company History

Italian shipyard Maiora was founded in the early 70s and gained a reputation as one of the pioneers in the manufacture of vessels from innovative then fiberglass. In 1985, longstanding partners Maiora — Fipa Italiana Yachts owners wife Francesco Guidetti and peace Santuchchi decided to buy a yard and grow from a supplier of hulls to other shipyards in the full shipbuilder. Thanks to major investments and new technologies the brand Maiora in the composition of the Fipa Group has experienced a rebirth. Owners of the company did not stop there and from year to year colleagues to its clear development strategy and volume of financial investments. Followed by a number of bold steps. Was acquired by the famous shipyard Intermare with a large Marina in the city of Viareggio — so the company was able to increase the size range of produced vessels, as well as to carry out a full cycle after-sales service of boats, including storing them in dry docks. Sale >AB Yachts in 2001 highlighted the company's attention to high-speed open boats with jet engines thrust. So the database was created for of the world's top shipyards. The stocks began to go truly memorable yachts. The acquisition in 2005 CBI Navi has enriched its lineup of metal displacement by the courts. And in the same year appeared the first superyacht to be 43-meter Lighea Maiora of steel and aluminum.

Yachts Maiora, depending on their sizes, are manufactured in two factories in the province of Tuscany . In Viareggio produced a relatively small body (length up to 26 meters) and a factory in the city of Weight responsible for the construction of fiberglass yachts over 30 meters in length and two new steel models Maiora length 38 and 43 meters. The main material is popular now GRP — fiberglass reinforced plastic. The design and construction are carried out with a sufficiently high degree of customization.

The 1999 Maiora 72 Flybridge is a luxury motor yacht that was built in Italy by the renowned yacht builder, Fipa Italiana Yachts. It is a spacious and stylish vessel, with a classic design that exudes elegance and sophistication.

The yacht measures 22 meters (72 feet) in length and has a beam (width) of 5.6 meters (18.3 feet). It can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 cabins, each with its own ensuite bathroom. The cabins are located below deck, and they offer ample storage space and comfortable sleeping arrangements.

Meet the Maiora Exuma

Next Yacht Group, the parent company of AB Yachts and Maiora , has announced the launch of the 115-foot Maiora Exuma.

The yacht comes in at 300 gross tons with a reported top speed of 35 knots. The design includes a straight bow, open stern and water-jet propulsion. Power is a trio of 2,000 hp MTU engines. Owners also can opt for a triple 2,600 hp configuration that the builder says juices the top-end speed to nearly 40 knots.

Draft is about 4 feet, allowing for skinny-water cruising in the Bahamas . Additional features include meta-panels and resonators for soundproofing, an automated trim-control system and two gyrostabilizers.

There are two garages on board, with the side garage sized for a Williams Dieseljet 625 and the aft garage suited for an 11-footer along with watertoys.

Also notable is the upper-deck lounge, which is a 506-square-foot, enclosed space. It can convert to an open-air space by opening a door, sliding open the moonroof and lowering the side glazing. The builder calls this setup an “on-demand flybridge.”

How many guests can sleep on board? The Maiora 35 Exuma can accommodate 10 or 11 guests in five staterooms, including a full-beam master forward on the main deck. There also are quarters for five or six crew.

Every vessel produced by Maiora is unique. Each yacht is one of a kind because every owner is one of a kind. Maiora offers customisation of every single detail and limitless configuration.

The flybridge is home to a climate-controlled sky-lounge that can be transformed into an open area thanks to an "infinity" full opening, sliding door, lowerable windows, and a retractable moonroof.

Maiora offers the possibility to choose the blend of interior and exterior spaces. As well as a long or short stern area connected to the sea by a wide infinity staircase or a dedicated beach area. The layout of each Maiora vessel can also be configured to suit individual needs.

It is possible to choose between a fully equipped beach area at sea level or a stern enclosed by a wide infinity staircase, which gives access to a garage for custom management of toys when opened.

Motorisation

Truly thrilling sportiness in terms of propulsion. The Exuma line’s waterjets offer unique performance including a maximum speed of 32/35 knots (choice of two engines: 3x2000hp or 3x2600hp), a low draft (1.38 m) which allows shallow anchoring near the beach, and extreme manoeuvrability.

A three-waterjet propulsion system which reaches 35 knots in total comfort and without any vibration. Extreme manoeuvrability and a draft of approximately 1.38m for exploring the magnificent beaches and waters of Cat Island, Abacos, Paradise Island and, Exumas of course! Two important events saw the Mangusta Maxi Open by the prominent Italian builder Overmarine again protagonist on the nautical scene: Marine Max exclusive partner for the United States attended the Palm Beach Boat Show , running from March 22 to 25 with the spectacular motor yacht Mangusta 92 and the Mangusta 130 superyacht on display. Burevestnik Group, on the other hand, was the star of the Moscow International Boat Show , taking place from March 20 to 25 exhibiting the scale models of the luxury yacht Mangusta Oceano 148, the superyacht Mangusta 92, the Mangusta 165 as well as Mangusta 130 yachts.

Luxury rules at the moscow yacht show.

The windy Russian autumn weather might be a little bit tricky for sailing, but it doesn’t stop brave yachtsmen from all over the world from flocking to Russian capital in the beginning of September when the Moscow Yacht Show commences. The main Russian Yacht exhibition gathers professional and amateur yacht lovers together under the wing of The Royal Yacht Club.

This year it took place for a fourth time already. The exhibition is considered the principal event on the sporting and social calendar. The Moscow Yacht Show 2010 united in one area three of the largest Russian yachts distributors: Ultramarine, Nordmarine and Premium Yachts.

A wide range of yachts were on display for a week. An exhibition showcased yachts both from Russian manufacturers and world famous brands: Azimut, Princess, Ferretti, Pershing, Riviera, Doral, Linssen, etc.

It was a real feast for seafarers as visitors of the show had a unique chance not only to take a look at the newest superyachts before they hit the market, but also to evaluate their driving advantages during the test drive. The show provided an excellent opportunity for yacht enthusiasts to choose and buy a new boat for the next season.

The event started with the grandiose gala evening. It included grand dinner, the concert and professional awards ceremony for achievements in Russian yachting industry. The guests also enjoyed the annual regatta.

Special guest Paolo Vitelli, Azimut Benetti Group president, opened the evening.

Next year organizers assured guests they would bring more yachts, the scale of which will even make oligarch Roman Abramovich envious. Sounds very promising indeed.
