of 55 feet, Livao offers a generous interior with cabins for 12 guests and 33 crew. It’s chock full of amenities, too. The Neptune Lounge, for instance, features a massive underwater window that provides breathtaking views of the world below sea level. The crow’s nest at the foot of the mast offers more vistas still. In addition, the main deck sports a 40-foot marble-clad pool that can be elevated to the upper deck when not in use. Other highlights include a helipad on the sky deck and a luxe alfresco lounge on the sundeck.

To top it off, Livao can accommodate a full arsenal of vessels: The lower deck garage can hold a 52-foot day boat, while the larger main deck garage offers room for three tenders, a seven-person Triton sub, and other water toys.

The luxury motor yacht LIVA, previously named PHALAROPE, was built by Maiora and delivered to her owner in 2006, she later underwent a refit in 2022.

The guest cabins comprise a primary suite with a double bed and a pullman bed , 2 cabins with a double bed and 2 cabins with a twin bed .

The crew will ensure you have a relaxed and enjoyable charter experience with all of your needs catered for while on board.

German shipyard abeking & rasmussen launched its largest superyacht to date, with a length of 118.20 meters. joseph dirand designed the interior and the exterior design..

LIVA is powered by a diesel-electric propulsion with four VOITH thrusters. The two Caterpillar main generators have a power of 2240 kW. Furthermore, there are three 599 kW auxiliary generators – by Caterpillar as well.

“I wanted this boat to be timeless, elegant, pure, thine, classic, contemporary with a large amount of outdoor space to be immersive with the surround landscape. This is exactly what I see when I look at it today – the black hull is really spectacular and looks completely monolithic”, Joseph Dirand commented when he saw MY LIVAO emerging from the shed for the first time. “I have been obsessed by this project during all those years and it is the opportunity of my life to design a boat like this. I am happy today that everyone is realizing why all those details were so important to get to this result. It is my turn to thank the shipyard for being such a great partner in the realization of this dream.”

LIVA welcomes a 16m day tender in a lower deck garage. According to Abeking & Rasmussen, that was one of the construction challenges. Another tender garage is on the main deck forward. There is space for three boats, a seven-person Triton submarine, diverse water toys, bicycles, and diving equipment.

For LIVA , aka Project 6507, Abeking & Rasmussen used a new laser welding method . The Photon AG from Berlin developed it together with A&R to get smoother surfaces with fewer reworks.

The design of the exterior and interior was entrusted to the incredibly passionate experts at Joseph Dirand Architecture in Paris – with their precise imagination they created a true icon. It was a huge challenge for the shipyard to implement all technical necessities to be as invisible as possible in order to strictly follow the challenging aesthetic design intent.

“I wanted this boat to be timeless, elegant, pure, thine, classic, contemporary with a large amount of outdoor space to be immersive with the surround landscape. This is exactly what I see when I look at it today – the black hull is really spectacular and looks completely monolithic”, Joseph Dirand commented when he saw MY LIVA emerging from the shed for the first time. “I have been obsessed by this project during all those years and it is the opportunity of my life to design a boat like this. I am happy today that everyone is realizing why all those details were so important to get to this result. It is my turn to thank the shipyard for being such a great partner in the realization of this dream.”

The yacht employs a sophisticated diesel-electric propulsion system designed for exceptionally quiet operation during navigation and maneuvering. This innovative approach incorporates two 2200 kW electric propulsion motors, expertly manufactured by RAMME Electric Machines GmbH and supplied by SER Schiffselektronik Rostock GmbH. To ensure a steady supply of electrical power, the vessel is equipped with two 2240 kW Caterpillar main generators and three 599 kW Caterpillar auxiliary generators, supplied by Zeppelin Power Systems.

To further enhance its propulsion capabilities and onboard comfort, the yacht features an array of advanced components. Four VOITH thrusters lend their power to the yacht’s maneuverability. Four stabilizer fins from SKF play a pivotal role in comfortable experience for passengers and crew alike. This comprehensive blend of cutting-edge technology culminates in a propulsion and comfort system that ensures efficiency, silence, and seamless operation.

The project presented its fair share of challenges, and the most notable was the construction of a tender garage on the Lower Deck fitting a 16-meter day tender. The second tender garage on Main Deck forward accommodates not only three splendid boats, but also a Triton Submersible for up to seven guests and a variety of water toys, bicycles and dive equipment enhancing the yacht’s recreational offerings.

