Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 20
How would you rate episode 20 of demon slayer: kimetsu no yaiba community score: 4.5.
Either way, this isn't the siblings' time to shine. In keeping with the usual Demon Slayer format, much of this episode is focused on the disgraced spider demon Sister, whose flashbacks reveal the poisoned humanity that fueled Rui and his clan's evil actions. It's compelling stuff, revealing just how much of a twisted game of house his family really was – for all of his cruel grandstanding, Rui was just a childish bully demanding that all of the other kids play the game the way he wanted, or else. The boy may have been trying to recreate buried memories of life with a human family, but that didn't stop him from torturing and murdering anyone who failed to live up to his impossible expectations.
What got me the most was how we find out that the Mother was actually a young demon girl who had to shapeshift to assume a more matronly form; it makes her fate that much more tragic and stomach churning. While I don't know if “Pretend Family” completely justified the Spider Clan's arc's protracted length, especially seeing as it it took up a full quarter of this season's runtime, these scenes injected some much-needed pathos into the narrative. It may be a predictable component of Demon Slayer 's entire schtick, the way it humanizes the demons right as they're killed off, but those beats still end up being incredibly satisfying.
Equally satisfying was the proper introduction of Shinobu Kochō, the butterfly-themed Demon Slayer who rescued Zenitsu last week. She's yet another character who fulfills a specific anime cliché – the suspiciously cheerful waif who just so happens to have a whole catalog of sadistic and devious death-dealing techniques at her disposal – but she's just so much fun to watch that I can't complain. Her use of a poison-tipped blade to compensate for her lack of raw strength makes for a refreshing contrast to Tanjiro, Inosuke, and the others, as does her delightfully macabre personality. The Sister's end is as grim as they come, and I could easily see how only a slight tweak in perspective would cast Shinobu as a terrifying villain. The world of Demon Slayer is at is best when the line between Demon and Demon Slayer is made as blurry as possible, and that's something this episode definitely accomplishes.
The only question is, with so few episodes left in the season, where does Demon Slayer go from here? I can't imagine that it will take six weeks for Tanjiro to rebuild his sword, yet that also doesn't leave much time for Kibutsuji and his lackeys to establish enough presence in the story for a whole new arc. Given the rapturous reception that the show has been receiving lately, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the show renewed for another season, which would give Tanjiro and Nezuko to train themselves up and show those demons what they're made of.

Undead unluck episode #20 release date & time.
Undead Unluck episode #19 starts the season's final arc on a high note, and here's everything to know about when episode #20 will continue it.
- Undead Unluck episode #20 should premiere on Friday, February 23.
- Undead Unluck episode #19 saw Fuuko creating her own manga to track down the creator of a prophetic manga.
- Episode #19 featured a bit of censorship that messed with Fuuko's character development, but hopefully, future episodes won't do the same.
With how the latest episode proceeded, Undead Unluck episode #20 has all the makings of a great continuation of what’s likely the final arc of the first season. There’s plenty of mystery and intrigue being set up for episode #20, and that makes the anticipation for its release all the higher.
What Time Undead Unluck Episode #20 Releases
Produced by david productions, based on the original manga by yoshifumi tozuka.
As with previous episodes, Undead Unluck is released exclusively on Hulu, which can be accessed through the website and the app. Assuming that there are no delays, Undead Unluck episode #20 should premiere on Friday, February 23, at 11:00 AM Pacific Time (PST) and 2:00 PM Eastern (EST) in the United States and at 7:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) in the United Kingdom .
What Happened In Undead Unluck Episode 19?
Juiz revealed important information leading into the end of season 1.
In Undead Unluck episode #19, " Undead + Unluck ", Juiz revealed that many of the story arcs in To You, From Me match the events the Union has gone through, implying that it was written with the prophetic artifact, G-Liner. As such, Juiz wanted Fuuko and Andy to find the original manuscript to confirm that and find the author, Anno Un, and figure out why some details had seemingly been left out. With the manuscript being at the manga’s publishing company, Shueisha, there was only one way to get to it: Fuuko had to write an original manga good enough for publication .
