The 10 Most Powerful Ghosts Danny Phantom Ever Fought
Most of the ghosts in Danny Phantom don't put up much of a threat, but other ghosts are much more threatening.
Danny Phantom was a cartoon that aired from 2004-2007. It was produced by Nickelodeon and was created by Butch Hartman, who also created The Fairly OddParents . With only three seasons, many fans believe that Danny Phantom when canceled before its time. However, the show makes up for it in high-quality episodes, featuring some great ghostly villains.

Danny Phantom began his ghost-hunting career at age 14 after being caught in one of his parents' ghostly experiments. That might seem rather young, but that's par for the course for teen superheroes. Every episode of Danny Phantom sees Danny and his friends, Sam and Tucker, going up against a slew of different ghosts and ghouls. Most of these ghosts don't put up much of a threat, but other ghosts are much more threatening.
10 Technus Has Potential To Be A Powerful Foe
Technus may be famous for his bad habit of loudly shouting out his plans for the whole world to hear. However, he can also be a fairly admirable foe when he puts his mind to it. Technus can control technology. This can be as innocent as possessing Mr. Lancer's razor, or it can be used to make himself a battle suit out of spare parts.

Unlike many of Danny's villains, Technus adapts and learns from his mistakes. He eventually reappears as Technus 2.0 and puts up more of a threat. Even if Danny beats Technus every time, he still causes him a significant amount of trouble and is a great enemy.
9 Skulker Is The Ghost Zone's Greatest Hunter
Skulker is one of Danny Phantom's most iconic enemies . He is an intelligent hunter who collects what he believes to be rare exhibits. With Danny being one of the few human-ghost hybrids in existence, Skulker has tried to capture him on numerous occasions.
Skulker is a very small ghost wearing a battle suit. However, this suit is equipped with weapons that give Skulker an edge. He produced several traps and weapons that captured Danny and canceled out his powers. He also used his ingenuity to steal Tucker's PDA and followed Danny's schedule to try to capture him. His master of different weaponry and skills as a hunter make Skulker a serious threat.
8 Ember Rocks The House
If Ember was smart, she would have stayed a rock star. "Remember" is catchy enough that she could have become pretty popular. However, that wasn't enough for her; she wanted to be a villain.
Ember can control the minds of anyone who listens to her music. They become obsessed with her and will do whatever she tells them to do. Ember gains more power as the crowds chant her name. Danny has gone up against her several times, even once being placed under a love spell by her. While Ember is a powerful foe, Danny was still able to defeat her every time.
7 Walker Has A Team Of Guards To Help Keep Order
Walker is the warden of the prison in the Ghost Zone. He is very strict and is a stickler for the rules. Danny first encounters Walker when a present from his dad to his mom accidentally gets lost in the Ghost Zone. When Danny goes in to retrieve it, Walker arrests him for possessing "contraband."
Walker has an entire prison full of guards who will follow his every command. Walker uses these forces to over-shadow people close to Danny. Eventually, Walker turns the whole town against Danny when he makes it look like Danny kidnaped the mayor. Because of this, Walker has caused lasting problems for Danny. Now, many of Amity Park's citizens no longer like him.
6 Desiree Fights Using Wishes
Desiree is a very tricky foe. She has the power to grant wishes. Unfortunately, when she grants the wish, she usually doesn't grant it the way the wisher intended. For instance, during a fight, Sam once wished that she had never met Danny. Desiree granted the wish, and Danny was no longer Danny Phantom.
RELATED: Nickelodeon: The 10 Best Crossovers, Ranked
Each wish that Desiree grants increases her power. This means that Danny can't just focus on the disasters left by the wishes, but he also has to deal with Desiree as she becomes more powerful. All these factors combined make her a very powerful villain.
5 The Fright Knight Makes For A Frightful Foe
Nothing good ever happens when Danny tries to cheat on an assignment. When Danny took the Fright Knight's sword, the Soul Shredder, and tried to use it to win a Halloween contest, it went disastrously wrong.
When the Fright Knight slices through someone with the sword, he sends them to a dimension where they see their worst fears. The Fright Knight is the servant of the Ghost King, Pariah Dark. Luckily, he changes sides at the end and helps seal him away. Were the Fright Knight to decide to attack Danny again, it would be a difficult fight.
4 Vlad Plasmius Is Danny Phantom's Archenemy
Vlad Masters was once a friend of Danny's parents. However, after an accident similar to Danny's, he too became a halfa known as Vlad Plasmius. Vlad has had a crush on Danny's mom for years, so he constantly tries to get her and Danny to come live with him. He even tried to create a clone of Danny that he could use to do his bidding.
Vlad is extremely intelligent and powerful thanks to having 20 years to perfect his ghostly abilities. Vlad will do just about anything to get his way — he even became Mayor of Amity Park.
3 Undergrowth Takes Protecting The Environment To New Levels
Undergrowth was angry with how humans were killing plants and destroying the environment. Unfortunately, his solution to this problem was to control the minds of Amity Park's citizens. To make matters worse, Undergrowth took a special interest in Sam and made her attack Danny. Not wanting to hurt his friend/crush, Danny didn't know what to do.
Luckily, at this same time, Danny also began to develop a new power over ice. Thanks to some training from Frostbite, Danny was able to master these new powers. However, if Danny hadn't received the ice powers when he did, he may not have been able to defeat Undergrowth at all.
2 Pariah Dark Is The Ghost King
Pariah Dark is the Ghost King and ruler of the Ghost Zone, though Nico di Angelo might have something to say about this title. Pariah Dark's possession of the Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire give him nearly limitless powers. Pariah Dark was imprisoned once before. Unfortunately, he escapes when Vlad tries to steal the ring and crown to make himself stronger.
RELATED: 5 Ways Cartoon Network Is Better Than Nickelodeon (& 5 Ways Nickelodeon Is)
Danny requires help from all of his ghostly allies to defeat Pariah. He also uses his dad's Ecto-Skeleton suit to give him a power boost, which nearly kills him. All of this combined allowed Danny to defeat the evil king, and bring order back to the Ghost Zone.
1 Danny Phantom's Strongest Foe Is Himself
Dark Danny is a Danny Phantom who has been turned evil after the death of his friends and family. He went to live with Vlad, who removed his ghost half to try to ease the pain of his loss. However, this backfires when the ghost Danny removes Vlad's ghost half and fuses with it, thus becoming Dark Danny. Sadly, Dark Danny's first evil act was murdering his human half.
