New built B145 Explorer launched at Bering Yachts

Bering Yachts is excited to announce the launch of the B145 yacht, M/Y HEEUS . Hitting the water on Thursday 28th of April at the Bering shipyard in Antalya, the 44.20-metre explorer yacht is the first hull in the B145 range of expedition vessels.

THE B145 YACHT

Constructed with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the Bering 145 explorer is a semi-custom platform designed and constructed by the team of in-house engineers and naval architects. Coming in at 44.20 metres with a volume of 499 GT, she is the ideal vessel for an autonomous long distance cruising.

THE BERING: M/Y HEEUS

M/Y HEEUS features an 6-cabin layout on the 3 deck and flybridge with jacuzzi and bar zone.The master stateroom is located on the main deck toward the bow, with glass windows measuring more than 9.5 square meters. A huge saloon with a dining area for 12 persons and a lounge area are located on the main deck. Another dining table is on the upper deck, in the sky lounge.

Demonstrating the flexibility of a semi-custom platform, M/Y HEEUS also features spacious beach club that will not leave you indifferent and garage zone behind the beach club of more than 25 square meters. The yacht has 4 crew cabins and captain quarter. 

B145: EXPLORER CAPABILITY 

In terms of her technical details, it’s clear that the B145 yacht is a vessel built to explore. Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 ACERT, “B” Rated 1200 BHP at 1800-2100 RPM (variable operating speed range type engines), M/Y HEEUS has a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The superyacht features a hybrid propulsion system. The propeller is driven by electric motors charged by a bank of batteries. The banks are recharged by high-efficiency, variable speed DC generators. Docking and mooring is possible in the electric mode. The special feature of this model is the ice belt that will let the owner explore the most distant and cold corners of our planet. B145 has an enormous fuel capacity: 95,600 l. An autonomous range in excess of 5000 nm allows her owners to reach any destinations in complete comfort and safety.

The Bering Yachts B145 Explorer Is Launched

Bering Yachts in Turkey has launched Hull No. 1 of the B145 Explorer, a 145-foot yacht that is being christened Heeus .

The yacht has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. It’s a semi-custom design with a volume of 499 gross tons.

“This will be the beginning of a new chapter for the Bering Yachts company,” Bering Yachts founder Alexei Mikhailov stated in a press release.

Onboard accommodations are for 12 guests in six staterooms, with quarters for 10 crew. The master stateroom is on the main deck toward the bow, with glass windows that measure more than 100 square feet. There’s dining on the main deck and on the upper deck in the sky lounge.

Twin Caterpillar C32 Acert engines are expected to allow a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The yacht has a hybrid propulsion system, with the propeller driven by electric motors that get their juice from a battery bank. DC generators recharge the battery bank.

Those are some big tanks: Fuel capacity is more than 25,000 gallons, a quantity that Bering Yachts calls “enormous.” The yacht has a projected range of 5,000 nautical miles.

Bering Launches 145 Long-Range Explorer

Bering Yachts just launched its new 145-foot expedition yacht, the first in a new series, with an incredible range of 5,000 nm at 12 knots. The new Bering, named Heeus , also has an ice-class hull so it can explore Arctic and Antarctic waters safely.

The new 145 was launched at the Bering yard in Antalya, Turkey, with a displacement steel hull, aluminum superstructure and a reinforced “ice belt” amidships. It was built by in-house engineers and naval architects.

Hybrid power starts with twin 1,200-hp CAT C32 Acert diesels producing a top speed of 15 knots and the cruising speed of 12 knots. Its huge fuel capacity of 25,254 gallons helps produce the yacht’s extraordinary range. A battery bank, recharged by variable-speed DC generators, powers electric motors. The 145-foot yacht can be docked or moored using electric power alone.

Six cabins can sleep up to 12 people, while four cabins and a captain’s cabin can hold 11 crew. The owner’s stateroom is toward the bow on the main deck, and has giant glass windows (measuring more than 100 square feet) for ocean views.

The sky lounge on the top deck has a large table seating a dozen people for al fresco dining, plus a bar and a Jacuzzi. A boat deck, capable of holding a 22-foot tender, is aft.

On the main deck, the new Bering has a vast salon, a dining room with a 12-seat table, and a luxurious lounge.

The foredeck has a large settee with a table, plus extra seating for two or three people, while the beach club all the way aft provides direct access to the water as well as to the garage that can hold a variety of water toys.

