As you’ll see in the luxury yacht interiors below, the quality and aesthetics are simply gorgeous. And we merely feature a small handful of such boats. There are thousands and thousands of these worldwide.

We kick off our yacht interiors gallery with the stateroom. When it comes to the primary bedroom on these boats, no expense is spared. They are large, comfortable and stunning in design. These bedrooms are bigger than our primary bedroom.

Many guest bedrooms on a yacht have two beds so that it can accommodate more people. However, they are, as you’ll see below, still very, very luxurious. These are certainly cozy sleeping quarters.

Salon and Dinette Photos

My favorite room on the boat is the salon and/or dinette area. In many cases, the dinette doubles as the living room. Mega yachts have dedicated salons and dining areas. I love these superb lounge designs below in the cabin as well as the upper lounge areas.

I must admit that kitchens on these super yachts are fairly small. I guess the cooking is done by the staff and yacht owners prefer to have more space for bedrooms, deck space and lounge space. That makes sense given there really is limited space. Nevertheless, these kitchens are gorgeous and the yacht designers certainly didn’t skimp with respect to quality.

Most boats dedicate very little space to bathrooms. Not these. The primary bathrooms below are incredible. The smaller bathrooms are guest bathrooms. These luxury yachts are so large and spacious that even the bathrooms are both beautiful and comfortable to use.

For many yacht owners, the solution to finding more space aboard for friends and family is summed up by that immortal line by Chief Brody in Jaws : “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

Until now, bigger has typically meant longer. But that’s quickly changing as more and more builders are creating interior volume by going wider and taller. For disrupter builder Wally Yachts and its polarizing new Wallywhy 150—which refers to its internal volume rather than the boat’s length—the quirky design is said to deliver 50 percent more space than more traditional 78-footers.

Other builders like Princess have been in the game since 2021. Its X95 first appeared several years ago, effectively throwing down the gauntlet as a way forward for sub-100-foot yachts to supersize both interior and exterior volumes.

Since then, many other builders of small superyachts have jumped on board, with designs that typically have somewhat bloated profiles, far-forward main suites, and open transoms—features all designed to maximize space but minimize length.

Here are 10 new yachts 100 feet and under that are breaking the mold in an attempt to dominate the nautical space race.

It’s no wonder that disrupter Italian builder Wally—now part of the Ferretti Group—calls its latest head-turner a “spaceship.” Claiming up to 50 percent more space than comparable 78-footers, the 150 (named after interior volume rather than length) has standout features like a main salon with over eight feet of headroom, and a beam of more than 22 feet. The pragmatic design includes a one-level main deck attached to an open rear cockpit that offers easy access to the water. Its most noteworthy feature is the rule-breaking, full-beam master suite tucked into the bow on the main deck. It has wraparound glass—stretching all the way around the bow—for panorama-like views from the main bedroom. Priced from about $6.7 million.

Lazzara UHV 87

Short for Ultra High Volume, this new Turkish-built pocket superyacht is a sistership to Lazzara’s UHV 100 and 125 models. The newest Lazzara boasts an impressive 2,153 square feet of interior space in its 87-foot length. Arguably, the boat is not pretty in a classic sense. The towering hull sides, blunt, plumb bow, and dark-tinted glass make it look more like a dinner cruiser than a mini-superyacht. But the interior space is astonishing, from the cavernous Sky Lounge, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, to the salon with a separate, chandelier-lit dining area and chef’s galley. With a fuel capacity of 3,000 gals, the twin 1,000 hp Volvo D13s deliver a top speed of 16 knots. The boat also has transatlantic range. Base price starts at about $10.9 million.

Sunseeker 100 Yacht

Movie nights under the stars should have a whole new appeal aboard UK builder Sunseeker’s brand-new 98-footer. Lie back on the yacht’s extra-wide foredeck sunpad and watch the latest blockbuster on a 140-inch screen with laser projection. Or, if you’re the lucky owner, stargaze from your private terrace tucked away in the bow, just steps from the full-beam main-deck master suite, with atrium-style glass sliding doors. One of the best innovations here is the wide, uninterrupted walkway around the entire top deck, which provides safe, easy access from the flybridge to the forward entertaining space. With its twin 2,600 hp V16 MTU diesels, top speed is an impressive 29 knots. Priced from about $10.5 million.

Azimut Grande 26M

For its brand-new Grande 26M compact superyacht, Italian builder Azimut has gone extra wide to create massive interior and exterior spaces. Spatial highlights include a full-width flybridge that’s almost 20 feet across and close to 40 feet long, and a foredeck entertaining area that seems more like an outdoor patio. The Alberto Mancini-styled go-fast cruiser is crammed with space-enhancing innovations, such as a teak-decked garage door that, at the touch of a button, hinges upwards to extend the rear cockpit by almost five feet. New ZF pod drives coupled to the yacht’s twin 1,650 hp MAN V12 diesels also save space. It is priced from about $6.2 million.

Princess X95

As we said during our 2021 tour of Britain’s Princess Yachts’ tri-deck X95 “When it comes to the polarizing, head-spinning design, there are no half-measures, no in-betweens. You either love it. Or loathe it.” But what those eye-popping lines hide is perhaps the most spacious 95-foot luxury cruiser in the category. Reckoned to be some 40 percent roomier than cruisers with the same length, the X95 has stretch-out accommodations for up to 10 in five cabins and living spaces that rival most apartments. The flybridge covers almost the entire length of the yacht. The 100 is also fast, with twin 1,990 hp MAN V12s delivering a top speed of 23 knots. Prices start at about $12 million.