In the future, Dark Danny is feared by humans and ghosts alike. Dark Danny tries to stop Danny from saving his friends and family, and with the same powers as Danny, he almost succeeds. It is only through sheer force of will, and the love of his friends and family, that Danny can stop him.

Going Ghost: 20 Danny Phantom Secrets That Make Our Eyes Green With Power
He's a phantom! He also stars in a show filled with strange tones and secrets. Here are 20 things about Danny Phantom fans totally missed!
When you think about cartoons during the 2000s, the first one to come to your mind would likely be Danny Phantom . This cartoons series gained quite the cult following when it came out. And now, over a decade later, people still talk about this show. There are even rumors of a new series starting up that follows Dannyâs adventures ten years later (we can only hope).
I can see why this cartoon would be popular. It had a unique premise, some pretty awesome characters, fun animation and coloring, and fairly strange themes. This was a cartoon that could be silly, but it could also be serious when it wanted to be.
But if you think about it, Danny Phantom is kind of a strange cartoon. Not so much in tone, but in premise and concept. After all, the show is centered around a boy who is half-human half-ghost, so the subject of passing comes up a lot more in this series than in your average cartoon. But there are a lot more elements to this show that are surprisingly strange.
And for many of us, these things didnât really occur to us as kids. The show was actually pretty good at glossing over some of the heavier stuff, but that doesnât change the fact that Danny Phantom wasnât afraid to go creepy.
So here are 20 secrets about Danny Phantom that you probably didnât realize. Think we missed some good ones? Make sure to let us know in the comments section below!
20 His Origins
You know, Nickelodeon kind of glossed over the whole accident that changed Danny Fenton into Danny Phantom. Yeah, the whole story gets told in the theme song and it talks about how his DNA got fused with ghost ectoplasm, but they kind of ignore the fact that this lab accident was extremely hard. And yet, you can hear Dannyâs scream to know he was not having a good time.
What you may not know is that Danny actually perished during that accident. But thanks to the ghost ectoplasm and the machine, he became part ghost. He may have gotten cool powers out of it, but they came at a pretty high price. Itâs a much weirder element to the TV series that they donât really talk about in great detail.
19 Gives A New Meaning To "At War With Yourself"
For the most part, Dannyâs human half and ghost half are on the same page because they are the same person. Heâs usually able to transform from ghost to human pretty easily, and thereâs not much distinction between the two. Until he tries to separate the two, and then things go very bad.
Imagine having half of you trying to eliminate the other half.
In an alternate future, after losing his family and friends, Danny tries to have Vlad remove his human half from his ghost half in order to stop feeling the pain. But things go wrong. Very wrong. His ghost half then removes the ghost half of Vlad, absorbs that, and then destroys Dannyâs human half. Imagine having half of you trying to eliminate the other half. This dark future did not end well for poor Danny.
18 Something's Up With This Guy
Vlad is probably the only other person like Danny, where heâs part human part ghost. And oddly enough, he also got his powers through a lab accident caused by Dannyâs father. (Maybe his parents shouldnât be around dangerous technology... ) But Vlad, also known as Plasmius, isnât as heroic as Danny. Quite the opposite, actually.
Whatâs weird about Vlad is not so much that heâs a villain, but his motivations behind becoming a villain. Vlad has two big goals: he wants to eliminate Dannyâs father in revenge, and he wants to marry Dannyâs mother. Seriously, this guy is a big creep who canât seem to let go of the past. He has gone through a couple of decades in his life feeling like heâs been cheated out of happiness that was rightfully his, and now heâs going to take it by force. Yeesh, just let it go, man.
17 A Tough Sister
You could argue that Jasmine Fenton, or Jazz, is probably the most normal person in this strange family. Sheâs incredibly smart, a little over-protective of Danny, and sheâs not afraid to speak her mind on things that matter to her. And while she doesnât like that her parents are ghost hunters, she will go in and take down ghosts if it means protecting her family.
If you think about it, Jazz is peeling layers off of a ghostâs skin.
And thatâs what she does when Spectra goes after Danny. But the method of how Jazz does it is kind of strange. Jazz dons a suit called the Fenton Peeler and proceeds to peel away layers of Spectraâs beauty, leaving her true appearance: an ugly old hag. But if you think about it, Jazz is peeling layers off of a ghostâs skin. She is way more hardcore than we give her credit for.
16 My Mind Is Not My Own
Mind control is always a creepy thing in any show. The idea that someone is making you do things beyond your control can be all kinds of weird. And it happens a few times in Danny Phantom. The most notable and creepy one is when the ghost Freakshow decides to have fun with our favorite teen ghost hero.
In his first appearance, Freakshow puts Danny under his control and makes him do his bidding, like steal stuff, commit crimes, etc. But whatâs creepy is when Sam confronts the two, Freakshow makes Danny almost destroy Sam. She manages to snap Danny out of it, but thereâs a moment where youâre wondering if Samâs going to bite the dust. Plus, seeing Danny, whoâs normally this dorky and noble hero, turn into something a bit more demented is seriously weird.
15 Who Even Came Up With These Flowers?
This show definitely went to some places. It did pretty much everything except show blood. For example, did you know that Vlad mistreated Danny in one episode? Well, more like he knowingly caused Danny intense pain in order to gain something out of it.
Vlad shoves Danny into a circle of Blood Blossoms, which traps him and harms him.
There are things called Blood Blossoms, a type of flower that is apparently excruciatingly painful to ghosts should they touch them. At one point, Vlad shoves Danny into a circle of Blood Blossoms, which traps him and harms him. Granted, he does this to basically get rid of Danny so he can take the Infi-map, an object he wanted for his own designs. But he basically shoved Danny into a situation, knowing it would cause him excruciating pain, and then left him to suffer. Thatâs just cold, Vlad.
14 Sam's Actions
Despite her appearance and indifferent demeanor, Sam does care a lot about quite a few things. Sheâs a big activist for animal rights, sheâs always fighting against injustice, and sheâs not afraid to speak out if she thinks something is wrong. But we never really see her as particularly violent.
But at one moment, Sam rips off the head of a teddy bear at the Gothapalooza. And it turns out that all of the teddy bears were actually goth kids who had been transformed (ghost shenanigans, this probably isnât even the weirdest thing to happen). So, Sam basically ripped someoneâs head off. I wonder if that poor goth kid still lost their head, or if when everything went back to normal, their head was intact? We may never know.