CAPTAIN - Michael Mullen Before joining Relentless, Michael was the Captain for the Hollywood celebrity, Merv Griffin, and cruised in North America, Canada, and Europe with him for fifteen years. Prior to that he sailed a 54M motor yacht across the Pacific and worked in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. He grew up in England and began a career at sea as a fisherman in Scotland and later worked in the Oilfields of the North Sea, eventually becoming a Captain on Oil rig boats in the North Sea, Africa, Brazil, and Caribbean. He has been in yachting for over half his nautical career and has worked on yachts up to 100M. For the last 9 years he has spent his time as Manager and Captain of Relentless, mainly cruising the ports and anchorages of the Bahamas and Caribbean. FIRST OFFICER - Oli Gillespie Oli hails from London, England, and has been in the industry now for 10 years, long enough to have earned his Master’s ticket on yachts and stand in as Captain on occasion. Like most of us, he discovered the business by accident but with a love of the water and water sports, plus a penchant for travel, he has excelled in the industry. Oli is now a family man, with a wife and new son in Florida, and enjoys working on classic cars (a 1976 Datsun) and following his favorite English football teams when time permits. CHEF - Max Biasiol Max’s passion for food led him to pursue professional training since 1984, He has been professional yacht chef for the last 12 years. Max is very comfortable with Mediterranean cuisine, with an emphasis on delicious Italian food. He also has a strong flair for Asian culinary traditions, blending the two cultures effortlessly on a plate. While working on a yacht in Thailand, he took the opportunity to learn to cook local cuisine and also trained in Japanese cuisine. With a background in TV journalism, Max has now published three novels in Italian. Max has worked on EMOTION² for many seasons and he has been recruited by the current owner of RELENTLESS to be on board as their new chef! When chef Max is not in the galley preparing your next meal, you will find him with his camera in hand, reading or relaxing watching a movie. He is fluent in English, Italian and French. CHIEF STEWARDESS - Simone Seckington Simone is from England and lived in Spain and Italy where she began working on yachts and her stewardess career. She returned to England after a while to attend University where she received a Degree in Communications and Audio-Visual Production. Later she moved to Florida and once again returned to yachting, where she excels in planning and executing elaborately themed productions for your pleasure when time allows and guests would like. She loves animals, enjoys fitness activities, and cooking at her new home in Fort Lauderdale. CHIEF ENGINEER - Paul Lyndon (PJ) PJ has roots in both the UK and New Zealand and has a background in avionics and engineering acquired while serving in the Royal Air Force in England. He is fully licensed and has spent several years working on many major yachts in the United States and Europe. At one time he was a DJ in the UK and now is the lead person in the Audio Video and entertainment side of Relentless – Karaoke anyone? Geneva enjoys cooking, volunteering, surfing and hiking and when she has the opportunity finding the best local vegan cuisine. Later she moved to Florida and once again returned to yachting, where she excels in planning and executing elaborately themed productions for your pleasure when time allows and guests would like. She moved to Johannesburg when she was 22, where she found a job as a Bookkeeper but after a few years the travel bug bit, and with her passion for travelling she joined the yachting industry where she is very capable and always has a smile on her face. In her spare time, she likes to dive and explore the sea and hopes to discover many more dive sites around the world to explore. <br /> <br /> STEWARDESS - Geneva Jolley<br /> 24 and from the UK, Geneva is from a popular surfing town called Newquay on the South Coast. She began her hospitality career there, working in beach bars and restaurants with people from all over the world. She began travelling at a young age and trained as a yoga teacher in India before heading to Sri Lanka and other places.<br /> Geneva enjoys cooking, volunteering, surfing and hiking and when she has the opportunity finding the best local vegan cuisine. Oli is now a family man, with a wife and new son in Florida, and enjoys working on classic cars (a 1976 Datsun) and following his favorite English football teams when time permits.<br /> <br /> CHEF - Max Biasiol<br /> Max’s passion for food led him to pursue professional training since 1984, He has been professional yacht chef for the last 12 years. Max is very comfortable with Mediterranean cuisine, with an emphasis on delicious Italian food. He is now pursuing his Officer of the Watch qualification and looking forward to moving up the ranks of his chosen profession. He enjoys travelling, running, Cross Fit and watching sports. <br /> <br /> STEWARDESS - Annerize Bezuidenhout<br /> Annerize was born in a small town called Beaufort West in South Africa, but she grew up and went to school in the Eastern Cape. She moved to Johannesburg when she was 22, where she found a job as a Bookkeeper but after a few years the travel bug bit, and with her passion for travelling she joined the yachting industry where she is very capable and always has a smile on her face. In her spare time, she likes to dive and explore the sea and hopes to discover many more dive sites around the world to explore. <br /> <br /> STEWARDESS - Geneva Jolley<br /> 24 and from the UK, Geneva is from a popular surfing town called Newquay on the South Coast. She began her hospitality career there, working in beach bars and restaurants with people from all over the world. She began travelling at a young age and trained as a yoga teacher in India before heading to Sri Lanka and other places.<br /> Geneva enjoys cooking, volunteering, surfing and hiking and when she has the opportunity finding the best local vegan cuisine. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The yacht has a large country kitchen galley with convertible windows that allow guests to watch as the chef whips up culinary masterpieces. The yacht’s beautiful grand foyer also is found on this deck.

I LOVE THIS BOAT welcomes 10 guests in five luxuriant staterooms. The 500-square-foot, on-deck master suite features an owner’s office, a walk-around king-size bed and a beautiful en-suite his-and-hers bathroom separated by a large walk-in shower with a waterfall feature, among other amenities. The additional four staterooms all are located below deck. These tastefully decorated staterooms are positioned at the water level offering tranquil views.

Benetti Vision 145' Charter

The 'Benetti Vision 145' charter yacht follows in the success of the smaller Benetti Classic series,  but for added accommodation and superior cruising comfort these yachts feature a plastic reinforced fiberglass displacement hull.   The Italian designers Stefano Righini and Francois Zuretti are responsible for the design of this popular charter yacht.

The Benetti Vision 145’ unites Italian elegance with Benetti’s well-known production values. The interior is spacious and immersed in natural light, guaranteeing comfort and relaxation for all charter guests. The layout of the Vision 145' series emphasises a smooth flow between internal and external spaces and maximises panoramic views for guests. This semi-custom superyacht has been designed for longer oceanic voyages and incorporates five guest staterooms across four decks. Each deck offers spectacular panoramic views owing to the curved, full height windows whilst dedicated spaces for the crew ensure complete privacy for all guests. The Benetti Vision 145’ is ideal for charter vacations and can provide you and your guests with the ultimate luxury.
