Of course, the waters surrounding Aruba and the wonderful beaches are the main reason for visiting Aruba. However many other opportunities exist on the island itself.

The island is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and it's citizens are Dutch Citizens. The whole island has elements of the Dutch culture giving it a different vibe to that of most of the other islands of the Caribbean. The capital Oranjestad itself has masses to see and experience.

Oranjestad is both the capital city, and the largest city of Aruba. The population is around 35,000.

The City is also the center of nightlife in the country, with Casinos, Top restaurants, Cabaret and Dancing. The shopping consists of a mixture of upscale stores and street vendors.

Oranjestad has a variety of shopping facilities. Places to visit include Fort Zoutman, the oldest structure on the island, and St Anne's Cathedral.

Fort Zoutman

Fort Zoutman was built in 1776 by the Dutch army who designed it as a fortification. It was completed in 1798 and was armed with four cannons. In those days it was on the shoreline, but the surrounding area was commercialized. In 1859 it was converted into a prison and many gun emplacements were removed to make way for cells. The current walls were built as late as 1936.

William III Tower

This was added to the fort in 1866 as a lighthouse and bell tower., The fort and tower were renovated and in 1983 reopened as the Historical Museum of Aruba.

If you want to get away from the coastline for a while and head inland you will find excursions from Oranjestad to visit Hooiberg, which is a mountain located at the center of the island. The mountain is 541 foot high and on a clear day you can see as far as Venezuela.

During this boat trip y ou ca n undertake various activities on the water such as natural chilling and sunbathing on the boat: snorkeling, swimming.

There are not a lot of really luxury, private, charter boats in Aruba.

Eden Luca is probably the best. She has been entirely refitted by her owner over a year in 2021/2022. She is now ready to accommodate you, your partner, your friends or family for a unique experience.

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, she has impressive speed and great efficiency thanks to her planing hull. Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 18 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 26 knots with a range of up to 1,250 nautical miles from her 14,450 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. An advanced stabilisation system on board reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht and promises guests exceptional comfort levels at anchor or when underway.

Set against the backdrop of your chosen cruising ground, you and your guests can enjoy fun on the water with the collection of water toys and accessories aboard Aruba. Principle among these are waterslides for guests of all ages to enjoy. Take to the sea on the Jet Skis offering you power and control on the water. Additionally, there are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If that isn't enough Aruba also features a seabob and wakeboards. After enjoying snorkeling at two locations, we begin our leisurely sunset cruise along the beautiful coastline of Aruba.  If you are not interested in snorkeling, then sit back, relax, and enjoy the views of Aruba’s exquisite white sandy beaches such as Eagle Beach (world’s top 10 beaches) and Palm Beach. Take in the picturesque views of the California Lighthouse and the million-dollar mansions along the coast of Boca Catalina and Arashi. Relax and set your worries free as you watch the stunning sun descend into the Caribbean Sea.

We had an AMAZING time. This boat is even more beautiful than the photos show. We had insulated cups for our drinks which was such a great touch. We relaxed, snorkeled a bit and were waited on with the best service. The crew was diligent with refilling our drinks and asking what we needed. They were lovely and we would highly recommend!

We had the best time celebrating my birthday with Colin and his AMAZING wife! They made everything absolutely perfect and he made every detail matter. They went above and beyond for everyone on the trip! He accommodated every food allergy and intolerance. We will be coming back!

Colin was great! His yacht was clean and had air conditioning inside as well. It was a smooth ride where we were able to play all of our music. He was very hospitable and anything we needed he offered. I would definitely book with him again on a vacation back to Aruba!

I recently had the pleasure of chartering a boat in Aruba with Captain Germaine and first mate Alex, and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, they provided top-notch service, ensuring our safety and enjoyment throughout the trip. The snorkeling spots they took us to were stunning, with an abundance of marine life to explore. Captain Germaine's knowledge of the area and Alex's attention to detail made for a seamless and enjoyable excursion. I highly recommend booking with them for an amazing adventure on the water.

Our family had a great trip! It was our first time doing a yacht with just us and we’ll definitely be doing it again. It was cool having a lot of space and checking out Aruba in style.

We had an absolute blast with Colin on the water! His yacht was the perfect size to host our group of 10. We were celebrating a birthday + bachelorette and Colin welcomed us with a birthday cake, snacks, balloons, the cutest wine glasses - it was the perfect touch and we love him for going above and beyond to make the day special! He also prepared a delicious lunch on board and it was definitely one of the event meals we had during our stay. When I come back to Aruba I will definitely rebook with Colin!
