Just listed – 1998 Rustler 36. She has a blue hull and NO TEAK decks. Sailed in Northern latitudes for most of her life, she presents well. Hydrovane, duogen charger, staysail tracks on coach roof with removable inner forestay, cruising chute, AIS, diesel heating, life raft, WiFi system. The standing rigging is new (2023). History of Rustler

Rustler Yachts is a distinguished British boat manufacturer, originally established in 1963 by Kim Holman, a highly esteemed naval architect. The company was chiefly known for producing the iconic Rustler 36, a high-quality, long-keel cruising yacht, which debuted on the market in 1980 and quickly became renowned for its durability and seaworthiness. Holman was a pioneer in his methods of construction and design, creating a legacy of high-performance, seaworthy boats with sleek, sophisticated lines. The first workshop was located in the old rust-proofing building at Robinson's Yard, Penpol, near Falmouth in Cornwall, which is why the company was aptly named Rustler.

Owners comments

Orions Girl was built by the manager of Orion Marine Falmouth, for his planned voyage to New Zealand. She was exhibited at the 1990 Southampton boat show, where we saw her and liked her lines. We understand that family commitments caused a change of plan and she was sold to a new owner who kept her in Brittany.

We saw her for sale in Southampton in 1998, recognised her and bought her. We have used her for our summer cruises along the French and English Coasts. Her condition is that of a much loved well maintained comfortable weatherly sea boat.

Apart from the year we bought her, she has been taken out of the water every year for maintenance. When kept on her mooring, she came out in November and went back in during March or April, when in Port Solent this has usually been for about 3 months.