13 The Ghost Child
Considering we usually only saw ghosts whenever they were attacking Amity Park, we donât really know much about what they do during their downtime. And we donât know a ton about how they interact with each other. But they do, and some are friends, and some are more than that.
Apparently, ghosts can get it on and they can have kids.
In the episode âUltimate Enemy,â we find out a bit of slightly strange information. Apparently, ghosts can get it on and they can have kids. The proof is the ghost Lunchbox, a ghost who is the child of the Lunch Lady and the Box Ghost. While Iâm not going to judge a ghostâs personal business, itâs kind of a creepy concept that ghosts can reproduce. How does that even work? Never mind, I donât think I want to know.
12 This Guyâs Got The Power (No, Really)
At first glance, Ghost Writer may seem like a throwaway character. He does show up only in a couple of episodes, and one of them was a holiday special. Compared to other ghosts that Danny fights, Ghost Writer doesnât seem all that intimidating. But heâs a lot more powerful than you may think.
Ghost Writer has control over reality itself, and he can manipulate it however he wants through his stories. If you think about it, that makes him incredibly powerful. Now, he only uses the power to write his stories and antagonize Danny a bit, so I guess heâs still not that dangerous. But if he wanted to, Ghost Writer could totally take over the world and no one could do much about it. Maybe Danny should stay on his good side for a bit.
11 His Own Worst Enemy
Danny has quite a few enemies and they range from being annoying to downright terrifying. And weâve had quite the variety of ghosts, from the child ghost that just wanted to play, to an otherworldly horror bent on taking over the ghost zone. But the most terrifying enemy that Danny has likely faced is himself.
Dannyâs darker self is seriously scary.
The concept of going up against a dark version of yourself is nothing new. A lot of people are fascinated by the idea of the hero going dark. But Dannyâs darker self is seriously scary. Dark Danny, also known as Dan Phantom, is the ghost half of Danny that merged with Plasmius and then destroyed Dannyâs human half. This guy is a full-blown psychopath and raged terror on both humans and ghosts for years. You donât want to go up against him.
10 Family Ties
There are quite a few strange things in Danny Phantom; you canât really avoid it with the premise of the show. But thereâs one element that tends to get played off a bit for laughs thatâs actually seriously weird. And thatâs Dannyâs parents and their obsession with hunting ghosts.
Dannyâs parents are unaware that Danny is part ghost. So, they have no idea that Danny Phantom is actually their son. Whatâs horrifying is that his parents want to capture and dissect Danny Phantom. They see him as a dangerous enemy that should be captured and studied/destroyed. So, they basically are trying to harm and eliminate their own son. It is just shown for comedy, but itâs a pretty creepy concept. Like poor Danny doesnât have enough to deal with.
9 Vlad, Leave The Guy Alone
Weâve established that Vlad is a pretty creepy person in general who canât tell the difference between love and hate apparently. In the beginning, Vladâs big goal was to win the heart of Maddie, Dannyâs mom, and get rid of his dad. But as time progresses, we see Vlad grow pretty attached to Danny as well.
He becomes just as obsessed with Danny as he was with Maddie.
In fact, Vlad brings up the idea of becoming Dannyâs new father, saying heâs a much better fit and that he can even help Danny with his powers. Pretty soon he becomes just as obsessed with Danny as he was with Maddie. Seriously dude, stop being a creep. Whatâs even creepier is that many fans like to ship these two, which is all kinds of unhealthy. This guy should not be dating anyone, especially a teenage boy.
8 Half Here, Half There
Danny does have some pretty cool powers. Since heâs part ghost, he can do all kinds of cool stuff like disappear, fly, phase through walls, throw ectoplasmic blasts, and more. But thereâs actually a kind of weird element to his very nature.
The fact is, Danny is technically half deceased. Since he is half ghost, part of him is literally deceased. If we want to get even creepier, we could say that his ghost half is possessing his deceased body. Since he did actually perish during that lab accident that gave him his powers, this isnât a far-fetched idea. The point is, no one really knows just what Danny is. Heâs human, but heâs also a ghost. Heâs alive, yet heâs deceased. Itâs all really creepy if you think about it.
7 This Teen Packs A Punch
We know that Danny has quite a few awesome abilities as a half ghost. But I think we forget just how powerful this teen actually is. Heâs so powerful that a lot of the ghosts are kind of afraid of him. And letâs not forget that the dark version of him took over Amity Park easily.
Heâs so powerful that a lot of the ghosts are kind of afraid of him.
Letâs take a look at his skills. Besides the usual ghostly stuff of phasing through objects, flying, and disappearing, Danny has a few other special abilities. He can blast ghosts with ectoplasmic energy, he can make shields, he can redirect electric attacks at his opponents, he can use his ecto-energy to make himself stronger, and he can do the famous ghostly wail. All of these abilities can cause a lot of damage to ghosts and humans. This kid is not someone you should anger.
6 Ghosts Have Feelings Too!
When it comes to the ghosts of Amity Park, we tend to think of them as another "villain of the week," another obstacle for Danny to overcome. And to a degree, thatâs kind of what they are. They are challenges that help Danny grow. But we also forget that these ghosts were actually once people too.
In fact, practically every enemy Danny has (besides the Guys in White) is either deceased or half deceased. But these ghosts were once people with their own lives. And theyâve all perished in various ways, from something normal like a heart attack, to something tragic like a freak accident. Itâs a little sad and pretty strange when you think about it. I donât think many kids shows have this much pain and turmoil surrounding the premise.
5 Heâs Still Just A Kid
We donât really forget that Danny is a teenager throughout the series; the fact that he deals with problems at school just as much as he deals with ghost problems makes sure of that. Half the struggles Danny has is dealing with humans as well as ghosts. But I think we forget just how young Danny actually is.
This isn't some older teenager we're talking about here.Â
At the start of the series, Danny is fourteen. Yeah, when we think teenager we tend to think around 16 or 17. But while Danny is a teenager, heâs a young teenager, and heâs still very much a kid in some ways. Thatâs what makes all these things that happen to him that much more horrifying. This isnât an older teenager thatâs getting attacked, hunted, and hurt. This is a kid whoâs just barely entered the teen stage. Danny, you are stronger than we give you credit for.
4 How Do You Cope?
Can you imagine losing everything and everyone you ever loved? Thatâs a pretty strange concept for a cartoon, and yet Danny Phantom did it. Though it was one of those âdark alternate futureâ scenarios. In this situation, Danny loses his family and his friends due to a freak explosion at the Nasty Burger.