Extra X96 Triplex

This broad-beamed 96-footer is from the Italian builder Extra Yachts, which is part of the Palumbo Superyachts Group. While it’s called the Triplex, there are actually four levels if you include the cozy upper sundeck with its outdoor kitchen, dining area, and oversized sunpads. The exterior comes courtesy of Italian designer Francesco Guida, while interiors are by Milan-based Hot Labs. Both teams have made the most of the yacht’s class-leading 25-foot beam. Notable features include a vast full-beam master on the main level and an upper salon dedicated entirely to dining, with a table for 10, an open chef’s galley, and an adjoining outdoor bar. Twin Volvo IPS1350s deliver a 16.5-knot top speed. Priced from $12 million.

Sunreef 100

This Sunreef power catamaran’s beam spans a staggering 44 feet, offering the kind of interior and exterior spaces you only get with superyachts twice the length. Every element of the yacht is XXL-size—from the massive hydraulic swim platform to the full-width flybridge that covers almost 1,000 square feet. Down in the salon is a huge 11-seat U-shaped bar that would delight any mixologist. The five staterooms in the twin hulls have space for 10. A pair of 1,300 hp MAN V8 diesels delivers a six-knot top speed. It is priced from about $15.3 million.

Absolute Navetta 75

In Italian, the word “navetta” translates to “little ship.” Which is a perfect description for Absolute’s new 75-foot fast cruiser. It’s an evolution of the strong-selling Navetta 73 but with nearly two feet of extra length. The yacht’s expansive interior volumes will remain the same, with features like a forward master stateroom on its own level that has a private entrance steps away from the main salon. The salon features floor-to-ceiling glass, with full views of the water, courtesy of open bulwarks. Twin 1,000 hp Volvo IPS1350 diesels deliver a top speed of 25 knots. Pricing starts at about $4 million.

Arcadia A96

Cross a spacious Miami high-rise penthouse with a Canyon Ranch spa and the result could be this new 96-foot superyacht from Italian builder Arcadia. Boasting a remarkable 4,300 square feet of total living space, there’s room for 12 guests and five crew. And the living spaces even expand, courtesy of fold-down terraces in the main salon and on the rear deck. But the yacht’s focus on wellness and healthy living sets it apart. That expansive, teak-decked foredeck, spanning over 500 square feet, is perfect for yoga sessions or meditation, while the cockpit and beach club offer another 1,000 square feet of social space. For extra peace and quiet at anchor, solar panels can provide up to nine hours of generator-free power.

Numarine 26XP Fast

Think of it as offering pace, with space. Turkish yard Numarine has been building its bold 85-foot 26XP explorer style mini-superyacht since 2018, but later this year, it will launch the U.S.-focused 26XP Fast. Instead of slow-churning 435 hp diesels and nine-knot cruising, it’s bolting-in a pair of mighty 1,800 hp MAN V12s and modifying the hull to deliver a top speed of 31 knots. What hasn’t changed is the XP’s cavernous interior and expensive deck space. Take the top-deck flybridge which, thanks to the yacht’s 21-foot beam and far-forward helm, spans over 700 square feet. That space will include a dining table for eight, a full outdoor kitchen, and more lounges than a Saint-Tropez beach bar. Prices start from $6.95 million.

A cabin cruiser is a powerboat with overnight accommodations and a galley.

They are generally faster than trawlers and cuddy cabins and can range from 25’ to 100’ in length. There are a number of different types of cruisers, including:

($14,742) with a cruising speed in the mid 20’s can seat four.

The 17’11” Four Winns H180 OB

($24,451) includes a swing away tongue, full-sized walk-across swim platform, and Bluetooth-capable stereo with MP3 port and two speakers.

The 23’1” Larson LX 225S IO

($43,267) comes with a trailer that has disc brakes, a canvas bow, and cockpit covers. It also has an MP3-capable stereo.

Is it better to buy a used boat?

There are plenty of advantages to buying a used boat. The biggest advantage is the price.

While you might find some expensive boats listed on used vessel or vehicle websites, but you will find more reasonably priced used models than not.

Just like a car, a boat depreciates in value when it gets driven off of the lot.

Pocket cruisers and mini yachts are generally vessels under 50 feet in length overall, and can include express cruiser designs, flybridge yachts as well as either monohull or catamaran hull forms. They are cruising boats easily handled by a small, or even shorthanded, crew. Pocket cruisers generally have wave-taming hull designs and have the ability to take on sporty seas, offer comfortable accommodations belowdecks with one or two staterooms for extended voyages, “homelike amenities,” and the ability to cruise as slowly or as quickly as an owner desires with inboard- and outboard-power options. These pocket-cruising boats have the range for longer voyages , can pull up in skinny water at the sandbar thanks to shallow drafts, and head over the horizon where cruising adventure awaits. Pocket cruisers are true multitasking yachts. When it comes to family and couples cruising, it’s hard to beat a well-built and well-equipped and pocket cruiser.

When Android co-founder, Rich Miner, wanted a new family-friendly pocket cruiser , he turned to a custom-penned C.W. Hood design and a Lyman-Morse-built 35-footer, which has a timeless Down East profile matched to seriously modern technology under the hood.

This yacht looks like a traditional, cold-molded Down East dayboat, but actually, it has everything, from Hamilton HJX Series water-jet drives to a planned Sea Machines autonomous command-and-control system . Top speed: 40-plus knots.

Quick Specifications

Galeon yachts 375 gto.

Even the remnants of Hurricane Ian, couldn’t dissuade the Galeon Yacht 375 GTO from its cruising mission. The small yacht’s wave-splitting hull form is paired to torque-filled 600 hp Mercury Verado outboards , giving this fun-in-the-sun boat a 47-knot top hop.

The 375 GTO is a speedster, to be sure, but it’s also so much more. Just about every aspect of the main deck seating is transformable and multifunction, from the aft seating to the alfresco dining abaft the helm, and beyond. It also has a family-size and eminently cruise-worthy belowdecks space for four guests, all while providing a foredeck entertaining lounge too.

The Galeon Yachts 375 GTO ticks all the boxes for an easy-to-handle and sporty cruiser.

