Epping Forest Yacht Club

Epping Forest is nestled on the banks of northeast Florida's St. Johns River. Epping Forest is home to Epping Forest Yacht Club and is considered one of the finest residential marnia communities in Florida First Coast. Members at Epping Forest Yacht Club enjoy a comprehensive range of exercise, fitness and sports programs in the newest and most luxurious facility in the area. Personalized fitness evaluations and training, health education, nutrition consultation, exercise instruction, group fitness classes including spinning and yoga, tennis programs, swimming, children's activities, and spa services are all offered at the 12,000 square-foot Fitness Center.

Epping Forest Yacht Club members benefit from their protected yacht basin on the scenic St. Johns River. This sheltered marina is located on one of the largest expanses of the river (more than three miles across) and faces due West, making for some incredible sunsets. Epping Forest Yacht Club is convenient to many Jacksonville landmarks, and boasts some of the finest sailing waters on the St. Johns River. Members can kick off the Jacksonville Jaguar football games at the Marina and dock at EverBank Stadium, then take a "Cat" walk via the river and join the exciting festivities downtown. Members can also relax on the Mariner's Deck, sipping a cocktail while watching a beautiful sunset on the St. Johns River.

Epping Forest contains the restored riverfront mansion of Alfred I. duPont and Jessie Bal duPont and is recognized in the National Register of Historic Places. Purchased and restored in 1983 by Gate Petroleum, the Epping Forest Yacht Club is surrounded by lush formal English gardens.

As one of Jacksonville's properties on the National Register of Historic Places, Epping Forest Yacht Club has evolved from an historic estate into one of the most exquisite yacht clubs in the South. The original luxurious riverfront Mansion, built in late 1926, was home to industrialist Alfred I. duPont and his wife, Jessie Ball duPont. In 1984, Gate Petroleum Company purchased the property restoring its original splendor. Capable of hosting large corporate events such as Pepsi's Rookie of Year event during Super Bowl XXXIX, this 15,000-square-foot estate property boasts several venues for special events.

In addition to several medium-size dining rooms, the 4,00-square-foot second floor holds as many as 150 between three conjoining rooms. On the St.John's River, the property also features several scenic outdoor spaces. Easily tented, the courtyard adjacent to the marina and boathouse can accomodate 150 guests and the lower gardens can hold 300. We also offer on-site audiovisual support as well as an exclusive in-house executive chef and pastry chef, child-care services, and event coordinators! Throughout the years, Epping Forest has seen many distinguished guests including the Vanderbilts, Carnegies, Presidents, world leaders and celebrities. The views of the lush formal English gardens, the scenic St. Johns River, award-winning cuisine and service continue to make Epping Forest Yacht Club one of the most sought after locations for private parties, corporate functions and weddings.