Whatâs even crazier about this situation is this is what catalyzes Dannyâs transformation into Dan Phantom, the evil version of Danny. But even without that, this whole idea is pretty horrifying, especially for a kidsâ show. To lose everyone you ever loved and cared about would be completely devastating, and we see it in Danny. This Danny was completely broken, and it was really hard to see him like that. Man, Nickelodeon doesnât mess around.
3 He Didnât Get Much Time To Train
Most heroes with crazy powers usually have a little time to get the feel of their powers before they start fighting the good fight. And in some cases, they go through crazy amounts of training in order to hone their skills. But not Danny. This kid has been learning on the fly from day one.
This kid has been learning on the fly from day one.
What you may not know is that Danny only had his powers for a month before he fought ghosts for the first time. A month. Can you imagine? And this kid hadnât been training or anything; he was mostly focused on trying to keep his powers under control and not alert anybody to his new abilities. But itâs thanks to that first fight that he found his calling. So, I guess it was a good thing. But man, Danny is either seriously talented or just incredibly lucky to have lasted as long as he has.
2 The Hunter
Most of the ghosts do have it out for Danny for one reason or another. The most common one was that he stopped them from having their fun, and now they want revenge. Or in Vladâs case, he wants Danny to join up with him. But there is one ghost that had a more sinister plan in mind for Danny.
Skulker is a famous hunter ghost that loves to hunt rare animals. And he wanted to hunt Danny since Danny is a rarity, being half human and half ghost. Whatâs truly weird about Skulker is the fact that he tells Danny he wants to hunt him and hang his pelt at the foot of his bed. So he basically wanted to end Danny and put him on his bed. Okay, thatâs just messed up.
1 A Perfect Plan
Weâve established the Vlad has a rather unhealthy obsession with Danny that leads to him to want to become Dannyâs new father. Practically every time he and Danny fight, he is trying to persuade the ghost teen to join up with him. But things donât stop there.
His plan was to make a clone and then eliminate the original Danny.
Vlad takes it a step further and attempts to clone Danny. His plan was to make a clone and then eliminate the original Danny. The attempts donât really work, but he then creates Dani, a little female clone of Danny, who he then tries to use to take Danny down and then eventually rejects. Seriously, this guy is so messed up and so desperate to be Dannyâs father that he tried to create a clone of him and then destroy him. Vlad, youâve got some serious problems.

"I'm going ghost!" — Danny 's Invocation for transforming
Danny Phantom is an animated Superhero series created by Butch Hartman (of The Fairly OddParents! fame) for Nickelodeon .
First airing overseas in 2003, the United States in 2004 and running until 2007, the series revolves around the adventures of 14-year-old Danny Fenton, the son of professional ghost hunters. ( No , not those . Or those .) While generally less than competent, his parents' engineering skill is phenomenal, leading to inventions such as the Fenton Portal , a machine that opens up a path to the " Ghost Zone ", an odd kind of afterlife where, like in its spiritual predecessor , ghosts are both beings of the dead and creatures originally from that other dimension . Danny explores the portal and accidentally activates it , imbuing his molecular structure with ectoplasmic energy .
Now with a set of formidable ghost powers, Danny eventually decides to use them to protect humanity from various spectral threats. Unfortunately, since most of the town (including his own parents) fears and hates ghosts, Danny has to keep his Danny Phantom identity and his ghost powers secret. Fortunately, his best friends, Sam and Tucker (and his sister Jazz, who quietly knows Danny's secret as well), are his constant companions, who give him vital practical and emotional support in his self-appointed role.
It's pretty much Spider-Man if he was a ghost superhero.
Halfway through the airing of the second season, Butch Hartman announced the series would end with a shortened, 12-episode third season. Dedicated fans orchestrated various petitions and small organizations to overturn the decision , but, despite these protests, the production of Danny Phantom finished in February 2007, with no plans for future episodes. Despite this, Danny Phantom now maintains a cult following that regularly calls for a series revival, with Hartman being one of the most vocal about this.
On July 18, 2023, a graphic novel based titled Danny Phantom: A Glitch in Time was released. Written by Gabriela Epstein, A Glitch in Time takes place some time after the Grand Finale and sees Danny and friends forced to work together with Vlad to stop Dark Danny, with the time-displaced entity's escape also causing time itself to unravel.

New danny phantom adventure continues story of nickelodeon's best hero.
Danny Phantom's "Going Ghost" for the first time in 15 years in a brand-new graphic novel from Gabriela Epstein, due for release next summer.
Ghostly hero Danny Phantom is officially making a comeback in a new graphic novel that continues the story of Nickelodeon 's best superhero. For years, Nickelodeon hasn't been afraid to throw its hat into the ring when it comes to the superhero genre. A lot of its iconic TV shows have had a hero of some kind to either spoof popular characters or create new ones with a unique twist. Some of Nikelodeon's most notable names have included the Crimson Chin from The Fairly Oddparents , Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy from SpongeBob Squarepants and even Aang from Avatar the Last Airbender , who changed the game on what a superhero could be. However, one hero made waves on the network when his show aired, and after 15 years of silence, he's finally coming back. Danny Phantom was a 2004-2007 TV series by Fairly OddParents creator Butch Hartman. The show followed Danny Fenton, the son of two ghost hunters who create a portal into a dimension called the Ghost Zone. When the device doesn't work initially, Danny suits up and goes into the machine to figure out what's wrong... only to accidentally activate it and gain new powers. His ghost-like abilities include phasing, flight and possession, with several new powers being unlocked as the series progressed. From there, the show served as both a satire of superheroes and a sincere story that won fans over and led to a petition for its revival after the show's three-season run. The show originally ended in 2007 with the TV special "Phantom Planet," but the iconic characters now have a new story to tell. Related: Danny Phantom Creator Reacts To Fan-Made 3D CGI Remake Of Show's Intro Recently, Gabriela Epstein announced on Twitter that a new graphic novel starring Danny Phantom is in development. Written and drawn by Epstein, the graphic novel's newly revealed cover features Danny and his friends Tucker and Sam with nemeses Vlad Masters and Danny's evil adult self, Dark Danny, in the background. The title, A Glitch in Time , sets up what could be Danny's greatest adventure yet and a welcome return for the ghostly hero. Distributor Abrams Books summarizes the new story by stating that it will explore time travel as the group " jump through time and space and unlock secrets of the Ghost Zone " to find Dark Danny and put a stop to his evil plans.
