DAVIDO SHUTS DOWN NAIROBI IN STYLE

Celebrated Nigerian sensation and award winning star Davido shut down Nairobi  last Saturday at the 30 Billion Concert at Uhuru Gardens.  Backed by his band Davido wowed the crowd with his energetic performance on the stage for more than 3 hours belting hit after hit from – Dami Duro, Ekuro, Fall, If, FIA , Assurance among others.

The revelers who trooped in from as early as 6pm were treated to an unforgettable night of music and dance  from  Kenya’s superstars  P-Unit and Kansoul who wowed the audience with blast from the past and their latest hits. On  the decks were  DJ Ace King and DJ Seme.

Davido who celebrated his 26th birthday on Friday with his friends and family jetted into the country on Saturday evening ahead of the concert accompanied by his girlfriend Chioma aka Assurance, his manager and his band members. He surprised his fans by bringing the love of his life Chioma on Stage as he performed his popular hit Assurance.  The 30 billion hit maker also declared his love for Nairobi and his fans who came out in large numbers to have fun and dance to his music.

The duo of Amina and Jalango, the MCs of the night kept the revelers entertained throughout the evening until the wee hours of the morning.

30 Billion World Tour Concert

B.E.T Award winner and Nigerian superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is set to thrill Kenyans at the 30 Billion World Tour Concert in Kenya at Uhuru Gardens on November 24.

Davido’s 30 Billion World Tour is coined after his 2017 hit single “If”, that had the catchy phrase ’30 billion for your account’. The song received massive airplay and rave reviews across the globe which led to it going platinum.

The concert at Uhuru Gardens will mark the spectacular final leg of the World Tour which has seen the award winning artiste tour more than 30 countries.

Speaking about the concert, KCARL Entertainment Events Manager Tunde Daniel said, “Having one of Africa’s bestselling artists come to Kenya goes a long way to prove that Nairobi is the ultimate party destination in East Africa and entertainment hub of the region, Inviting Davido to perform  the 30 Billion Concert here fits both the profile of an artist of his caliber and the respect attached to Nairobi city. This concert is definitely one for the books,” he added.

Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) group has collaborated with Kenya’s premier entertainment solutions company KCARL Entertainment on the standard arrangements for the event. These include venue and ticket sales ahead of the arrival of the prolific songwriter. The Nigerian superstar is also scheduled for a meet and greet party with his fans before hitting the stage at the show ground.

Also set to perform at the concert are Kenya heavyweights The Kansoul and P-Unit alongside celebrated top DJs:  DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Protege, DJ Ace King and DJ Seme who will be bringing the house down from 5pm till dawn. MC’s for the night will be the multi-talented duo of  Amina and Jalango and will be tasked with making sure the crowd is lit throughout the night.

Regular tickets are going for Ksh3, 000 advance and Ksh3, 500 at the gate, while  the VIP section is Ksh10,000 and includes 4 voucher for Drinks. The VVIP section will go Kshs25, 000 and will include an open bar, where concert goers will get to enjoy limitless drinks.  Tickets are available on ticketsasa.com and there will also be flash ticket sales for groups and individuals on the 16th November.

Davido 30 Billion Concert has been sponsored by Koroga Festival and Radio Africa Group as the official media partner through Kiss 100, Classic FM, Capital, Radio Jambo, and Star Newspaper, Songa by Safaricom, other partners include Coca Cola, Schweppes and Taxify. Davido’s performance is set to be the party starter for Koroga festival fans who have been promised an out of the norm experience.

B.E.T Award winner David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is set to bring his 30 Billion World Tour to Kenya with a concert at Uhuru Gardens on November 24.

Davido’s World Tour is named after his 2017 hit single “If”, whose combination of humour and pleading, with the promise of ’30 billion for your account’, led to the record going platinum.

The concert at Uhuru Gardens will be the spectacular final leg of the World Tour.

Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) group has collaborated with Kenya’s premier entertainment solutions company KCARL Entertainment on the standard arrangements for the event. These include venue and ticket sales ahead of the arrival of the prolific songwriter.

 

Speaking at the press briefing, KCARL Entertainment Operations Director Wangui Nderitu said having one of Africa’s bestselling artists come to Kenya goes to prove the fact that Nairobi is the ultimate party destination in East Africa.

“Nairobi is the entertainment hub of the region. Inviting Davido to perform the 30 Billion Concert here fits both the profile of an artist of his caliber and the respect attached to Nairobi city. This concert is definitely one for the books,” she added.

Davido is scheduled to speak to his fans at an exclusive meet-and-greet party before hitting the stage at the show ground.

Also scheduled to perform at the concert are The Kansoul and P-Unit along with a range of top DJs:  DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Protoge, DJ Ace King and DJ Seme who will be enthralling the crowd from 5pm till dawn. Amina and Jalango will be the Mcees for the night making sure the crowd is lit throughout the night.