Aquila 42 Yacht Power Catamaran

Following the success of its 44-, 54- and 70-foot power catamaran models, Aquila has launched the stable-as-a-table, owner-operator-ready Aquila 42 Yacht Power Catamaran .

The Aquila 42 is the entry point into the builder’s yacht line and is noteworthy for its ability to accommodate anywhere from a two- to four-stateroom layout, depending on the owner’s cruising requirements. There are alfresco spaces to manage the sunset cruise with friends and family, including a foredeck lounge area that can be accessed via centerline steps from the flybridge. The Aquila 42 is available with several Volvo Penta diesel-engine options .

Azimut Verve 42

Want to cruise from Florida to Bimini in about an hour? The Azimut Yachts Verve 42 can do that thanks, in part, to triple 450 hp Mercury Racing outboards and a hull designed to dice-and-slice a seaway. Top hop: 45 knots. The Verve 42 also has style for miles with a fine entry, raked hardtop, and a razorlike sheerline accented by sweeping hull glass from bow to stern. It’s striking.

With accommodation for a family of four, the Verve 42 is also solid under the hull tokeep everyone safe on those passages. The Verve 42’s hull is built of fiberglass and uses vinylester resins for blister protection. The yacht’s deck and hardtop are comprised of carbon fiber for strength without added weight. This all means that the Azimut Verve 42 is built to CE Classification Type A , making it suitable for sea voyages where winds can exceed 45 mph and seas to 13 feet.

Hinckley Yachts 35

The Hinckley Yachts 35 takes everything that yachtsmen like about this pedigreed-brand’s classic profile and infuses today’s modern outboard power to create 40 knots of sheer fun wrapped in sheer luxury.

This 35-foot Hinckley is built on a Michael-Peters-penned hull form with a fine entry, wider-than-average chines and a moderate deadrise. While the boat is built to sprint when desired, it’s also a relatively economical cruiser. For instance, a comfortable 24-knot cruise the Hinckley Yachts 35 has a 276-nautical-mile range.

It also has a tech-build thanks to vacuum-infused carbon-fiber composites and epoxy resin. An integrated interior structure is infused with the hull adding rigidity. The hull is then post-cured in an 80-foot oven, further strengthening the structure.

Beneteau Gran Turismo 45

The Beneteau Gran Turismo is the flagship of the builder’s four-model GT series, which also includes 32-, 36- and 41-foot models.

The Gran Turismo 45 ’s cruise-centric layout includes two staterooms and two heads belowdecks, as well as a galley down. There is also a dinette for meals and a settee for rainy-day lounging. Entertaining guests and enjoying the sun is the primary mission of the main deck.

Solaris Power 48 Open

The Solaris Power 48 Open was the first powerboat from this longtime builder known for its sailing yachts, ranging from 40 to 110 feet length overall. The Solaris Power 48 Open is notable for its wave-slicing plumb-bow design, high freeboard forward and 32-knot-plus speed. Power is twin 480 hp Volvo Penta IPS650 diesels.

The high freeboard keeps the deck dry and help creates sizable volume belowdecks with an average 6-foot-6-inch headroom. This enables real estate for either one or two staterooms. With the single-stateroom setup, there is a forepeak master stateroom while an L-shaped settee converts to sleeping accommodations for family or occasional guests. Interior wood options are oak or walnut.

Cruisers Yachts 42 GLS

Outboard-power cruising aficionados will appreciate the triple-engine options for the Cruisers Yachts 42 GLS . The 42 GLS we got aboard had the triple 400 hp Mercury Verados , which produced a top hop of 45 knots, but triple 450 hp Verados are available. Triple 350 hp Mercury Verados are the standard engine option. No matter the power arrangement, this express cruiser can easily be used for wakeboarding and tube towing. The 42 GLS is designed to handle the rough stuff too, with a fine entry and 21-degree transom deadrise.

For cruising enthusiasts, the 42 GLS has a master stateroom with an athwartships and a nearly queen-size berth, and the lower salon’s U-shaped dinette converts to a queen-size berth for the kids.

Back Cove 34O

Combining modern outboard power with classic Downeast styling, the Back Cove 34O touts award-winning standards with cruising in mind. The 34O is equipped with twin 300 hp Yamaha outboards, engines that allow the Newport International Boat Show’s 2018 Best Powerboat Under 35 Feet winner to travel up to 214 nautical miles at 24 knots on a 250-gallon fuel tank.

Belowdecks, the 34O has an island double berth and a split-head arrangement with the toilet to port and a separate shower stall to starboard. On the main deck, a U-shape dinette to port accommodates four or more guests on the Back Cove Yachts vessel. The 34O’s galley is equipped with a Cuisinart microwave, a two-burner Kenyon electric cooktop and a Vitrifrigo fridge and freezer.

Picnic Boat 40

Hinckley Yachts unveiled its first Picnic Boat more than two decades ago. Now, after two previous, sub-40-foot models, the Maine-based boatbuilder has developed its largest and most advanced model to date: the Picnic Boat 40.

Twin 480 hp Cummins diesel engines paired to twin Hamilton 322 jet drives propel the yacht to a 30-knot cruising speed and 34 knots on the pins. With optional twin 550 hp Cummins diesels, cruise and top-end speeds jump to 35 and 38 knots, respectively.

There is an L-shaped settee with a table and a wet bar on the main deck to port. The helm station is forward and to starboard with a benchseat for two. There is also a companion seat across from the helm. Belowdecks, there is 6-foot-2-inch headroom, and the dinette table drops to form a California-king berth for overnights and weekending.

Aquila Power Catamarans started its line with 44- and 48-footers, and now the builder’s Aquila 36 takes the line into the midsize market.

The 36 features a single, main-living area from bow to stern, helped in part by the vessel’s 14-foot, 7-inch beam. The boat can comfortably seat up to 20 guests for fun on the salt. Several Mercury Verado engine options are available for the Aquila 36, including twin 250-, 300- and 350-hp four-strokes. With the 350s, the Aquila has a top-end speed of 37 knots.