Not only has this story been confirmed to be a direct follow-up to the original series' finale, it also appears to be a sequel to one of Danny Phantom 's best episodes. 'The Ultimate Enemy' saw the first appearance of Dark Danny and instantly became a favorite among fans for its darker tone. Stakes were raised higher than any episode that came before it with lives on the line as Danny was forced to confront his more powerful self from the future . This episode also saw the debut of one of Danny's signature moves, the Ghostly Wail, which can deal a devastating blow at the cost of Danny's energy, sometimes even knocking him out of his ghost form. Fans of the series will be excited to see a follow-up to this classic story and how the newer Danny will measure up to his darker half now that he's had far more experience and matches up to him in power.
Danny Phantom: A Glitch in Time is expected to hit bookstores on July 18, 2023. It's currently unknown whether original series creator Butch Hartman has any involvement in the project. Regardless, it'll be a great way for fans new and old to return to the world of everyone's favorite ghostly hero. Whether this is a one-off stroll down memory lane or the start of a new long-awaited reboot for Nickelodeon 's best hero, it's going to be amazing to see Danny Phantom soaring through the skies again.
Look for Danny Phantom: A Glitch in Time in stores on July 18, 2023, from Abrams Books.

Will arnett: ghost writer, quotes .
[the poem is closing with its last lines]
Danny Fenton : [narrating] And then I thought, maybe this is the moral. / In the same way my folks loved their old Christmas quarrel. / Everyone celebrates in the way of their choosing. / I was so busy whining, I started abusing / The ones I loved most and I ruined their cheer. /
[smiles]
Danny Fenton : I'll try to be better, come Christmas next year.
[thus ends the poem; Danny, Sam, Jazz and Tucker gather together at the last page which says "The End."]
Samantha "Sam" Manson : Um, nice sentiment, but what are you, a greeting card?
Tucker Foley : Yeah, why are you talking in rhyme?
Jazz Fenton : Such a dork.
Danny Fenton : [realizing] We're not talking in rhyme?
[starts getting jubliant]
Danny Fenton : We're not talking in rhyme!
[the book closes, and Ghost Writer is glad his new poem is finished. A cell mate inches close to him as he wants to look at the new book he has completed, but Ghost Writer turns away from him]
Walker : [greets him] Orange?
Ghost Writer : [scared] Aahh! Get that thing away from me!
[Danny flies to the Jewish Manson home, hoping Sam won't put the blame on him for attacking Christmas]
Danny Fenton : [in joy] Sam!
Ghost Writer : Danny said.
Danny Fenton : [to Ghost Writer] Oh, for crying out loud!
Samantha "Sam" Manson : I know. Can't you see we're all under a cloud? / Every present we had, in the chimney up through it! / That might work for you, but that's not how we do it!
Ghost Writer : And Sam saw sad faces on Mom, Dad, and Granny, / So I typed on my keyboard that the blame was on Danny!
[Ghost Writer conrtols Sam by her anger]
Samantha "Sam" Manson : [angrily] You! You did this?
Danny Fenton : [shouts] Are you out of your mind?
Samantha "Sam" Manson : [shouts] You're the holiday scrooge! Do you think that I'm blind?
Ghost Writer : And Danny and Sam found themselves in a spat. / But before Dan could calm her, I soon realized that / A new threat was needed to cut through the noise; / And what better way than attack of the toys?
[Ghost Writer brings all the toys from each building to attack the town, then starts forming them together. Danny and Sam stop and go outside to look at this scenery; Danny turns into Danny Phantom to find out what's going on]
Ghost Writer : From all over the town, the toys started to merge! / I'm really quite weakened when I get the urge! / On this night before Christmas, a brand new attacker! / And now, face the wrath of my monster nutcracker!
[the controlled toys form a giant Nutcracker, which comes to life and attacks]
Danny Phantom : [surprised] Aw, nuts!
[he starts running away from the monster]
Ghost Writer : Danny cried, as he started to run. /
[pauses]
Ghost Writer : Must we end every scene with a terrible pun?
[Danny Phantom has accidentally destroyed the poem Ghost Writer has created]
Danny Phantom : Oops! Uh, Sorry, man, it was a total accident.
Ghost Writer : Oops?
[angrily]
Ghost Writer : Oops? Do you have any idea what you've done?
Danny Phantom : Well... not really, uh, hence the "accident" part.
Ghost Writer : You've destroyed my greatest work! And that was my only copy!
[Danny picks up a page of the book from the destroyed pieces and reads it]
Danny Phantom : The Fright Before Christmas? I destroyed a Christmas poem? Awesome!
Ghost Writer : What?
Danny Phantom : Dude, I am sick of Christmas! I came to the Ghost Zone to get away from it. I might not have meant to destroy your stupid book, but that doesn't mean I'm not okay with it.
[destroys the page from the book he was reading]
[Ghost Writer has trapped Danny Phantom inside a new poem, which begins its first lines]
Ghost Writer : On the day before Christmas, in Amity Park, / Almost all there were cheery, yet one soul was dark.
Danny Fenton : Hey, that voice? It's the ghost whose book I destroyed. /
[looks around]
Danny Fenton : Wait! I'm trapped in this poem? Now I'm really annoyed!

Danny Phantom Creator Would Want Tom Holland to Play the Character in Live-Action
There are other actors not pushing their 30s, y'know..
Butch Hartman, the creator of the hit Nickelodeon show Danny Phantom, revealed that, if there ever is a live-action Danny Phantom movie, he wants Spider-Man actor Tom Holland to play the teenage ghost.
During a panel at MegaCon (via ComicBook ), a fan asked Hartman who he'd like to portray Danny Fenton.
"Tom Holland, all the way," Hartman said. "It's got to be Tom Holland."
Danny Phantom originally aired on Nickelodeon back in 2007. The show follows a 14-year-old boy named Danny Fenton who, after having his molecules rearranged by his parent's ghost portal, is gifted an array of supernatural powers. Danny's powers allowed him to phase through walls, disappear, and fly among other things. Throughout the show's three-year run, Danny and his friends would solve a myriad of misadventures capturing ghosts and sending them back into the Ghost Dimension.
The panel comes months before Danny Phantom's 20th anniversary in April. Although it has been years since the Nickelodeon show's final episode aired, fans have been long clamoring for the sci-fi cartoon to make a return, whether it be in the form of an animated continuation or in live-action. Fortunately, Danny Phantom has made a comeback of sorts with his recent appearance as a playable character in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 .