The exterior design, thoughtfully crafted to maintain the vessel’s elegant black silhouette, boasts a unique approach. Instead of traditional anchor pockets, the yacht incorporates underwater anchors on the keel. This ingenious design not only adds to the vessel’s allure but also enhances its efficiency and maneuverability.

Further standout features include a Neptune Lounge offering an unparalleled underwater view through a massive 3.40m x 1.30m underwater window. Guests can marvel at the breathtaking world below sea level while enjoying the luxurious comfort of the lounge. Another dedicated haven for relaxation on main deck is the mobile 12 x 4 meter pool, its floor capable of being elevated to the upper level and adorned with liquid marble, creating an illusion reminiscent of the sea’s surface when raised, while the pool walls and surroundings are also luxuriously enveloped in marble.

The crow’s nest, positioned at the foot of the mast, promises an exceptional observation experience, giving the Owner and his family a privileged vantage point to soak in the surrounding beauty. Also, an exquisitely arranged large marble-clad fireplace complemented by a generous round sofa on the forward sundeck offers a warm and inviting ambiance for relaxation and social gatherings. Furthermore, the yacht features a fully certified helicopter pad on the sky deck, catering to the Owner’s discerning taste and providing easy access to remote locations.

Much anticipated mega yacht LIVA has been delivered to her owners and christened with her new name. She is the flagship 118.0m (387’2″) yacht from Abeking & Rasmussen , is their largest build yet, and was previously known as Project Celerius.

118m Abeking & Rasmussen flagship Liva O delivered

The new 118.2-metre Abeking & Rasmussen  flagship has been delivered to her owners and christened Liva O . Formerly known as Project Celerius, the eagerly-awaited yacht is the German yard's largest built to date and includes a variety of impressive design features, including a Neptune lounge with a 3.4-metre by 1.3-metre semi-submerged window.

The yacht's interior and exterior design comes from French architect Joseph Dirand, whose yachting portfolio includes the first 26-metre Otam 85 GTS Cara Montana .  Dirand said he wanted Liva to be "pure" and "contemporary" with "a large amount of outdoor space to be immersive with the surrounding landscape". He continued: "This is exactly what I see when I look at it today - the black hull is really spectacular and looks completely monolithic."

Other highlights of the new Abeking & Rasmussen flagship include a 12-metre aft deck swimming pool which has a raisable floor that can be covered by a sheet of liquid marble that mimics the sea's surface.

Liva O is also home to a crow's nest at the foot of the mast and a marble-clad firepit in front of a crescent sofa forward on the sundeck. A helipad can be found aft and she has two tender garages, one of which fits a 16-metre tender and was described as a "challenge" to implement by the yard. There is a second tender garage on the main deck forward that accommodates three boats, a fleet of toys and a Triton submersible for seven passengers.

Particular care has been given to the exterior of the yacht, which has been developed in collaboration with Berlin-based company Photon. The shell plates have been laser welded and her anchors are found beneath the waterline to ensure a clean, unbroken silhouette.

The yacht is fitted with a diesel-electric propulsion system designed for "exceptionally quiet" operation during navigation and maneuvering.  She can cruise at a top speed of 18 knots and has a range of 7,100 nautical miles at 15 knots. Accommodation is for 12 guests and 33 crew.

Matthias Hellmann, CEO of Abeking & Rasmussen called the delivery a "defining" moment for the shipyard. "I can confidently say: we have once again succeeded in building an exceptional yacht. By upholding our values of innovation, quality, and client satisfaction, we have created a yacht that sets new industry standards and delights our discerning clientele," he said.

The delivery comes after the yacht hit the water for the first time in mid-December and had her masts stepped shortly after. The keel of the yacht was laid in August 2019. Cornelsen & Partner has acted as the client's representative throughout the construction process.

Liva O supersedes the 98.4-metre former flagship  Aviva , which was delivered by the shipyard in 2017, by almost 20 metres. Liva O is now the 33rd- longest yacht in the world.

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, she has impressive speed and great efficiency thanks to her planing hull. Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 22 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 31 knots with a range of up to 1,500 nautical miles from her 30,000 litre fuel tanks at 18 knots.

When not cruising Pareaki II has onboard an incredible selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to connect with the waters around you. Principle among these are two waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If that isn't enough Pareaki II also features paddleboards and snorkelling equipment. Pareaki II features two tenders, but leading the pack is a 4.7m/15'5" Zodiac RIB to transport you in style.