Other notable features include a fiberglass hardtop, a dinette, a cooktop, a fridge, a sink and a smokeless grill. Belowdecks, there are two staterooms with nearly queen-size berths, en suite heads and 6-foot-6-inch headroom in each.

Boston Whaler 350 Realm

From fishing and entertaining guests to diving and overnight cruising, Boston Whaler ‘s 350 Realm is a multitasker. And it’s fast, too. It’s powered with either triple 300 hp or triple 350 hp Mercury Verados. The 350 Realm can reach a top speed of 46 knots.

At the helm, two Raymarine displays provide vital navigation data. The captain can take in the displays’ view from a doublewide helm seat. There’s a flip-down platform for standing when needed and a footrest when desired.

There is a V-shaped berth that converts into a double berth with a filler cushion. The separated head has a VacuFlush MSD and a hot-and-cold shower. Owners also have the option to add a microwave and a flat-screen TV.

The MJM 35z can reach a top speed of 44 knots and a cruising speed of 33 knots on its optional 350 hp Mercury Verado outboards; twin 300 hp outboards are standard on this MJM Yachts vessel. Additionally, the 35z can travel up to 304 nautical miles on its 250-gallon fuel tank.

The 35z has a flush-deck layout and to port is space for an electric grill, a baitwell, a sink, an ice maker and a fridge. There are two Stidd helm seats—one for the helmsman and the other for a copilot—that rotate to face the rest of the seating aft. In the cabin is V-shaped seating forward that can be converted to a berth.

Owners also have the option of adding a Seakeeper 3 gyrostabilizer and a full-length Bimini top to shade the cockpit.

Greenline 39

Greenline Yachts ‘ vessels are aptly named for their environmentally friendly means of moving about; the Greenline 39 is no different. The Slovenian yacht manufacturer produces two types of this model: hybrid and solar.

If owners opt for the latter, the 39’s four solar panels atop the salon power all of the vessel’s systems for three hours. With the power of the sun, the 39 can achieve a max speed of 6.5 knots and a cruising speed of 4 knots. The hybrid type uses those same panels to help power a 220 hp Volvo Penta D3 with a Mahle electric-drive system. Owners have the option of replacing the standard engine with a 370 hp Yanmar 8LV diesel.

Belowdecks, scissor berths provide accommodations for long weekends.

Jean Philippe Nuel  has made Compagnie Du Ponant yacht into an epitome of elegance. An ultra light color scheme is accented with aqua blue accents and creative nautical details. Sophisticated smart furnishings further promote the elegant aesthetic that masterfully mixes luxury and minimalist design solutions.

From the first or even second look Compagnie Du Ponant doesn’t seem like a yacht but rather appears as a very expensive boutique hotel or apartment.

CRN 43 MY Lady Trudy

CRN 43 M/Y Lady Trudy is a gorgeous mix of traditional and modern styles. Its white interiors are finished and accented with dark wooden floors and furnishings. White cabinetry allows to visually enhance the space in rooms like the main seating room and kitchen.

It’s the latter that brings a bit of industrial aesthetic with its modern stoves, though. A farmhouse sink makes for a very rustic accent that helps to amplify the contrast between the old and new.

CRN 130 M/Y Darlings Danama

CRN  is known for its gorgeous mega and superyachts. Darlings Danama presents a mix of modern and high-tech design, but more in aesthetic than functionality, though. Its minimalist furnishings show interesting curvilinear shapes and ambient lighting accents certain lines reflecting in a glossy ceiling.

Designed in a light color scheme the interiors that feature rare darker accents look light and bright even with the window curtains closed.

Built-in lighting that has not only a functional purpose but also adds a color accent to the decor prevails over lighting fixtures. And while it’s a very boutique style interior there are plenty of practical design solutions in all of its rooms.

Galactica Super Nova Yacht

Conceived by a Dutch shipyard  Heesen Yachts  Galactica Super Nova Yacht is a design that represents luxury in every inch. Wherever you look there are different wooden accents, layers of walls and ceilings, and lots of inbuilt lights.

In other rooms of the yacht the retro-futuristic aesthetic persists coupled with modern luxury design solutions and materials.

Sunseeker’s Flagship 155 Yacht

Unveiled at the 2014 London International Boat Show  Sunseeker’s Flagship 155 yacht  features an interior design that would easily fit into a boutique hotel. The concept is focused on a classic combination of dark wooden accents and a neutral color scheme.

Luxurious materials and an ultra sleek design, though, take it from traditional to ultra modern. Built-in lighting, modern furniture and lots of glass and other reflective surfaces make the interior look very glamorous.

Twizzle S/Y by Todhunter Earle Interiors

Twizzle S/Y , a concept designed by Todhunter Earle Interiors, features a kitchen that could rival that of a land residence. Shiny countertops and state-of-the-art technology coupled together make for an inviting cooking area albeit a bit tight in space.

The kitchen might not be the most important part of a luxury yacht but if love of cooking or long sailing trips aren’t good reasons for a clever yacht kitchen design then we don’t know what is.

Twizzly M/Y by Todhunter Earle Interiors

Todhunter Earle Interiors’s Twizzle M/Y is another example of an elegant yacht interior design. Bearing a hint of mid-century modern style the yacht looks like a boutique hotel with a formal dining area and luxe bathroom design.

Using artworks and live flowers the designers give the yacht a lively feel. And mixing minimalist and statement pieces they keep it inviting but luxurious.

With an interior fit for a luxurious 5-star hotel  Abeking Rasmussen Yacht Romea is a 81-meter boat that also attracts attention in the sea. Terence Disdale ensured the insides matched the status of the luxurious vessel creating the interior design that deserves its own magazine spread.

Designed in a neutral color scheme it has modeled ceilings, built-in lighting, and even columns that give the interiors a more dramatic feel. The yacht’s spacious bedroom with a soft platform bed has an interesting textured ceiling design that diffuses the built-in lights into a gentle glowing halo.