It should be noted, that as of the time of publication, Holland is a crisp 27 years old. Meaning, that by the time any Hollywood gears would hypothetically start to turn toward making Hartman's dream casting a reality, the Marvel actor would be comfortably in his 30s by then. Safe to say, "I'm going ghost, fellow kids" wouldn't be as catchy a phrase as one might hope.

Olive_of_vanders, chapter 20 : new bond.
Let's just ignore I haven't updated this since August- Hope you enjoy this!! I was inspired to update this again by finemeal's dpXatsv fic "Ghost Spider Meets a Ghost"!
Chapter Text
Miguel listened to the footsteps get closer to his office with trepidation. Worry gnawed at him as they got closer, chipping away at his hope as he heard his other children slowly come closer to meeting their older brother. Noir, he noticed, was leaning into the shadows, using his monochromatic appearance to his advantage.
"Hey Miguel!" Miles called out as he led the group into the office. He paused when he saw the familiar black and white mask of Spiderman Noir. "Oh hey Noir, I didn't realize you were visiting!" Miles waved awkwardly as Hobie chuckled.
"Sup mate,â Hobie nodded, waving towards his fellow anti-establishment Spider. Noir nodded back at Hobie and gave a stiff wave in Milesâ direction.
Miguel knew the awkward wave meant Noir was nervous, but the awkward look on Milesâ, and by extension Danny's face, didn't calm his nerves at all.
"Who's this?" Jazz asked cautiously as she eyed the new spider she didn't know. She raised an eyebrow at him, his appearance reminded her of an old movie they would sometimes play at the old drive-in theater she would sneak Danny and herself into. A black and white picture, standing in front of her with painfully real movement.
"This is Noir, he's the first kid I took in," Miguel informed as he swiped away notes from the G.I.W., hoping the kids didn't notice what was on the screen.
"So what? He's our brother?" Danny asked curiously as he peered at Noir from over Miles' shoulder.
"That'd be me. I'm guessing you're the walking stiff and you're his sister?" Noir questioned as he stared down at them from the platform.
"Don't call him a stiff," Miguel sighed deeply as he stared at his oldest son.
"Why not? He bit the bullet, didn't he?" Noir asked as he tilted his head down at Danny, who shifted back slightly to hide behind Miles at the inquisitive gaze staring into him.
"Half the bullet," Miguel corrected with a sigh, staring at Noir with a raised eyebrow. His eldest son nodded, humming in thought as his eyebrows pinched under his mask as he tried to process the idea of half dying.
"Nice to meet you, though I don't think the big man will like us taking over his office. How about we go somewhere else?" Noir suggested, jumping down from the platform and in front of the group. Miles grinned at one of the first spiders he's ever met, agreeing as Hobie nodded stiffly.
Peter watched with amusement as Miles dragged the rest out of Miguel's office, a hint of sadness entering his gaze as he watched Jazz stagger behind with uncertainty until she steeled herself, as if waiting for something bad to happen.
"What did you find out?" Peter asked as he rocked Mayday slightly, his gaze focused on Miguel's hunched shoulders before they drifted to his haunted eyes.
"It wasn't anything good," Miguel admitted quietly as he brought up the files again, expanding them so Peter could read it while he used his web shooter to be on the platform.
Peter sighed as he walked next to Miguel, placing a hand on his friend's shoulder as a way to comfort him while he read the file in front of his eyes.
Subject Phantom (previously known as Project DF ) and Project JF have gone missing. Project Phantom is assumed to have gotten help, though it is uncertain from where as SM and TF have confirmed that Phantom didn't know about JF's position.
However there were theories that Valerie Grey (VG) also known as Red Huntress was involved with the escape of project JF since she lives in Elmerton and was not made aware of the plans for Amity Park before departing from the town. However, once questioned, her involvement was ruled out. The Agents are keeping security detail on her, in case she is able to contact Project Phantom. Project VP/VM was also unaware of JF's position or the G.I.W.'s plans. He was captured after the questioning and is under current testing.
Agent J and Agent M, the handlers of Project Phantom, admit to the project disappearing for hours on end and thought he was just 'patrolling' Amity Park.
More data is to be collected, as the ectoplasm is becoming more unstable and has taken priority.
"Their world is collapsing," Peter sighed at the last line. He glanced towards Miguel, who nodded gravely.
"Their world has become too unstable to travel to,â he stated, "Their world is doomed,â he mumbled under his breath as he brought up the readings from Earth-DP. Peter winced, seeing the high spike of error , which was surprising. Most worlds collapsed due to anomalies, but for an error to occur meant that there was multiple worlds melding into each other, constantly changing the world they're living in until it snapped.
" Shit, " Peter cursed as he covered Mayday's ears, watching as the graph suddenly took a deep plunge and became zero. Peter felt himself tense as Miguel's claws screeched as they dug into his unit, creating an awful sound of metal being torn apart.
"Oh noâŠ" Peter frowned, placing a hand on Miguel's shoulder. "How will you tell them?" he asked quietly as he looked at the graph. Their world was dead.
A universe, gone.
"I'll tell them later, let them enjoy their day," Miguel whispered as he slowly dislodged his claws from the metal.
Peter sighed, his gaze turning to his daughter. His miracle kid, the blessing that came with his second â more like thousandth â chance with MJ.
He could never imagine losing her or MJ.
Danny raised an eyebrow at his newest sibling, Noir. He seemed eccentric but withdrawn. He noticed the way Noir eyed the other Spider-people with cautious eyes, as if waiting for them to jump at him like a spooked jumping spider.
"So, what do you want to do?" he asked Noir, glancing at Hobie with a questioning look. Hobie gave a slight frown, eyes flickering away to the surrounding spiders and shook his head as if he was disappointed in them.
Oh. Seems like the nice itsy bitsy spiders aren't as nice as they appear to be â Danny knew some of them were bad or morally grey, but wasn't it a whole Spider-person's so-called 'hero gig' to help others?
Huh. Hypocrites.
âHow about we watch something? Or go to the store again?â Miles suggested, âmaybe we could go to someone's universe and chill there?â he hummed as he looked around for inspiration.
âWhy don't we let the siblings bond, yeah?â Hobie suggested, âMe ân sunflower can go watch a movie or something while you all chat or whatever,â Hobie wrapped his arm around Milesâ shoulder and shot Noir, Jazz and Danny a grin.
Danny chuckled slightly at the sight of a wide-eyed Miles floundering Hobie's arm and agreed.
âYeah, sure,â Danny glanced at Jazz and Noir, âif you two want to? Jazz? Noir?â he asked, watching as Jazz glanced at Noir before she nodded. Noir just shrugged.