Undead Unluck: Every Under Negator & Their Abilities Explained
With help from Andy and the Union , Fuuko created the one-shot Undead + Unluck ; in a bit of meta humor, Fuuko's story is the same one-shot that Undead Unluck was adapted from. At Shueisha, Fuuko impressed an editor enough to get permission to look at To You, From Me 's manuscript, and the document being in Japanese confirmed that it was unaffected by the unification of language and thus truly was prophetic. Immediately after that, Anno Un called Shueisha, and Fuuko managed to convince him to meet her in Canada to discuss manga , which is the note episode #19 ended on.
Undead Unluck's Anime Ruined One Of Fuuko's Biggest Moments
Fuuko's character growth is stilted in the adaptation.
While Undead Unluck episode #19 was decent enough continuation of the series, it made an odd change to one of Fuuko's big moments from the manga. In the manga, Fuuko pulled a gun on the editor to talk to Anno Un, which was a good way of showing how assertive Fuuko had grown to be , but in the anime, Fuuko had Andy intimidate her. The anime might not have wanted to have someone pull out a gun in a workplace setting, but that censorship still robbed Fuuko of character development, so it would be great if future episodes didn't make similar changes.
Be sure to watch Undead Unluck episode #20 when it releases on February 23.

Summary [ ]
Tanjiro stops Zenitsu.
The sparrow of the yellow-haired Demon Slayer begs for Tanjiro 's help. He grabs him and pulls him away from the girl, asking if he cannot see she wants nothing to do with him. Suddenly, the boy notices that Tanjiro is also wearing a Demon Slayer Corps uniform. Tanjiro denies knowing him but the stranger remembers him from Final Selection.
Tanjiro pulling a girl off Zenitsu.
Tanjiro ignores him and tells the girl he was harassing that it was alright for her to return home, and she thanks him. Panicking, he yells that she couldn't leave as she " liked " him and they had to be married. He is responded to with a slap from her, and she starts beating him, prompting Tanjiro to hurry over and pull her off, asking her to calm down. She berates the stranger, stating that she never liked him and only talked to him because she thought he was wounded or sick when he lied on the side of the road. Shocked, he replies that he thought she was helping him out of love and worry. The girl angrily mentions it was impossible as she has a fiancé, stomping away and telling him he appeared fine now and hoped they would never met again.
Tanjiro chiding Zenitsu for his lack of shame.
Heartbroken, the Demon Slayer complains to Tanjiro about his interference, in which he receives a disgusted face as a reply. He demands him to not use that face as it looked like he was looking at him as some sort of creature, before blaming him for preventing his " marriage ." Again, Tanjiro only replies with the same face, much to his annoyance. He claims that he is about to die as he was weak, begging Tanjiro to protect him before he got married. Tanjiro doesn't respond and introduces himself, to which the Demon Slayer introduces himself as Zenitsu Agatsuma. Tanjiro starts chiding Zenitsu for his lack of shame, in which he replies that he was deceived by a woman and indebted, saved by his master but forced to train harshly every day, sorrowfully stating his dislike for his occupation. Tanjiro gives him his lunch and tells him he understands, but he should cause less trouble for his sparrow.
Tanjiro and Zenitsu arrive at the Tsuzumi Mansion.
Both Demon Slayers arrive at Tanjiro's assigned mission, a mansion in a mountain forest. Tanjiro smells blood from inside and Zenitsu hears an unusual sound, before they see two children huddled together at the edge of the forest. They try to approach them, but the children move away in fright. Noticing the fact that they were likely still in shock from something, Tanjiro entertains them with Zenitsu's sparrow, calming them down. The older child, tells Tanjiro that their older brother was kidnapped when they were walking in the night, and the kidnapper went into the house. Tanjiro praises him and his sister for following the monster, but the boy cries and said they followed his blood trail, upset that their older brother was hurt. Tanjiro soothes them and said he would defeat the monster and save their brother, much to their relief.
Zenitsu asking if Tanjiro can hear something.
Zenitsu suddenly retorts hearing a sound similar to a drum, expressing discomfort. Tanjiro replies that he couldn't hear a sound but is interrupted by a man flying out of the window, falling onto the ground. Tanjiro rushes over to check on him, alarmed at his deep wound. The man says he finally got out and asks if he was going to die, in which Tanjiro can only respond to with a hug. All of a sudden, a large sound comes out of the house, coming from a strange demon.