Baraka Turquoise Yacht

Many yacht interior designs feature neutral color schemes that call for bright accents. Incongruous with the name Baraka Turquoise this yacht by Francesco Paszkowski Design  features violet throw pillows in the bedroom and red accents in the living area that jazz up the neutral decor.

Besides the throw pillows the yacht has a bright artwork in the hallway that ties the color scheme all together with its white, black, red, and violet colors.

Khalilah First All-Carbon  49 Superyacht

Khalilah is a world’s first superyacht made entirely out of a carbon composite. The golden boat may look like a sports car of yachts from the outside but on the inside you’ll find it is designed with a surprising boho chic aesthetic and a hint of retro.

White walls and tiered ceiling have a warm contrast in hardwood flooring and mostly white furnishings are accented with bright throw pillows and hot pink curtains. And in the middle of it all is a metallic octopus-shaped chandelier.

CRN 55m Atlante Luxury Yacht

It’s hard to stay away from CRN yachts for long. They are luxurious from inside out. 55m M/Y Atlante  luxury yacht is the proof that yacht facilities such as bathrooms can be as glamorous (if not more) as the rest of the interior.

Dressed in black and white veiny marble the wood-clad ceiling bath has a metal-framed glass shower stall and an amazing built-in sink. Atlante definitely has one of the most luxurious yacht interior designs out there.

CRN 129 M/Y Chopi Chopi

CRN ‘s Chopi Chopi is a another amazing yacht. It’s not only impressive from the outside but has incredible interiors. Decked out in wood the spacious seating areas are furnished with soft couches and plush carpets.

Indoor/outdoor rooms include a dining area and a home office. Yes, a home office. On a yacht. Why not? Many of these are as good for the living as they are for writing emails and answering phone calls.

Palmer Johnson’s Dragon Yacht Interior Design

Palmer Johnson’s Dragon yacht has one of the best yacht interior designs by  Nuvolari-Lenard . Taking cues from the boat’s name the designer cleverly organized space into divided zones and used dark wooden accents to accentuate the reds in the color scheme.

Using ceiling details and wall paneling the designer plays with red, white, and black creating layers and layers of color.

Sinnex Yachts My Nirvana

Among the most mind-boggling yacht interior designs is My Nirvana by Sinnex Yachts  that is a real treat when it comes to luxury. Just its spacious formal dining room could compete with a half of one of these yachts. The backlit columns with realistic-looking patterns and amazing printed floors set a green color scheme balanced with black and white walls and ceiling.

Among other amazing features there is a cinema and an atrium that turn this boat into an ultimate sailing resort.

MYSORAH by Patrick Knowles Design

When it comes to traditional boat interiors Patrick Knowles Design might be the designer for it.  MYSORAH  is how we imagine traditional luxury yacht interior designs. There are neutral colors enhanced with light and dark wood. Blue accents that remind of the interior’s nautical origins.

Classy, reserved, and sophisticated this boat manages to look interesting and eye catchy even with all the conservative design solutions in place.

ISA63M by Patrick Knowles Design

Now Knowles’s ISA 63 yacht design is something different. There are incredible prints, colorful accents, and whimsical furniture pieces decorating the white and light wood interior.

Numerous details constantly attract the eye and make for an incredible general look that manages to stay functional and at times even traditional.

Riva 88 Florida Yacht

Riva 88 Florida  by Officina Italiana Design may look modest in comparison to many of these other yacht interior designs but its stylish design is as clear as its lines. Dressed in wood and featuring lots of built-in lighting the yacht is filled with nautical blue accents that still don’t take it into the territory of traditional design.

Thanks to numerous sleek metallic accents the interiors look somehow smart and modern. In the bedroom the lack of space is leveled with a big mirror and a reflective ceiling.

Solandge Superyacht

If you are truly into luxury a $1 million/week Solandge Superyacht  is a way to go. 93 meter (280 ft) boat is designed with such extravagant luxury it’s ridiculous. And it’s probably the most expensive one of all charters. Aside from the marble-topped nightstands there is a swimming pool, a formal dining room, a gym, and a sauna.

Furnished with the most luxurious materials the boat is definitely made for exuberant millionaire vacations and parties with a bar, a hot tub deck, and all the water activities.

Yacht interior designs can surely be unique. Some of these yacht interior designs would look right at home with the  modern mansions or luxury penthouses. But it’s not enough to just have a yacht today. Its interiors must have personality and character apart from style and luxury.

10 Small Superyachts That Offer Supersized Interiors

For many yacht owners, the solution to finding more space aboard for friends and family is summed up by that immortal line by Chief Brody in Jaws: “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

Until now, bigger has typically meant longer. But that’s quickly changing as more and more builders are creating interior volume by going wider and taller. For disrupter builder Wally Yachts and its polarizing new Wallywhy 150—which refers to its internal volume rather than the boat’s length—the quirky design is said to deliver 50 percent more space than more traditional 78-footers.

Other builders like Princess have been in the game since 2021. Its X95 first appeared several years ago, effectively throwing down the gauntlet as a way forward for sub-100-foot yachts to supersize both interior and exterior volumes.

Since then, many other builders of small superyachts have jumped on board, with designs that typically have somewhat bloated profiles, far-forward main suites, and open transoms—features all designed to maximize space but minimize length.

Here are 10 new yachts 100 feet and under that are breaking the mold in an attempt to dominate the nautical space race.

It’s no wonder that disrupter Italian builder Wally—now part of the Ferretti Group—calls its latest head-turner a “spaceship.” Claiming up to 50 percent more space than comparable 78-footers, the 150 (named after interior volume rather than length) has standout features like a main salon with over eight feet of headroom, and a beam of more than 22 feet. The pragmatic design includes a one-level main deck attached to an open rear cockpit that offers easy access to the water. Its most noteworthy feature is the rule-breaking, full-beam master suite tucked into the bow on the main deck. It has wraparound glass—stretching all the way around the bow—for panorama-like views from the main bedroom. Priced from about $6.7 million.