âSounds nifty, but let's start heading before they decide to neck each other,â Noir mused, mostly to himself since it seemed only Hobie understood him. The other anti-establishment Spider looked amused by his teasing where Miles, Danny and Jazz looked confused.
âWe'll be out of your hair,â Hobie mused, pulling Miles away, âWe'll catch up with ya later, yeah?â he called out as they walked away.
Jazz huffed in amusement when she heard Miles ramble about showing Hobie his new art piece in the distance.
âWhat should we do?â Danny asked, glancing around at the nearby Spiders and noticing they all seemed to be âdiscreetlyâ watching Noir.
âI think we should scram,â Noir said as he moved his head to look around, eyeing the Spiders around him.
âWe could go to the house? We have to drop off our shipping anyway,â Danny suggested, glancing towards the other Spiders with a suspicious glare. He tolerated some of them â not many of them, since Miguel hasn't learned through his âyou're ruining the multiverseâ rant when they first met â and he only tolerated those he knew. He knew a little bit about Noir from the others but for him to be treated with this much suspicion grated his nerves. What did he even do to get stared at like this? Nothing bad if Miguel adopted him!
âI think that's a good idea,â Jazz eyed the Spiders glancing at them with discomfort, âWe can see how our bedrooms turned out and drop off our stuff,â Jazz said with a slight smile, but Danny knew what she was going to say â we all really want to get away from this uncomfortable attention.
âI think that's a good idea,â Noir said as he nodded, walking forward and quickly leaving the area.
Danny walked beside Jazz, keeping an eye on her in case she felt dizzy or tired. Jazz kept glancing towards his hands, frowning when she noticed they were shaking. She reached out lightly, her hand open for Danny to hold if he needed help. He shook his head, his handsâ muscles spasming when he tried to close them. She let her hand fall by her side again and glanced at him with concern, Danny shot her a reassuring smile that she didn't seem to believe.
Noir found the elevator first, standing outside of it and pressing the button to call it as he anxiously tapped his foot against the floor. It could be viewed as impatience, if it wasn't for the fact that Noir's hand, that wasn't pressing the button, was balled in a fist and tapping the side of his thigh in the same beat his foot tapped the floor.
âYou okay?â Danny asked quietly as the elevator arrived and they all piled into it.
âI'll be right as rain in no time,â Noir said before he sighed, âThey all think I'm âout of timeâ and aren't comfortable with that, they think I'm like those drugstore cowboys that bump gums with the rich and sneer at those less fortunate. A âproduct of the timeâ, is what they call me and they don't like my time,â Noir grumbled as they descended to the ground level.
âWell, they're idiots to judge you on where you're from - it's like saying Hobie is a tory because he's British,â Danny shook his head at the thought. âGeneralising someone because of where they're from is poor behavior from people from different dimensions, â Danny clicked his tongue in disappointment.
âDid you read my psychology books?â Jazz raised an eyebrow at him.
âI got bored and missed you,â Danny grumbled under his breath. Jazz let out a small laugh before wrapping her arms around Danny. She stayed silent, waiting for Danny to pull away, and when she did she gave an awkward smile to Noir.
Noir just nodded at her. She had a feeling that this was his easiest way of communicating anything with his mask on, so she didn't question it.
âCome on, let's get to the house,â Jazz spoke, eyeing the controls as there was the familiar orange that Lyla was made of glinted off of them.
âOkay,â Danny nodded with a wide smile, âI ordered a lot of space stuff, so I hope it all fits,â Danny chuckled nervously as Jazz grinned at the thought of her brother's room covered in space.
Noir hummed, âSpace has a lot of colors, doesn't it?â he asked as the doors of the elevator opened. They all left it, standing in front of it as they came to a stop.
âYep!â Danny chirped with a wide smile.
âI look forward to seeing it,â Noir said before turning away from them and towards the city, âI'll swing through the city to avoid suspicion,â he stated as he walked forward with his arms ready to swing.
âOkay, see you at the house, Noir!â Jazz chirped as he swung away.
Jazz waited a few moments.
âWant to see if we could get there first?â she asked with a smirk, her eyes flashing green. Danny chuckled, his eyes flashing green black before he knelt in front of Jazz. She quickly got onto his back in a piggyback.
âDid you get taller?â Jazz asked with disbelief as Danny stood up.
âYou're just noticing now?â Danny chuckled as he turned them both invisible and started to race off in the direction of Miguel's house â their new home.
Danny knew being free of the weight of the crown would allow him to use some of the energy he once used to maintain that suffocating leash into letting him grow. He has gotten taller, not as much as he'd like since he was still healing from the revelation his life was a lie, but it took a lot of mental concentration to change one's form and being plagued with the thoughts he has been recently dealing with make it harder to concentrate.
Danny let out a soft, inaudible sigh, but continued the face by flying in the sky while being mindful not to jostle Jazz too much.
They arrived at the house at the same time as Noir, making the Spider jump when they suddenly became visible.
âHey! We made it around the same time,â Danny chuckled as he crouched to let Jazz down. She hopped off and waved at Noir.
âWe wanted to see if we could beat you here,â she shrugged while giving Noir a smile.
â You wanted to race!â Danny retorted while rolling his eyes.
âI would never, â Jazz stuck her tongue out at Danny, who then stuck his tongue out at her.
Noir chuckled in amusement, which broke them out of their competition and they both gave Noir a sheepish smile.
âLet's go inside, shall we?â Danny suggested, pausing when he remembered he didn't have the key card.
Noir stepped forward, pulling a keycard out of his trench coat pocket, and swiping it.
The door opened.
âThanks! I completely forgot about the keycard being needed,â Danny admitted sheepishly as Noir walked inside. He let Jazz walk inside before him and he walked in last, closing the door behind him.
âI forget too, until I'm in front of the door,â Noir admitted, âThis place is very different to home, so it takes some getting used to,â Noir said as he walked towards the stairs, only to pause and walk towards a door that once led to the gym.
Noir opened it, expecting the gym he's only seen used once, only to be greeted by a pink and purple room. There were posters on the wall that related to biology and there was a teddy bear on the bed.
âOh! That's Jazz's room,â Danny announced with a grin. Jazz walked towards it with wide eyes, a small smile finding its way on her face as she stared at the canopy and the bookshelf bursting with books.