Lazzara UHV 87

Short for Ultra High Volume, this new Turkish-built pocket superyacht is a sistership to Lazzara’s UHV 100 and 125 models. The newest Lazzara boasts an impressive 2,153 square feet of interior space in its 87-foot length. Arguably, the boat is not pretty in a classic sense. The towering hull sides, blunt, plumb bow, and dark-tinted glass make it look more like a dinner cruiser than a mini-superyacht. But the interior space is astonishing, from the cavernous Sky Lounge, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, to the salon with a separate, chandelier-lit dining area and chef’s galley. With a fuel capacity of 3,000 gals, the twin 1,000 hp Volvo D13s deliver a top speed of 16 knots. The boat also has transatlantic range. Base price starts at about $10.9 million.

Sunseeker 100 Yacht

Movie nights under the stars should have a whole new appeal aboard UK builder Sunseeker’s brand-new 98-footer. Lie back on the yacht’s extra-wide foredeck sunpad and watch the latest blockbuster on a 140-inch screen with laser projection. Or, if you’re the lucky owner, stargaze from your private terrace tucked away in the bow, just steps from the full-beam main-deck master suite, with atrium-style glass sliding doors. One of the best innovations here is the wide, uninterrupted walkway around the entire top deck, which provides safe, easy access from the flybridge to the forward entertaining space. With its twin 2,600 hp V16 MTU diesels, top speed is an impressive 29 knots. Priced from about $10.5 million.

Azimut Grande 26M

For its brand-new Grande 26M compact superyacht, Italian builder Azimut has gone extra wide to create massive interior and exterior spaces. Spatial highlights include a full-width flybridge that’s almost 20 feet across and close to 40 feet long, and a foredeck entertaining area that seems more like an outdoor patio. The Alberto Mancini-styled go-fast cruiser is crammed with space-enhancing innovations, such as a teak-decked garage door that, at the touch of a button, hinges upwards to extend the rear cockpit by almost five feet. New ZF pod drives coupled to the yacht’s twin 1,650 hp MAN V12 diesels also save space. It is priced from about $6.2 million.

Princess X95

As we said during our 2021 tour of Britain’s Princess Yachts’ tri-deck X95 “When it comes to the polarizing, head-spinning design, there are no half-measures, no in-betweens. You either love it. Or loathe it.” But what those eye-popping lines hide is perhaps the most spacious 95-foot luxury cruiser in the category. Reckoned to be some 40 percent roomier than cruisers with the same length, the X95 has stretch-out accommodations for up to 10 in five cabins and living spaces that rival most apartments. The flybridge covers almost the entire length of the yacht. The 100 is also fast, with twin 1,990 hp MAN V12s delivering a top speed of 23 knots. Prices start at about $12 million.

Extra X96 Triplex

This broad-beamed 96-footer is from the Italian builder Extra Yachts, which is part of the Palumbo Superyachts Group. While it’s called the Triplex, there are actually four levels if you include the cozy upper sundeck with its outdoor kitchen, dining area, and oversized sunpads. The exterior comes courtesy of Italian designer Francesco Guida, while interiors are by Milan-based Hot Labs. Both teams have made the most of the yacht’s class-leading 25-foot beam. Notable features include a vast full-beam master on the main level and an upper salon dedicated entirely to dining, with a table for 10, an open chef’s galley, and an adjoining outdoor bar. Twin Volvo IPS1350s deliver a 16.5-knot top speed. Priced from $12 million.

This Sunreef power catamaran’s beam spans a staggering 44 feet, offering the kind of interior and exterior spaces you only get with superyachts twice the length. Every element of the yacht is XXL-size—from the massive hydraulic swim platform to the full-width flybridge that covers almost 1,000 square feet. Down in the salon is a huge 11-seat U-shaped bar that would delight any mixologist. The five staterooms in the twin hulls have space for 10. A pair of 1,300 hp MAN V8 diesels delivers a six-knot top speed. It is priced from about $15.3 million.

Absolute Navetta 75

In Italian, the word “navetta” translates to “little ship.” Which is a perfect description for Absolute’s new 75-foot fast cruiser. It’s an evolution of the strong-selling Navetta 73 but with nearly two feet of extra length. The yacht’s expansive interior volumes will remain the same, with features like a forward master stateroom on its own level that has a private entrance steps away from the main salon. The salon features floor-to-ceiling glass, with full views of the water, courtesy of open bulwarks. Twin 1,000 hp Volvo IPS1350 diesels deliver a top speed of 25 knots. Pricing starts at about $4 million.

Arcadia A96

Cross a spacious Miami high-rise penthouse with a Canyon Ranch spa and the result could be this new 96-foot superyacht from Italian builder Arcadia. Boasting a remarkable 4,300 square feet of total living space, there’s room for 12 guests and five crew. And the living spaces even expand, courtesy of fold-down terraces in the main salon and on the rear deck. But the yacht’s focus on wellness and healthy living sets it apart. That expansive, teak-decked foredeck, spanning over 500 square feet, is perfect for yoga sessions or meditation, while the cockpit and beach club offer another 1,000 square feet of social space. For extra peace and quiet at anchor, solar panels can provide up to nine hours of generator-free power.

Numarine 26XP Fast

Think of it as offering pace, with space. Turkish yard Numarine has been building its bold 85-foot 26XP explorer style mini-superyacht since 2018, but later this year, it will launch the U.S.-focused 26XP Fast. Instead of slow-churning 435 hp diesels and nine-knot cruising, it’s bolting-in a pair of mighty 1,800 hp MAN V12s and modifying the hull to deliver a top speed of 31 knots. What hasn’t changed is the XP’s cavernous interior and expensive deck space. Take the top-deck flybridge which, thanks to the yacht’s 21-foot beam and far-forward helm, spans over 700 square feet. That space will include a dining table for eight, a full outdoor kitchen, and more lounges than a Saint-Tropez beach bar. Prices start from $6.95 million.