âI love it,â Jazz smiled before looked towards the stairs and winced. âI might stay here, but take a picture of your room,â Jazz said as she sat on her bed, sighing in relief at the feeling of a firm mattress and the thick blankets on it. She placed her bags on the floor beside her bed, she'll sort them out later.
âWill do,â Danny promised with a determined grin.
âVery colourful,â Noir spoke as he looked around the room, âand informative. An amazing choice,â Noir said as he looked towards the bookshelf and educational posters.
âThanks, Noir. I hope you to have fun upstairs,â she smiled, wincing at the slight fatigue and dizziness she felt.
âWe'll try, rest well,â Noir stared at her for a moment before turning his attention to Danny. âUpstairs?â he asked, walking towards the stairs.
âIt's where the office used to be,â Danny said after he waved at Jazz and caught up with Noir.
Noir nodded. That made sense, Miguel was hardly home anyways since he spent more time in the headquarter's lab-office he had.
When they reached the top of the stairs and opened the door, Noir was met with a thousand different constellations and colours. There was a lava lamp with a nebula effect on, most likely running off batteries since there was no chord, and glittery stars everywhere. There was a plushie of Miguel's spidersuit propped up against the star covered pillows and tucked underneath a cozy blanket.
Danny felt himself grin before his eyes fell onto three pins on the bed. He placed his bags down next to his bed before he focused on the pins again. A sunflower, a star and a guitar pic pin. He picked them up with shaky hands, placing the guitar pic and sunflower in his pocket but placing the star next to his sun pin on his hoodie, over his heart.
He felt himself smile at the pin Hobie gave him. Was pin gifting going to be their love language? He mused with an amused huff.
âThis place the bee's knees,â Noir spoke up, âIt's not too overwhelming, but it subtly colourful,â Noir decided to say with the affirmitive nod of his head.
âThanks Noir! Glad you like it,â Danny grinned before tilting his head, âDo you have a room here?â Danny asked, getting a nod from Noir.
Noir walked out of Danny's room and down the hallway, turning to the left at the last second. Noir's door was hidden by a sudden corner, Danny realised as he followed. Noir opened the door and he felt himself smile.
It was full of colour, from rainbow flags to funky patterns in all colours on everything â something not even the floor or bed frame were safe from â and had a general vibe of fun and colourful, as well as vaguely like an acid trip came to life.
âYour room is so colourful!â Danny gaped, âIt's so cool, I love all the designs,â Danny smiled as he stared at the trippy room.
âThank you, Peni helped me with them,â was all Noir said before walking out and closing the door. âTake a picture of your room for Jazz,â Noir reminded him before walking downstairs.
Danny blinked before walking to his room and taking a few pictures to show Jazz what it looked like. He walked downstairs to find Jazz and Noir in the living room, scrolling through Xilften and stopping on different titles such as Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and Nana.
âHey,â Danny called out as he sat down on the couch next to Jazz, showing her the picture of his room.
âThat looks nice,â Jazz smiled, âIt reminds of the sky back home, always changing,â she chuckled when she noticed some of the glittter on some of the sheer fabrics made to look like the night sky shimmered in different ways in each picture.
âYeah! It looks so cool,â Danny smiled widely as Noir nodded in agreement.
âWhy don't we watch something stupid? Hmm.. how about this?â Jazz picked a random movie, Baby Driver, and looked towards Noir and Danny.
âSure,â Danny shrugged as Noir nodded again.
She put it on, expecting to be able to watch it, but she soon found herself bone tired from her break out shopping spree earlier today. She felt herself slump and close her eyes and she vaguely registered the soft snoring of Danny beside her.
Noir stared at his sleeping siblings in amusement. He reached up and tugged off his mask, staring at the sleepy Jazz and passed out Danny.
âCall me Benji,â he whispered into the silent room, smiling slightly as he did so. He didn't fight the pull of sleep, though he did finish the movie before he fell asleep. He felt himself smile as he relaxed, siblings⊠he thought before he washed away by sleep.
Miguel found all of them sleeping in the living room and huffed in amusement. He moved Jazz first, gently moving her so he could pick her up and bring her to her room since her room was closest.
He then picked up Benji, since he knew his oldest would wake up if he moved Danny first since Danny had an arm draped over Benji. He let out a sigh of relief when Benji didn't wake and brought him upstairs to his room.
Miguel brought Danny to his room last, which was easy since Danny didn't even begin to wake up when he was picked up. Miguel let out a sigh when he placed Danny in bed, next to that atrocious plush of his Spiderman self, and walked to the door. He glanced at Danny one last time before slowly closing the door.
He'll tell them tomorrowâŠ

David Kaufman 's not going ghost on the conversation about who should play Danny Phantom in the live-action movie ... telling TMZ he's got some clear casting ideas.
The actor -- who voiced the titular character in all 53 episodes of the television show and reprised his role in subsequent movies and video games ... told us he's all for Tom Holland playing DP though he thinks Spider-Man might be all done with superheroes for a while.
Here's the deal ... Butch Hartman , creator of a whole bunch of well-known animated shows for Nickelodeon in the 2000s, recently spoke at MegaCon in Orlando and said if there ever was a "Danny Phantom" live-action movie, he'd only want Tom Holland in the role.
For those who don't know, "Danny Phantom" followed a teenager named Danny Fenton who gained ghost-like abilities after a portal to another world exploded and turned him into half-human, half-ghost.
A big if of course ... nothing like this has gone into production or even been announced as far as we can tell -- but it's still something Kaufman really put his mind to, and he decided TH is fine by him if he wants to do it.
DK pointed out Tom's headed to the West End for a production of "Romeo & Juliet" ... a fact David thinks is great for him since it's a departure from the superhero roles Holland has nailed to this point in his career.
Quite frankly, it's not difficult to imagine Tom wanting to pursue different kinds of roles moving forward either since the dude's a talent tour de force.
Kaufman wasn't just countering Butch's idea though ... he also came up with a couple casting calls of his own -- "Stranger Things" actor Noah Schnapp as Danny and Billie freakin' Eilish as his friend-turned-love-interest Sam.
David complimented Noah on his comedic timing, saying he thinks that's a huge part of Danny's character -- so any actor playing him needs to know their way around a joke. And, just look up some pics of the characters ... pretty perfect casting, at least appearance-wise.
Billie doesn't have much acting experience, but that's never stopped Hollywood before ... and she's up for her second Best Original Song Oscar, so maybe she'll be inspired to give acting a try.
Someone from Nickelodeon better start making calls ... they wouldn't want an opportunity like this to come back and haunt them!