To create it, the participation of specialists who will be responsible for the technical side is necessary. If you want to develop an individual cabin interior, it is worth considering the features that distinguish them from ordinary rooms. To select an interior, you can draw an analogy with a small room.

Important! In this case, it is worth considering the features of the forms of cabins. Unlike rooms in residential buildings, they do not have right angles equal to 90°. This directly affects the features of the choice of finishing material and furniture.

Today, shipbuilders offer boats of completely different sizes. However, the larger its dimensions – the higher its cost would be. If the project involves the use of one cabin, you can divide it into functional zones. To do this, you need to choose the right material for the piers.

As you know, a bathroom and a place to maintain hygiene should be completely isolated from other rooms. Therefore, you need to separate them with a full wall, while it is worth using materials that will not make the ship heavier. It can be wood, plastic, drywall.

Tip! Remember that indoor air humidity may be higher than in residential buildings. This factor should be considered when choosing a material.

How to design a bathroom interior depends on your preference. To do this, you can use both light cheap plastic and massive expensive marble.

The number of cabins must be chosen depending on the number of prospective travelers. It is advisable that the beds be completely separated from the common recreation area. But if space does not allow this, they can be combined into one room. Nevertheless, it is advisable to visually highlight each zone.

Note! For the decoration of cabins, as a rule, wooden materials are used. But if desired it can be other materials.

As mentioned above, the arrangement of the cabin can be compared with a small room, so everything in the interior should be as functional as possible. It is reasonable to use transformable furniture. Folding tables, as well as L-shaped sofas and the like, will fit perfectly into this interior.

Important! It is worth considering that this vehicle is predominantly in constant motion, so it is advisable to use the built-in appliances and furniture.

Cabins are used both in the daytime and at night. Therefore, it is important to properly equip them with electrical appliances that provide light in the dark, as well as if the sunlight from the porthole is not enough.

It’s worth mentioning right away that bulky chandeliers will be inappropriate even on the largest yachts. Spotlights, which will be equipped with each zone separately, are best suited for this. Due to the fact that the cabin has low ceilings, it is impractical to install general lighting.

It is important that the cooking and eating area is lit as efficiently as possible. The place for rest should also be equipped with a lighting fixture, since during the trip you may want to read a book or do something else you love.

Due to the fact that we are talking about a vehicle, it is worth using only stationary built-in lights. For safety reasons, exclude floor lamps, table lamps, etc.

Technical Equipment

In order to make the yacht functional, as adapted as possible for passengers, you need to take care of its technical equipment. It consists of creating an autonomous system of water supply and electricity. Particular attention should be paid to sewage.

And now step-by-step. To create a water supply system, it is necessary to have a special tank that will be filled with fresh water and serve it in the bathroom, toilet, and kitchen. You will also need pipes to assemble this entire system.

The main source of energy that will ensure the operation of all electrical appliances in transport should be a generator.

The sewerage system on the yacht is significantly different from the analog on land. It comes down to a special tank, the cleaning of which is carried out only in authorized places.

Important! The clogging of both fresh and marine waters with fecal waste is punishable by law in all countries.

The arrangement of the interior of a yacht depends on its size, technical equipment, as well as your financial capabilities, tastes, and preferences. For the result to be as functional as possible, adhere to the following rules:

• materials can be both natural and synthetic;
• the furniture must be transformable;

• choose autonomous plumbing;
• electrical appliances must be stationary.

When introducing new elements into the interior, consult with specialists responsible for the technical arrangement of vehicles.

How to Photograph Small Rooms on a Yacht

In this video tutorial, I'm going to show you how I photographed the bedrooms on a $12 million yacht. Although the rooms are large for a boat, they are very small compared to your average bedroom. 

Although most architectural photographers will tell you that 12mm is too wide, when you're shooting small rooms, the wider the better. I shot on the Sony a7 IV  and Sony 12-24mm f/2.8 at 12mm. Remember, wide angle lenses do not cause perspective distortion ; the position of your camera does. As long as your camera is as far back as it can be, shooting with a wider lens will not create more distortion; it will simply reveal more of the room. You can always crop in to get an identical-looking shot (minus a bit of resolution) when taken with a longer lens. 

To get the best possible image of a room, you're going to want to composite images together. Remember, the camera can't move between shots, so I decided to control my camera with my phone rather than potentially moving it while changing settings. I bracketed shots with the window closed and the lights in the room on and again with the window open and lights off. 

To capture the view outside, I stopped down to f/22 to get a correct exposure of the view, and I then bounced a strobe in the room to balance the light inside and outside. Finally, I took a shot while I was standing in the bathroom, firing directly onto the bed to mimic a beam of sunlight. 

Compositing all of these images together can't really be explained in text, so watch the video above to see the entire process.

Yacht Interior Design Style: Small Spaces with Big Personality

Who hasn’t dreamed of living aboard a luxurious yacht? Floating on the ocean and visiting any island you want with all the comforts of home sounds pretty nice…

While most of us can’t afford a mega-million dollar floating palace, you can steal some of these design ideas and make your home feel like a million bucks (with a touch of nautical style, of course)!

The nature of yacht life is dealing with spaces that are smaller than typical homes. This is never more evident than in the kitchen. Because yachts sometimes have smaller appliances and prep space is limited, getting creative is the name of the game!

Small kitchens in homes are no different. Keep functionality at the forefront, but add touches of your personality in with things like unique backsplash tile or easy-to-clean flooring that has more personality with a funky pattern.

Another way to deal with small spaces: mirrors. Mirrors make any space look bigger, and it’s no different on sea than on land. The beautiful Mrs. Happy yacht utilizes mirrors in spaces that may normally feel cramped to help open them up and evoke more breathing room.

Lighting is a really important way that interior designers work to change the way a room looks and feels. Good lighting can make all the difference, and bad lighting can really make a space feel smaller.

Some top tips for lighting…

• Maximize natural light first. But don’t forget that the sun does go down! Pay special attention to where you spend time after dark, then make sure those areas are lighted well.
• Watch the wattage. If the bulbs in the lighting fixture don’t match the feel of the room, the entire piece may feel out of place. You wouldn’t want really bright lighting in a space that should be relaxing (like a bedroom), just like you wouldn’t want low, soft lighting in the kitchen, where you need to be able to see well.
• Light your way. Take a note from yacht lighting and think about places that aren’t easy to see in the dark. There are plenty of unique ways to light staircases and hallways so that lighting is both elegant AND functional.

A common theme in home design is to bring the great outdoors…inside. Whether it is introducing greenery into the environment or creating an airy feel, it is inspired by the great outdoors. The great oceans are no exception to this desire. They inspire a sense of calmness on the one hand, a sense of adventure on the other. Our nautical bedroom ideas should help you bring that creativity together to create a space fit for a sea king.

Before you head off to grab a paint brush and a can of blue paint, it is important to understand what makes a great nautical bedroom. Many people make the mistake of filling their bedroom with nautical antiques and historical objects. While this may work in some cases, this is often over done. We have to remember that it is a bedroom after all.

Designing your nautical themed bedroom

The key is to create a bright, calm space that hints towards the nautical theme. Maybe, a couple of select items you may have that will create a sense of drama or uniqueness. Whether this is an anchor from an old boat, a piece of driftwood or even an oar, these particular items can leave you with no doubt about the nautical theme.

What else to consider with your nautical room ideas

In terms of the bedroom paint color , blue and white is the obvious colors. If you are feeling adventurous, you could consider some ‘beachy’ hues like a pastel green. However, the traditional boat color is blue and white.

The only advice i would give here is to not overdo the blues. Remember this is a bedroom after all, it may be better to consider using the color as an accent rather than the main color.

Whatever nautical bedroom decor ideas you have in mind, the following are a curated collection of nautical room ideas to spark your creativity.

Getting your nautical bedroom decor right

This nautical themed bedroom does a terrific job of hinting towards the theme without ‘shouting’ it. The use of whiter surfaces with a hint of blue is perfectly done. The obvious direction is with the rustic oars attached to the wall. The use of natural surfaces and clever detailing make this a fantastic example of a nautical bedroom theme done well.

Your nautical bedroom furnishings can set the scene

This bedroom gives a more modern interpretation of the nautical theme. Clearly the compass is the direction towards the sea theme, yet the colors are also present. This design has focused on a solid block of color as a feature wall, with other blue hints in other places. This is actually a great example of creating a space at little cost. No expensive antiques here, just a simple painted compass, or even better if you can find it, a vinyl sticker.

Nautical bedding designs goes a long way at low cost…

There is no missing the nautical bedroom theme here…it is in your face! Anchor…check. Oars…check. Random piece of driftwood…check. Color blue…check. It may be a little overdone to some, but i actually think it works quite well. I have to say that the ceiling is a great piece of detailing that many people miss. I should also mention that they have used a couple of different blue colors, which really does help break things up.

Nautical bedrooms can almost be too real…

I’m guessing that nothing says nautical bedroom more than a boat that has been converted into a bed. I have to admire the creativity here…well done. I actually thing that it has been very well done, Nothing over the top, just simple elegant design. The setting is perfect too. The rustic floors with rugged furniture, it literally shouts boat shed. I don’t expect people to go to these lengths but there are lessons we can all take from this image.

An elegant nautical themed room

This is a beautiful example of understated elegance. The theme hints towards the oceans without being overtly clear about it. The colors are injected through the accessories, with the beautiful rustic furniture complementing it so well. The room is as fresh as the sea breeze.

Nautical bedroom accessories create a real interest

Playful…is how i would describe this scene. It does very well in cramming plenty of things ‘sea’ related without being too overbearing. It would work perfectly as a guest bedroom to entertain people. The real trick here is making all the accessories similar in color. This allows them to blend into the background without the room looking cluttered.

Nautical room decor can be very elaborate

Why not go the whole ten yards and buy some boat beds! This is exactly what is going on here and as you can see, they have not held back! With a rug that looks like the sea, the walls that look like the sky at night…and a handy map in case you get lost…you are all set for a great adventure.

A nautical theme bedroom and nautical bed is perfect for a boys room

A scene that every boy infatuated would love…this is almost perfection. The colors are bright and vibrant, the accessories are perfectly sized and feel of the sea is present. Overall, it does a great job in utilizing what you may already have into a great seafaring scene.

Consider this example for nautical master bedroom ideas

Imagine waking up in this room…you can just imagine hearing the waves of the sea. This room is so beautifully done. There are no overt nautical accessories but the ‘feel of the beach ‘ is wholly present. You can imagine this being part of a beach house.

Nautical themed bedroom decor creates a very interesting space…

The key aspect to draw your attention here is the walls. They almost resemble the side of an old boat. Add in some rustic looking accessories and some key pieces, you have a great nautical bedroom scene. For those seeking ideas and inspiration, there is plenty to look at here.

Want something a little grown up? These nautical bedroom ideas for adults should suit…

A slightly more modern setting but the creators have tried hard to give that seafaring vibe. I particularly like the side tables with the old rope at the bottom. The use of colors is good too…understated but obvious.

These nautical bedroom decor ideas should really inspire you…

You can almost imagine yourself being in a cabin at sea! This nautical bedroom goes against the grain by opting for red colors instead of the usual blue. This is done through the accessories, so something that can be changed as easily as changing the covers.

This is actually an important point to make, You can opt for more neutral colors and introduce color with your accessories. This gives you more flexibility to change things up. Keep things as fresh as the sea air…you might say!
